Volcom's Androlean & Androhard Log

I'm sorry to hear about Spencer, bro. I've had to see 2 of my dogs put down that both went blind when they were only 6. It absolutely sucks, but like you said, you're doing it for them because their quality of life isn't what it should be anymore.

I feel the same way as you about grieving more for a dog than for a person. I've never lost anyone that close to me yet, but I cried my eyes out with each of my pups going. For me, part of my compassion toward animals more-so than humans is that they don't have the malicious intent that people can; they don't lie; etc.

Keeping you in my prayers.

Wife found this when our first Pug died, I could really imagine this.. it's going to make you cry but that's part of grieving but it's happy thought...

Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

I appreciate all the support guys. I think I got most of my grief out yesterday. I basically mourned him all yesterday and came to terms, so when he goes, it hopefully won't be too overwhelming.

On a brighter note, I'm down to 198.5lbs. I haven't lost poundage at this rate since the first month of my cut. I've got a short amount of time left in this stack and I'm hoping to reach 195 by that time.

^^^^^^^ cannot wait for this

Same here. Saturday is going to be a weird day. I have to put my dog to sleep in the morning, but at night I'm meeting some friends at sports bar to watch UFC 129. It's a good thing I don't drink anymore or it would be a liver intensive night.

Part of me is meh towards the card, but there is some excitement. I mainly want to watch Aldo/Hominick and Couture/Machida.

My tier of interest would go Aldo/Hominick, GSP/Shields and Couture/Machida. I'm not as concerned about the results of these fights as I am just interested in watching the fights themselves.

The last fights that had me really riled up about the results of the fight was Cain/Brock and Sonnen/Silva. Penn/Fitch would have made that list because BJ is one of my favorite fighters, but I was expecting Fitch to take that fight. I'm expecting GSP to take this fight as well, though I'm pulling for Shields just to mix things up in that division.

I like the card and there is about 3 or 4 fights that im really interested in. Coture is one of my all time favorites and I want to see him end his career on a highlight, but Machida is one of my favs as well, I bought his instructional book and id like to see him matched up against John Jones.

All signs point to this being the last fight for Couture. As I've watched more and more fights, I've grown to love watching him more than everyone except for Wand. He is the epitome of an athlete and a warrior. There has to be a movie about his life.

Logistically, I'm picking Lyoto, but sentimentally, I'm pulling for Randy. He's a true legend.

sam-i know how hard it is to lose a dog that is in reality a part of the family.
condolences, my friend!!!!

glad to see all of this support from everyone!!!

Volume Blast

Pre-Lift Cardio:
Treadmill HIIT: 25 min
Stairclimber: 15 min

Ironically, when I don't feel like lifting on chest day, I end up doing this block set routine that doesn't have the feel of an "I don't feel like lifting" day. Basically, I use it primarily to accomplish some deep DOMS.

Hammer Push Downs - Facing Away/Bent Over to emphasize the Chest
180lbs x 15 reps
180lbs x 15 reps
180lbs x 15 reps
200lbs x 10 reps
200lbs x 10 reps
200lbs x 10 reps
220lbs x 6 reps
220lbs x 6 reps
220lbs x 6 reps
240lbs x 5 reps
240lbs x 5 reps
240lbs x 5 reps

All under 15 min. It's fast, it's intense, it's I want to get out of there.

Pec Dec Flies
100lbs x 10 reps x 5 sets

Decline Cable Flies
100lbs x 10 reps x 5 sets

My endurance has shot up in these past two weeks in an extraordinary fashion and so has the weight loss. No complaints here.

Thanks BigT. Two more days and he won't be in anymore pain. It'll be a sad day, but I'll also be largely relieved that my poor old dog is better off.

10:00am tomorrow morning is the official time my dog goes on. I think my mom is taking is pretty bad, she wants us to get together and take one last family photo with Spencer before we go to the vets. I'm not a sentimental picture taker, but this final family photo with the family dog business might get me choked up.

As far as the AH/AL. At this point, I really wished I had yet another bottle of ANDROLean now that the fat burning process has rejuvinated itself.

First off great job on the log so far. I have been lurking throughout your log and all the other AL/AH logs.

Second, sorry to hear about your dog. I do not even want imagine what it will be like to put my dog down. Hopefully, thats not for another 6-8 years. Good luck man. Hope things go smoothly for ya through this transition.

Weighted Pull Ups
BW x 10 reps
BW + 25lbs x 10 reps
BW + 35lbs x 10 reps + 2 reps PR since my senior year of undergrad.
BW + 45lbs x 8 reps + 2 reps PR
BW + 45lbs x 7 reps
BW + 45lbs x 6 reps

This would be the most dramatic of strength effects I've felt this whole time. Granted, I've lost some weight, but I was far from these numbers added-weight-wise at 203lbs.

Pull Downs
190lbs x 10 reps
210lbs x 8 reps
220lbs x 6 reps
220lbs x 6 reps

Hammer High Rows - Off the handle grip (I think I've seen Dorian use this off the handle grip)
200lbs x 10 reps
250lbs x 8 reps
250lbs x 8 reps
250lbs x 8 reps

Hammer Pull Downs - Behind The Neck
200lbs x 10 reps
220lbs x 8 reps
240lbs x 6 reps
240lbs x 6 reps

Treadmill: 30 min jog.

Real nice solo workout. I was most amped about the weighted pull ups, my strength on that particular exercise felt extraordinary.

aint stronger at a lower weight nice, lol.:bigok:

I can't say enough to try to help you with your loss, brother. I have 3 dogs that really are my babies and I can't imagine what kind of shape I'll be in when I lose any of them. I hope Spencer is out of pain and goes on to a better place.

Took the dog in at 10:45am, not a dry eye in the room except for my dad. My younger brother was sobbing, but he didn't have the luxury of mourning privately like I had all week, so for him, it all came out when they put the first injection of anaesthesia in and that's about when I teared up. Anyway, my poor dog isn't suffering anymore, so it's a bitter sweet.

I went to the gym after we put our dog down, not so much because I wanted to lift, but lifting always helps to flush out the toxins, emotionally speaking.

Power Snatches 135lbs x 3 reps x 9 sets
[I haven't done these in a short while, so it felt excessively taxing and the technique wasn't right on point]

Rack Deads
315lbs x 10 reps
405lbs x 5 reps
495lbs x 5 reps
545lbs x 5 reps
585lbs x 1 rep

Barbell Shrugs 315lbs x 10 reps x 5 sets

I'm glad he isn't suffering any more, man. He was lucky to clearly have a loving family to spend all those years with.

Thanks bro, he was certainly loved and spoiled, particularly in his latter years of life. He was a good dog.

anyone who has this kind of care and compassion for his dog is a good man in my book!!!

UFC 129 Spoiler Post.

I appreciate the kind words, you're all too kind. The house is empty without the dog and I can still see him in his spot on the bathroom floor, but again, he's better off now.

This morning I went for my first fasted jog around the block. In retrospect, I wished I would have done this sooner, because I have the anabolic effects to buffer the catabolism associated with long jogs. I took my AH/AL in the morning, along with the 500mg Rhodiola and 2 Lean Xtremes before my jog. Went about 30 min around the neighborhood and it was easier then I thought it would.

As for UFC 129 (Spoiler Alert)

Rory Jorgonsen, wow.... talk about bringing back the German suplex with a bang. That was one fantastic pre-lim fight.

Ben Henderson, I love that guy and he brought it. I was really rooting for him to win.

Randy/Machida..... Karate Kid finale anyone, that was a literal Red Dragon karate jump kick and it worked and it cracked me up that Steven Seagal got another shot out for teaching his 9th Dan super secret "Tha Seagal" kick.

Aldo/Homminick, that's what a championship fight should look like. A real battle where the fight goes back & forth, lots of drama and both guys giving it their all.

GSP/Shields. Predictable win for GSP, unpredictable and shocking that Shields hung in as well as he did in the striking department.

Yah that feeling is strange you expect to see your dog when you walk in the door or get up in the morning.. then you realize... it does pass and you get used to it after a while and don't think about it as much...

Oh started a lean gains log ...

I Couldn't say it any better than Rodja ^^. Nice to see how your progress is still coming on strong.

Chest was a good day. My chest strength is declining, but my back strength seems to be improving as I continue to cut.

Flat Bench

Hammer Press Downs - Facing Away/Leaning Over

200lbs x 8 reps
220lbs x 6 reps

Treadmill HIIT: 20 min.

I'm noticing increased vascularity on my arms, which still isn't much, but I'm not a vascular person, so even when I see three or four blue veins, I get excited.

As we're facing the final days, I've officially finalized my PCT and it's going to be a doozy.

Nova: 20/20/10/10
DAA: 15 days on
Phyto-Test: 4/daily
Titanium: 4/daily
PRIME: 9/daily
X-force: 4/daily
Creatine Nitrate: 4 daily w/1 scoop Mesomorph daily

Have you dropped much weight during this cut? (Might be I missed it skimming through)

I'm going to drop my dosage from 3AH/3AL a day to 2AH/2AL to wean down these final days. Im eye balling what's left in my bottles, I'd say I'll be wrapped up with this stack and will be taking final pictures sometime next week. I have my pre stack pictures that I took on 3/11/11 to contrast with.

Don't think you need to imo. PCT looks solid, looking forward to the results bud.

Minor typo in my PCT. No X-force, but X-factor by Molecular and I forgot to include ERASE on that list.

I'm most looking forward to the Phyto-Test (again), for whatever reason, that product has the most notable effect on libido then anything else I've tried.

I figured that's what you meant, I have used it before in PCT only issue I have with it is it kills my joints.

Love Phyto in PCT, coupled with DAA it's immediate libido support

Delts day, but again, my workout partner is having some joint issue so we had to avoid any pressing movements, which is fine by me. I tried something new for fun today, block sets with Hang Cleans. It was great for caloric expenditure and just a fun challenge to start off our press-less delts day.

Hang Cleans
135lbs x 10 reps
135lbs x 10 reps
135lbs x 10 reps
155lbs x 5 reps
155lbs x 5 reps

Db Lateral Raises
30lbs Db's x 10 reps
35lbs Db's x 10 reps
35lbs Db's x 10 reps
35lbs Db's x 10 reps

Seated Db Cleans
30lbs x 8 reps
30lbs x 8 reps
30lbs x 8 reps

Cable Reverse Flies
70lbs x 10 reps
75lbs x 10 reps
80lbs x 8 reps

One Arm Cable, Posterior Delt Pulls
120lbs x 10 reps, each arm
140lbs x 10 reps, each arm
160lbs x 10 reps, each arm
180lbs x 8 reps, each arm

Cardio: On my way out to the car I decided I'd go for a run-run, rather then the treadmill, so I ran a 3.5 mile block that circled the vicinity of my gym. Good stuff.

196lbs this morning. These were the type of drastic results I was expecting from ANDROLean. I haven't been losing 2lbs a week since I was going from 220-210lbs. I'd been lucky to get 1lb to .5lb a week once I got to 207lbs, then I hit about a 3 week wall at 203lbs and now I'm back in an intense weight loss mode. I'm down 5lbs in the last 10 days, which is normal at the front of the cut, but at this point it's borderline miraculous.

Also, my traps and delts are sore as HELL from yesterday's Hang Cleans fest.

I hit a 3.7 mile loop today and I'm not proud to say it took me 50 min to complete, but it was on terrain and the loop is funky. It's a steep, steep 2 miles up, then a long, dragged out downhill the rest of the way. However, by the time you hit the downward slope, you're 3/4ths dead from that 2 mile uphill drudge. I've got a major wife beater tan going on too now.... which may show up in the pictures, lol.

Ha, I usually get this or a Tshirt tan every year.
