Yeah... You're right. I know it's not organic if it's locally grown (unless it says it is, but even then...). Jersey tomatoes are unbeatable."Locally grown" or food from local farmers is more about reducing one's carbon footprint by supporting agriculture in one's own area. It does not imply any degree of "organic-ness" unless specifically stated.
I find it hard to buy organic produce knowing that I am still inhaling toxins in the air, drinking them in the water and having them creep into my body from a million other angles. I support the concept totally..but then I also work towards having a clean environment.
The dangers of an unregulated industry. When companies are not held accountable, they do what is necessary for that all important bottom line.
Awesome work Lake, everyone can take a fatalists’ approach: “the air we breathe is polluted, the soil is contaminated so what difference does it make if the supplements are contaminated too? It doesn't mean much in the overall scheme of things”....I think worrying about things you can’t change is useless, we should focus our energy on things we can change because even a little step forward is still a step FORWARD ! :thumbsup:
