Man, you guys like playing with fire. You know that individual points can be reset right or even canceled? You should take advantage of the rep system being reset and trying to actually gain the points in the way the system was put into place.
 
Jay - some have earned Reps the right way but still got them taken away...

I understand where you're coming from, it just seems odd that we have a Rep system in which they are always taken or erased.

why work hard to build up reps when they get set back to zero eventually.

good post. really its senseless to keep taking away rep points. its a joke now. i dont give a fvck if they add negs to tell you the truth. fvck it. i know i earned a lot of previous reps from good posting and to have all of those taken away is ridiculous. wtf is the point? i could care less now. You can honestly sit there and tell me you worked hard at earning reps. Granted, certainly some reps are merited by valuable posting, but the majority is just rep whoring and back repping. I mean people can sit there and try to tell me it isn't true but then I can pull up peoples account ands tell you that you wrong.

Now it is just silly that anyone even cares. Seriously.

You know Gixx, I extended you some consideration in both cases. The first was a time out ban. I was hopeful that some would have learned a lesson from that and at least been a lot less blatant on their abuse and their insulting me. I even warned him about being Gixxed if he did not reel it in. Obviously that did not work in RA.

The second time was for a minute of three. ;)

I don't want to ban people. I ask them. I ask them again. I warn them. I warn them again. They mock me. They insult me. They insinuate things about me. My job and the way I do it is not up for discussion. I answer to Bobo. I promise you, you would rather deal with me. I am done.

Third one is a charm. Please. I don't want to go there.

yeah we're just having fun. we really mean no harm to anyone. I admit I probably havent had one post worth repping, although I have asked a handful of good questions.

yes. many of my reps are a joke.

i was only making a point that the rep system is silly - and even more so now.

i don't think that most take it that seriously. i don't.

and why do we care? because it is soo much fun. :)
 
I think the reputation also helps bond you to the community. Some days when I'm not feeling well I go look and see if there is any new rep that puts a smile on my face. Reminds you that you have online friends and family that give a damn.

Yes, agreed. It breeds community commrodery(sp) and closeness. Absolutely. That is really how it IS being used for the most part. Let's face it. I do, you do, most all of us do for that reason the majority of times. Assigning it some status or credibility and worth beyond that is silly.

I could rep you with "didn't mean to sound rude with that post" but I will say it here.

Thank you...And while I agree I don't think there are many people who base it on credibility anyway. Just whether you are a well liked member of the community, maybe? For me it just makes me feel like I have a place I enjoy that I want to visit every day!

Or in my case, it's reps from Tripdog with "[his phone#] ~Call me baby" on the tagline. It's kinda creepy. In that regard, I'm kinda glad to see all of those messages were erased.

i was watching this and it kind of reminded me of b5150's and gixxers relationship.

 
You know guys I really would like everyone to start repping for good posts....I do understand why they serve a purpose. I mean by all means rep,but lets try to make them for posts,and thanks for help than just being retarded. I am guilty,but I also help people.......so I dont for a second feel guilty about those reps. I dont understand why people feel so threatened by someone having reps.....Im sick of everyone singleing us out as some horable group of rule breaking thuggs.......We all add things to this board.......jokes,and humor are a human emotion!!!! It's not fun to be a miserable prick all the time. Friendships and bonds are also a healthy thing!!! Im I wrong???????? ..........ok done ranting......sorry im kinda pissy right now.(I think i got my period)
