Training log revamp ROUND 3 lol

Ha, I had one in the 90s as well….there’s a few of us old enough in here.

I use to use EAS products back in the 90’s. They were one of the top companies back in today. One of the first ones to push a creatine product with dextrose mixed with it. It was pretty tasty. I think it was called Phosphegen HP

It was phosphegen hp, they still sell it. Also hi tech stole or bought out or something but, the name phosphegen and put it on there creatine

I just graduated high school when I read the supplement review second edition. EAS andro 6 product was also really well done. Betagen was their best tho it was phosphagen with hmb added to it. Expensive as all hell tho. The only thing I didn't like about the book is that Bill made creatine sound as good or even better than real gear and as a high school kid who was just getting old enough to join a real gym I believed that just like everyone in muscle and fitness was natty and followed all the weider principles lol

I was in my 20’s when the first two additions came out. I had forgot about Betagen but I do remember it was as high as a giraffe’s puzzy! Bill did pump up creatine and was a big advocate about taking a loading phase of it for the first 10 days.
 
Great boxing training workout yesterday and today I lifted a little and did some grappling with the MMA guys, one of them is fighting in December so I'm gonna train with him to get my cardio up and give him a extra body to train with.

Wide chins 9,9,8

Grappling/wrestling at about 50%

Last night I fucked up. I ate 3mint chip protein bars, 3 chocolate peanut butter high protein granola bars, and three devil dogs. All after dinner. Plus a bunch of chocolate milk and it took my calories for the day from 3100 to a little over 5600😱

I know, I know, I'm not proud of me either.

Today

Protein bar in a coffee

A 200 calorie wrap with deli0turkey, grilled chicken, a bunch of lentils and hummus and roasted peppers and stuff like that.

Then I had the same thing again for lunch but this time with a couple of dates

Then I had a protein shake on the way to the gym and a coffee

And then I just had two servings of thisInvalid Link Removed

I'm a little over 3500 calories today.

In my defense tho I'm not gaining weight, just staying at 202-204.

I think all the cardio is driving up my appetite lol, hopefully it levels off soon.

I'm back to trt and there's probably some residual EQ still in my system but I feel really good, much better then I did after 4 weeks on winstrol.

Maybe my age is making things change a little bit cuz I never had any issues in the past with winstrol and I wouldn't say I had an issue, I felt okay while I was on it but now being off of it I realize how much better I feel.

My entire cycle was not very long, only like 9 weeks total I think, but I guess that last 4 weeks was where I started getting lethargic, never lost my appetite or got any kind of acid reflux or anything weird like that just lethargic feeling.

Don't feel bad bro..it's the cardio I have to do mine at night because of work just like you and after I have my post workout meal I'm still starving and I get outta the shower and just stare at the Lenny and Larry's protein cookies in my nightstand and try to convince myself I need to eat more because if I'm still hungry than I'm still catabolic but there's no way with the amount of protein I eat throughout the day and the amount of gear I'm on plus the changes in my physique. You know it's going well when dudes at the gym are like bro seriously wtf are you taking lol

That’s funny, we have our 14 year old Grandson living with us, and I told that boy either I’m going to have to start hiding snacks from him or buy a cabinet with a lock, because we’ll get him a week worth of snacks and if your not careful, you’ll turn around and it will be gone in a couple of days. Of course I remember at 14 I ate like I had a tapeworm too.😜

I've done a 3 lb steak, 48 oz dry aged, a little over a pound of whipped sweet potatoes and he would take a bunch of asparagus egg wash it bread crumbs and then deep fry it and then wrap it with fontina cheese and melt it and hit it with a drizzle of sweet balsamic vinegar reduction.

It's like a 5 lb meal lol.

Few years back I did a pork belly eating contest, it's like pure fat lol. Delicious in small amounts but the challenge was 2lbs of pork belly, some cabbage stuff and some drinks in under 20min.

I got their 1 and 3/4lbs and I hit the wall. It was just too much fat.

I actually got the farthest out of everyone and we did the math, I ate a little over 8,000 calories in 12min or so.

Later that day I was throwing up what looked like pure fat. Sick for 2 days with what felt like a hangover and I couldn't look at pork for a couple weeks lol.

Ive done a wing eating contest (I actually lost, came in second to a 120lb girl), a meatball eating contest (I won, 3lbs of meatballs, 2 little sauce cups and a cup of mozzarella cheese with a beverage of choice in under 20min, a pizza contest (I won, 22 slices of Pizza 😂) and my cousin has made me various steak dinners with the goal of making something I can't finish lol.

Dr. Says I have a junk food deficiency. So it's ok for me to eat this garbage 😆😆😆

Maybe some digestive enzymes and/or probiotics? The gnc brand digestive enzymes are pretty legit. Back in the day they had this supplement called engorge that worked well but they claimed it stimulated ghrelin and if that's the case yiu don't want that whike dropping calories

Over the years I've tried various probiotics, from store brand to prescription medications and they never do much for me.

They always initially make the problem a little bit worse and then the problem seems to get a little bit better but it's short-lived

Digestive enzymes and fermented foods seem to help a little bit ultimately the problem lies in the way I eat. I have IBS, and while I don't think it's supposed to be hereditary, me, my brother,sister and father all have it to some degree, even my son has it pretty bad. Mine seems to be the worse but I'm also a human garbage disposal so it's mostly my own fault.

When I go to only meat rice and vegetables with a little fruit here and there, the stomach problem almost completely dissapear.

But for the past few weeks I've been eating protein bars and having desserts a few times a week and it's getting to be a issue.

Also you got to keep into consideration that when I say that I eat something I eat like 10 times the recommended serving size lol.

If your cousin ever isn't available for a massive steak you should look into a Brazilian Steakhouse for your meat fix! 35-65 a plate for all you can eat directly off the skewer sliced meats! I always eat a couple lbs of meat at one of those, and get to mix and match with a lot of excellent cuts of meat! Fogo De Chau, Texas De Brazil, Chuama Gaucha and places like that. Whenever i travel i always try to find the closest one to see if there is something better. One of my favorite treat meals in the world! Speaking of... me and my boy need to make another meat pilgrimage soon. It has been too long.!

Ohhhjj, I have a bottle of endurance, its 50mg/ml carnosine I accidentally bought from AA. I don't know what the heck to deal with it so I just pinned the milliliter in each dealt before I left the house and see what happens lol.

I think I've used it to other times, once the reconstitute peptides and once I did a half milliliter and nothing happened with the half milliliter or 25mg so let's see what 100 does

I think the video is actually called chicken and rice motherf.ckers there's a couple parts to it but he says picture your stomach like a garbage bag and you have all this steak potatoes oatmeal fruit and whatever else abd you mix it all up and picture what that looks like and what it's doing to your gut if you ear 500 grams of protein a day but yiu can only digest 50 of it you ain't gaining very much

Stan Efferding's Vertical Diet is similar but he uses only steak, however he has it ground for easier digestion. As well as a lot of other things he suggest for that and gut health. He fixes a lot of peoples issues up with that. He gives precise vegetables and things to hit all the needed micronutrients.
 
Today's push, more volume and much shorter rest then I normally do but even though it was a good workout I felt like all my pressing movements I should have used slightly more weight than I should have did probably an extra set on everything. But I kind of wanted to feel things out to the extra volume and then use tomorrow to gauge my soreness.

As far as 100mg Carnosine goes, idk, I felt like I had a ton of endurance but I've been working on my endurance so it's really hard to tell. There was no holy crap moment though, on my next push day I'm going to use 150 mg and see what happens and I'll keep creeping the dose up until I find whether or not it works or use all the stuff up cuz I don't really have any other use for it anyway so why not. You know what's really weird, when I use the easy bar or the v-shaped bar on tricep press Downs I can do the entire stack for sets of 10 which is like 100+
But with the role and focusing on the squeeze and contraction, 35x15 is f****** challenging and I kept feeling like I was going to get a muscle spasm again. Those numbers I used on the dumbbell crushers, I can usually get 30s for over 20 reps but I was just toast by the time I got to them

I do the rope for my high volume warmups (4x25) or tendon work at the end(100+ straight), but if going as a muscle builder I use a metal handle so I can lift hard sets of 10-15 reps

I'm sticking with the rope because when I'm working hard with the metal handles it's a very short matter of time before I'm maxing out the stack for 10 plus reps so we get stagnant. I want to work the rope up to as heavy as I can go for 12-15 and then my plan was to switch to single arm press Downs.

When I was 220+ I was using the metal bar for sets of 12-15 with the whole stack plus the extra plates on top. But now that I think about it there's other machines like the lat pulldown machine where I could just use that and it would provide me with way more weight. The machine I normally use is actually meant for cable press downs and it just doesn't go up that heavy. 100lbs

I couldn’t eat that much pork belly! I make smoked pork belly burnt ends all the time on my smoker. Like you said. Absolutely delicious in small amounts but not made to eat in bulk

Yeah I like it acutely preWO for practicing competition movements when I get close to a meet. Like when I’m doing the real movement, no variations of any kind.

You will commonly see it dosed at 20-30mg, but Alex always said 8-10mg was sufficient and I produced the best squat of my life using that 1-2x a week on my squat and sometimes bench days. Like it really helped me dial in my exact technique & learn the motor pattern.

Thank brotha, my interest is in learning more footwork and hand speed drills and combinations, but also I'm looking for the ability to focus more in general and a overall sense of well being/anxiety reduction (it's only mild anxiety from time to time but I figure any reduction is good)

Any thoughts on those things?

We have Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse here in Atlanta. I love steak, and like you said it’s nothing to put down a couple of pounds of steak. A little pricey, but hey when you’re a big meat eater you get your money’s worth.😜

My wife and I went to one not long ago. First time either of us has been to one. My wife isn’t a fan of buffets. She got up to check out the sides and I stayed at the table. She came back and I had at least 2 and a half pounds of different meats on my plate. I ate a very small salad and continued to eat the meats. She’s seen me eat a lot of food but even she was surprised at how much I ate that night. Meat sweats from hell

Il be honest, it kinda sounds like a chain restaurant a little but I'm not sure. Next time I don't have a busy weekend I'm going to go check it out, worst case scenario it's in the shopping plaza I'll find something else to do there afterwards
 
Thank brotha, my interest is in learning more footwork and hand speed drills and combinations, but also I'm looking for the ability to focus more in general and a overall sense of well being/anxiety reduction (it's only mild anxiety from time to time but I figure any reduction is good)

Any thoughts on those things?

It would be absolutely perfect for learning the drill work & improving with it. The ideal supplement. It has a very fast half life though so while I think it helps focus slightly, it’s only going to be useful in that session - it’s not something I’d bother for taking at work or home, unless you had a very mentally-involved project for an hour or two perhaps.

Take choline with it. Harder you think/process, the more substrate you need to pay that toll.

Texas De Brazil was the best chain restaurant experience of my life probably. They’re all essentially the same, these mega-meat places. And that’s a good thing IMO, because they have a great user experience model.

They have some amazing food, it is a chain but not a cheapo chain. You find 1 a large city if you are lucky. They are actually really good. I have been to 4 of them, the one near Dallas Ft Worth Area has been my favorite but one in Vegas was the tits too! One thing you always want to tell them is you want the outside cut only. Also do not take meat you are not eating immediately. If you still have 2 ounces on you plate tell them to come back with the next skewer and you can even tell the medium rare or whatever. Trust me outside cut is where it is at. The magic is the combination of caramelized meat and the salt. Also don't waste your time with any of the stupid stuff like chicken wings, barbecue stuff. Ask for the stuff you want. Picanha is their specialty but they normally have amazing lamb chops, leg of lamb, bottom sirloin, filets, naked or with bacon or parmesan and sometimes as a specially they have a beef rib roast. So pass on the sausage and cheap cuts of meat. It is extremely cheap when you realize you can get these very expensive cuts of meat and pounds of them compared to one good steak for the same money.
Also I always tell them to bump up the salt if it doesn't have much. On a lot of the meats that is the only seasoning they use, and sometimes they dumb it down for salt sensitive American's and it really takes away a lot of what makes it the Brazilian style. Again the key is that contrast between the bitter of the caramelization and the salt so if one part of that is missing you are missing what it is you are there to eat. So outside cut and decent salting are a must for their best mouthwatering meal!

Definitely worth a drive man. Also don't let the salad bar entice you too much. I go but will only grad small things I don't see at other places plus you gotta get some chimichurri sauce for your meats.

The Fort Worth area one was where we went, and it was excellent.

Like Kleen says, pass on the cheap cuts and hold for what you really like! And don’t let the stacked salad bar distract you.

The lamb was great there, and I generally don’t even like lamb.

Funny you say don’t let the salad bar entice you. My wife always says “Don’t you want a salad?” I tell her, nope it’s all about the meat, and a salad just takes up room.🔥

@Hyde Scince were on the subject of specific goal enhancement I'm picking up some bronchaid tomorrow from Walgreens. Here in Cali I guess you have to go right to the pharmacist and you can only get one a month but anyways will it Crack me out like the old MA huang or can I take it at night when I hit the gym?
