To Infinity.... and Beyond!

I have read that some trees (specifically needles/pines in my case) leave too much acidity in the soil so that basically only moss and more trees can grow under their shadow, which makes sense because out in the woods there is no grass, just a very thick PNW underbrush. we have been talking about shrinking our front yard by about half and bringing in new soil to make what stays a very nice grass yard, then zero grass landscaping the other half. it's just a hard design for me to come up with, my wife is the spatially gifted one, I'm horrible about those things. I'm the guy from the meme who can live in a condo loft with nothing on the walls but a tv and gym equipment, lol.

I've done a number of different treatments and tested the soil and it seems like very anti-moss measure I take, makes the moss stronger lol.
What a pain in the arse. Maybe @BOSSMAN can give you some pointers on that.

Warm up
Laterals and forward raises with 10lb plate
Bb rows and bb curls

Bench
15 x bar, 95
5 x 135

+ Green band

1 x 225

No band

12 x 190
15 x 155

CGBP
3 x 10 x 135

Wide grip
20 x 95

Tri cable extensions
4 x 12

Super set with lateral raises
4 x 10 x 30s

Ez bar curls, slow descent
3 x 12 for the pump

Machine flies
3 sets

Band setup look better? The resistance is definitely higher.

Such a weird sensation throwing reps after the bands.

Today was a bit of a grind. Wanted to attempt a 265 x 5 but happy with my triple for today. Headed back out so can't lift again till Monday and wanted to move weight first.

I meant to drop back and 9x3 banded work but the gym was getting packed and I didn't want to monopolize the 90sInvalid Link Removed

Nice looking session! That band set up looks intense! Also kinda intimidating 😂

It is a bit lol, that's why I start at only 135... It really hits different. I still have no idea what the equivalent weight really is when I'm pushing 225 + the bands like that but it was definitely a good challenge.

With the bands on there, the weight is pulled in that very specific line without allowing an easy bell curve in your rom so it's an interesting sensation.

Oh I bet it is quite different, what is the feeling like after the bands? You noted it’s a weird sensation so just curious.

Fuckin bizarre!
Once you hit the halfway point, the normal sticking point, after warming up with bands it feels like a ghost is spotting you and like WOOSH pushing the last half of the rep. It's wild!

Nice session! I remember doing banded work on a few Mountain Dog programs but I never did straight reps after. I can see how that would do that though.

I'm loving them!

Can't wait till next week, I'm excited for my annual boys fishing trip tomorrow but my lifting is all outta whack and I need to get my routine fired back up consistent

Pines are your enemy in this situation. You are correct, if you look under pines there will be no growth. You can actually use pine needles as a natural weed prevention and killer.

Warm up

DB RDLs, curls, rows

Power cleans
5 x 135, 175

Deads
3 x 225, 275
1 x 325, 365, 405

Off one purple plate (2"?)
3 x 405

Off the ground again
11 x 315 (sure I had 15+ but form was getting sloppy)

RDLs (DOH, no hook)
3 x 8 x 225

Bb rows
3 x 10 x 135

DB curls
3 x 10 x 40s
(Haven't really done these in a while, surprised at how light they felt)

Hammer curls
50s x 9, 10, 10

Ez bar curls
3 x 12 x 50lb super super slow tut for pump
30 x 40lbs

Notes
Since I'm rebooting the routine after two inconsistent weeks my plan was to be effective rather than extra heavy. Stimulate but not annihilate.

405 felt smooth and clean but felt a little pull in the groin so propped it up on plates for a couple reps cause my rom seems a little short today. Not an issue!

Sweating like a pig!
Current stack as of yesterday:

Anabolic XT
Anabolic Effect
phosphatidic XT (finishing this week)
epiandroLean (finished today)
Pump Addict

Plus
Sabroxy
Joint XT
Orchic extract
Fish oil

Nice session, deadlift numbers are looking strong as usual! How’s the joints/ligaments feeling? Looks like you got a nice stack rocking along!!

Joints are feeling pretty good, only once did I get a little twinge in the inside of the right elbow. It's a golfers elbow by name, could be from grip on deads or just golfing but I've had it come and go for 20+ years and one thing Ive learned is meh... Just don't kill it and it will recover.

I have feelings on this stack already but I want to give it this full week before I comment. So far I think the combo of anabolic XT and sabroxy are absolute fire.

I know I'm already dreaming about a late summer or fall stack and I think I might just give Steve a budget and say here's $x dollars, send me whatever

Oh I know I was wanting to re stock on the 4th of July sale. Unfortunately my budget this month isn’t letting me do that, can I raise the debt ceiling?? Lol all jokes aside I plan on running a few stacks this winter when I will have more time and not as busy.

we've been trying to pull in the purse strings a bit as well, the inflation is no joke. When I think about how much more daily life costs per month than it did 2 years ago it blows my mind. we are definitely budgeting better and being more mindful of where we spend these days. I think I figured my gas bill is up like $700 from the low sub $2 gas we had (Washington now has highest gas in the nation and I drive a LOT)

No real notes today. A little cramped for time cause lifting with my buddy but at least I had proper lift off and a spotter so that was great. I do believe in my heart those bands are doing wonders though, cause even with my warm up sets it was crazy how once the bar got to/through a normal sticking point it just sorta exploded into the finish...

Crazy pumps today too.... Still sweating but not as bad as yesterday.

Ever since hitting 225 x 10 been trying to increase my back off sets. 235 x 8 is pretty nifty, excited to see where that might go.
I felt like I needed to hit one more pressing movement today so I was bummed to leave early but an hour later my arms were feeling like dead weight so maybe this was enough work lol

I've decided that the hardest part of fasting is entirely social. There was the boredom when I did ADF and this morning a brief 5-10 minutes of that I'm gonna puke feeling but generally speaking I'm at around 20hrs into a 36hr which means I'm essentially home free again. I'll go get some LISS in now, head home chill with wife and go to sleep. Wake up and another 36hrs in the book.

I truly feel like 72hrs would just not be that hard for me if not for social obligations. That's the hardest part, schedule juggling.

Deads are going strong!! My gym's would kill me if I tried to use bumpers for elevate deads. Wish I could since it seems like overall would be more effective in some ways then rack pulls.

Survived 45 minutes of fasted LISS without headphones

We only have like two oly lifters including me at the gym, and not many good implements, the barbells and bumpers are very very low end stuff. I've tried to talk to them about ideas to maintain the barbells or add micro plates etc and for the most part.... Big box gym, they just don't seem to care.

You are 100% correct on the pine needles and acidic soil. The only thing that would grow in that soil is Azaleas. They love acid. Grass HATES acid!

I can barely get through a workout with PWO in me without my air pods!

I used to get very frustrated if I don't have my headphones but if a lifting session I don't really need them at all. Just too focused to need them, more like an added bonus. However, during cardio... yeah that is a biatch!!!! I need, well, at least prefer some sort of distraction, or I get into my own head about how much longer I have. I can make myself do it but it becomes a miserable task.

Deads

That was about all I had, the 10 x 3 left me a sweaty, slobbery mess.

Dude came up to me and said they're gonna start charging me for three memberships if I have to use that much weight lol

Weight 192 this morning.
All in all not bad for breaking a 36hr fast this morning.

I don't recall my lats ever being this sore before.

watched episode 1 of Arnold last night. I can't stop thinking about him aiming for 20 sets on each movement.

Worked up to about the full stack.

Notes
This band setup to the dbs feels like double the resistance. Much much more challenging. In theory +100-120lbs although that seems a bit generous.

Never tried 205+ with CGBP I don't think, so those are new numbers

Carbed up, preWo, all my supps on A game but I had to really fight to find the pump today. I have another bottle of phosphatidic acid XT on order with Steve, I want to see if that brings back the insta pump or if it was the epiandroLean I also finished recently.

Still super fun volume day. I feel like the anabolic XT hits me like old school jack3d. Once I start going I don't really want to stop lifting.

For the sake of accurate logging I'm going to consider my starting weight on anabolic XT and anabolic effect this past Sunday to be about 193/194.

I was 197 when I got home from the boys fishing trip, but we all know how that is.

Had one 36hr fast Wednesday.
Woke up Saturday about 192.5.

I do feel stronger, and super focused/motivated on this stack. Only thing that's lacking is the pump.

On volume efforts, I'm trying very hard to get more sets in (yesterday, 20 sets on biceps). Seems excessive but I want to see what happens. Arms are stubborn so let's throw the kitchen sink at them.

23hrs of the day I am not sure I notice AXT. But that 1-2hrs in the gym the workout is somehow different (like jack3d was).

Finished off my alpha gel this morning. Only had one pump left so added a couple pumps of sustain alpha since that is almost finished as well.

Looking forward to bringing phosphatidic XT back in and seeing if that changes my pump/fullness again.

That’s how AXT was for me. It’s not something you really notice, but I did have plenty of good training on it, same as others have noticed.

I am pretty much the opposite. I notice a ton of effects on vitality, energy, vascularity, and mood outside of the gym. It ramps up in the gym too, but I honestly take it a lot for what I notice day to day.

Do you use testosterone? I used it with a TRT dose, 150/wk I believe. So that was already a stable base of those qualities for me.

Vitality is a good description. I feel more focused (although I did throw in the sabroxy) and if there was one thing, I think what I'm sensing is additional endurance since a long session is feeling as strong in the end as it is in the beginning.

Deads
6 x 225, 275, 315
3 x 345, 375, 405, 435 (reps PR)

EZ bar curls
10 x 10 x 50lb
E2MOTM

DB rows
3 x 10

Seated db curls

Notes
Hooked up with a pair of randos on the platform so it left me doing triples where I intended to do singles for the sake of efficiency. But at the end of the day topped out where I had hoped. Was gassed by the time I got to RDLs though.

Got some extra light weight work in, DB RDLs etc waiting for a leg press or rack but ran out of time.

Prior best triple was 425.

Congrats on the dead PR!! Some serious volume you are doing
Thank you!
I know the upper accessory volume is high but I feel like I'll recover from it so far. And I've tried everything else to get these arms to grow so may as well try something new

Found the pump today.

Workouts are looking solid!!! You numbers are up there and staying up there it seems and not fading back. Think you finally found your sweet spot as far as training and some big numbers are coming by the end of the year. 500lb dead is in the bag

Thank you!
Specificity seems to be helping a lot (along with adding 10-15lbs bodyweight and a LOT less conditioning )

Way to keep crushing it, congrats on that PR! Motivational Sir!

Either lost or forgot my belt in my closet somehow.... Was ready to go ham on my pulls till I got to the gym and couldn't find it.

So I decided to stay the course, warm up more, make less jumps, and call it good if at any point I felt at risk.

Unfortunately I feel like today was a 520# day with the belt. Next time.

Adapted and adjusted to alternative methods of going apeshit.

Haha yeah I go through cycles. Watched straight outta Compton again the other day and have been on and old school kick.

Got home, checked my closet. No lifting belt. This is actually a real bummer for me I've been breaking that thing in since before COVID. Maybe 2017-2018 ish. I'm gonna be really bummed to have to replace it. Plus ****, they ain't cheap lol

What belt did you have prior?

Yeah, losing an Inzer Foreverbelt is a shame
I was heartbroken enough to do the walk of shame to the lost and found box at the gym.

If I left it there and someone stole it, I'm glad. Means someone knew it's worth opposed to the shitty ones I found in lost and found

Yeah, but it still sucks... First thing i do on a new belt is write my initials on it in big squared off letters with a sharpie. The people know they either need to turn it in or never wear it back to that gym anyway. I had one get taken once, and saw a guy with it like a month later, and almost had to fight him to get it back. When I got it back I wrote my initials on it and have done so with every semi-expensive fitness thing I take to the gym now. I also remember losing a manta-ray barbell squat attachment once but I scratched my initials into it and found a guy using it a while later and just walked up and took it off his bar. he started to get belligerent until I showed him my initials, then it was "Hey Man, I am sorry I just found it..."
