Time to get a little Freeeeeaky With FinaFLEX!

What are your major goals here, all of these supersets and drop sets are great but are you trying to cut? If not cut out some of the super sets, other than arms. You are minimizing growth using supersets as your main mode of work. They are great for getting in a lot of volume but if you want to grow thicker muscles you need to concentrate a bit more on the good mix of strength and volume. YOu can go hard for 2 hours doing a lot of volume that feels really intense but in reality is more of a metabolic weight training session. Slow your self down a bit concentrate on giving that one exercise all you got, then move to the next one. Supersets are a great principle but more for pumping. Drop sets are amazing if done in moderation and with moderate volume. Rest Pauses are even better when trying to build thicker muscle fibers so when you start training for the pump again you have more fiber to fill up.

Just making some suggestions because you are working really hard but if you are looking for more size lifting "heavy" in the 6-12 rep range on the basics should be your meat and potatoes. Using the other principles as techniques to enhance your training, not be the basis of it. When you want to use regular drop sets, or rest pause sets you need to lower your volume a bit more to allow for the recovery that these extra intense factors add to the exercise. You don't have to follow a specific routing and or rep scheme but keep some of the basics, well basic and grow grow grow.

Now if you are trying to lean up some and get great pumps then by all means keep crushing those supersets all the time every set. If trying to stretch the fascia a bit same thing but know why you are doing what you are doing not just that it feels awesome to work hard. If you know this already then hopefully someone else will read it and gain from it.

I'm just experimenting to be honest. I've seen good growth from it in the past but Kleen if you want to help me set up something different I'm open to anything .

I've mixed power and higher reps
Power by itself
Volume by itself
Super sets
Drop sets
Etc
Is what I've tried

I usually always work my way to 2 heavy sets as well. For example doing flat db bench I work my way to a set where I can do 6 reps then 4 reps then back up the pyramid.

alrighty so hitting chest today, decided to get rid of some of the super sets and this is what i shall be doing . Also i am going to start tracking weight/reps/sets/ again but still with an "unchained" mindset.

Chest:
DB Bench (Rep scheme 15 (Warmup) 12, 8, 6 ,6 ,6 )
DB Incline Bench 10,8,6,6
Weighted Dips 3xbodyweight as many as possible (or adding a 25 on my belt if i can handle it)
Cable Flys ( only super set of the group)
Cables placed at bottom
Cables placed at top
Rep scheme (4x12)

Lets get it done. My chest is something that I want to see grow, it has been stubborn in the past. But as Kleen said, slamming it with heavy weight, not super sets, should do the trick. Thanks Buddy :D

I was also looking at my weak points and seeing where I could train them working them into my split wihout doing "weak point training" after im done with whatever body part i was doing or that day. So I may incorporate: chest/biceps back/traps legs shoulders/triceps arms/calves . It allows me to blast my weak points twice a week , every week.

I typicaly do the same thing with my weak points or ill set a specific day for weakpoint training. Really has helped to bring up the lagging body parts on me.

I find just adding them into my.split giving them priority twice a week works well. I did chest/biceps today.

Also tools Kleens advice, dropped the super sets and started pushing heavy weight between 6-12 rep range. Doing multiple sets in the 6 rep range. It felt food. Feels better than all those super sets.

Going to do the same for back and shoulders. I find my back works well with just a brutal beating with low rep lifts.

What's in a name......:)

Haha yesssir!

Woke up and my chest feels rock solid. I feel like I can walk through walls using my chest haha. Recovery is up , the daa and PCT rev is in full effect.

Slamming back today, LETS ****ING GOOOOOOOO FELLASSSS

on a side note... anyone else put bcaas in a gallon jug and zip it throughout your workout/day?

Recovery up, libido and aggression up, yeeaaaa buddyyy!!

yeah that's a pretty dated idea - not critiquing by any means, simply saying the idea goes back ~ a decade or so when the Scivation guys said they were all doing that :D
myself, I use at what I feel are opportune timeframes, those being:
periWO
before bed
upon waking
other than that, all my nutritional needs are met from foods spaced evenly thruout the day, 6 meals/day currently

I'm with Snags on this one. I like using our bcaa+saa intra workout for hydration and the taurine though.

That's what I meant using bcaa intra but just in a gallon jug. By no means am I carrying it around all day Lol. But this shirt was light grey before my lift...

oh..lulz
there was a whole "movement" at one time (mostly by the younger guys), who were toting around gallon jugs of colored water with like Xtend or whatever, based on what the scivation guys were saying..like it was a badge of honor or something, or made them "intuitive" because they practiced this
:p
intraWO is perfect time to consume, peri (pre/intra/post) in general, good at any of them, depending on your plan of attack and nutritional endeavors/timing..following as I stated, would be @bed and @waking
boom - you take care of those, eat right thru day, no sense in doing anything further - that is actually nice bases to covered in structured plan of attack

That seems like such a hassle. Carrying a huge jug of water around all day and bringing it wherever you go Lol.

That's what I've been doing snag, intra and I'll start taking some before bed. Thanks for the tip snag.

My back/traps lift consisted of:

Db rows
Behind neck wide grip pull ups
Cable low rows
Stiff arm lat pull down (not sure what to call these)
Pullovers
Dead lifts
Bb shrugs

I usually mix BCAA + a Carb source (Gatorade usually) in a gallon jug and use it peri workout. Whatever I don't drink I use the next day.

I never thought of doing that, do you buy the Gatorade powder or just a jug of Gatorade ?

Sam's Club was where I got it.

I'm sure Costco and other similar places carry it as well.

Or, if you know someone who works in an athletic department, or in the military supply chain, you may be able to get it for free-ninety-nine.

Ohhh snapp!! I crushed legs last night, one of the best workouts ive had in a very long time. Tonight its chest!

I miss those days:(

Good old days, when everybody in the gym was like...wtf.....look at his legs.

Damn knee

Nice work sweating that shirt up!

BCAAs are great throughout, using carbs early on in your training limits GH release caused by the workout. Better to add them in towards the end of the workout so your body has time to react to the workout with a pulse of GH. A good 30 minutes in is plenty.

I've heard good thing about max pump, I still have my slinsane though :P.

I was surprised I sweat that much, without a thermo as well. I was kicking some serious ass yesterday and today!

Indeed, legs are my favorite lift it went something like this (very simple)

Squats
Rdl
Leg ext
Leg curl
ALOT of calf work

Edje what happened to your knee? Acl?

Too much stress on the knee during construction work on my house. Something is wrong, specialist don't even really know. Something with a muscle pulling on my lateral meniscus( which I thonk is BS)

Sucks....been going on for 2 years+

seen a lot of specialist, mri scan etc etc etc :(

My bad then. I thought it was...could've sworn I saw people eating it with carbs.

Well Jim, coming down from caffeine + lifting legs I'm feelings little woosy. Could've sworn I saw a few underpants gnomes skittering across my floor as well o_O

Edit: ahh anabolic pump is what I was thinking of.

That sucks dude. That's the worst when they can't find the issue. I'm scared I'm going to have bad knees. My mom and grandmother have horrible knee problems, really hope I don't end up like that.

man you need to get clued in :trout:
this baby is simply one of the best creations of the last couple yrs, if not longer -- and, it's only a single unique ingredient!
there is no other formulation like ours on the market, if I am not mistaken

where you could have confused the idea with GDA possibly, is TMGs ability to increase protein synthesis with continued use - making it extremely beneficial to body comp over the long haul
ppl can take with carb meals..non-carb meals..empty stomach..combined in preWO mix..or even just solely if desired - all to great benefit
check it out ;)

I just confused the names haha I've hears of nitrates but never really jumped on that band wagon. I kind of want to try some now, I hear the vascularity and pump is INSANE.

My knees are jacked up and I'm only in my 20's

Max pump is so much more than a pump product though, it's very comprehensive. It's an all over performance product increasing power and stamina in the gym.

Amrs todays fellas, was going to be shoudlers/triceps but i dont want to tire my shoulders out for paintball tomorrow, did that last week and could barley hold up my marker :P. So once again, im focusing less on super sets and more on heavier weight, 6-10 reps, giving it my all. However, im glad i found that supersets do really chisel you, when i cut again (in about 8 months lol) thats the approach ill take. But for now, time to see if i can rip skin from an insane amount of pump!

ARMS BABBBY!

Also on a side note, i woke up this morning and my legsand lower back were NOT sore , this is a first , especially after a legs day . So im assuming the pct rev/pure test are aiding in that. I also bought a foam roller and have been massaging my lower back every morning (Feels great btw). Anyway, to much talking TIME TO HIT THE GYM!

Adding in 15 minutes of sprints with minimal rest every other day and hitting the heavy bag as well. Just did that for the first time today, it felt amazing. Will be adding that in to my sprinting sessions as well.
