Time to CONQU3R with Olympus Labs!

On that Conqu3r, broheim!

Actually, think strength has come up some because I've been off for so long - 3.5 months at least since any peds. Now that I'm through the valley of the shadow of death, i.e. PCT, & been out of that so long, my body has fully recovered & I've been training at optimum off-cycle ability for about a month I suspect - the amount of time it's taken to really start to see any new numbers at all.

Also helps that I've been diligent to keep training very focused since last cycle (all my previous meet prep as was my PCT) & when I got colitis was the only week I wasn't training since then.

Current supps are:

Multi, fish oil, Animal Flex, bcaas/protein, d3 & b complex as well as introducing 20mg Ostarine, Nolva at night on feel of nips, some razz ketones about the time I started Conqu3r. I was told this was fine, as Osta has zero bearing on my performance - just wanted to try to push a bit of a recomp w/ diet leading up to this float trip coming up, & I'll ride the Osta til I get back on cycle (about a month from now).

Ostarine is great for the dieter who doesn't need the performance gains or want all the sides of gear (besides suppression & gyno issues, of course).
 
Day 16

Off day

Relaxing, gotta get up early for a half day at work. Afternoon Dynamic lowerbody, & going to some MMA fights later on I believe tmrw!
 
Oooooh, almost forgot to mention: bought a sweet used Inzer Hardcore single-ply squat suit from Sean1332 last wk (or I should say, my gf did for my bday). Anyway, after a failed attempt to get in it, I asked my dad for pair of suit slip-ons from Titan for my bday. After less than 10 min of huffing & puffing & squatting & hip-shakin', I was in & had the straps up (tried it on at home to see what I was working with).

Holy Thigh-Constriction, Batman! It was fairly comfy, except the trim that goes around the thighs is mercilessly tight (as evidenced by how ludicrously difficult it is to get into a squat suit). Looked like my legs were giant fat sausages stuck inside rings 5 sizes too small. Only kept it on for 5 min or so, but it hurt the whole time. Couldn't sit down on my bed w/ the straps up. You have to work hard just to get down to parallel w/ no weight on your back, & when I extended my hips to come up I literally shot off the floor every bodyweight squat. Badass. Even though I'll prob only use it w/ the straps down for occasional overload, it's pretty cool. Def gonna max in it for fun. Bet it will put 50lbs on my squat right away w/ how tight that thing is (doesn't count, but it's fun!).

At lunch today told this guy who used to compete in single-ply that there's only 2 types of people in this world: people who have gotten into a suit, & those that haven't, because nobody would go through that kind of battle unless they're dead serious. He looked at me and says, "That's because the 2 types of people are winners and losers. You have to want it." Profound.
 
That's crazy but exciting about the suit!! Can't wait till you try it under the bar!
 
that suit should put at least 50# on your squat...uncomfortable is right :D

That's what I'm thinking - I felt like a human trampoline in it. I'm gonna go HAM soon & max w/ straps up, but I only bought it to train straps down occasionally for some overload. Straps up isn't really gonna have much carryover; way too much pop at that point. Straps down is much weaker.

I'm sore still from wednesday & knee is being a baby today, but I'm scheduled to speedsquat today. If not, might try pulling in the suit straps down, like using a mean pair of briefs. Sumo would have better carryover but who knows.

Guess it's time to hit the gym & see what I end up doing!

Lower back is tight & left knee has been rough all morning, but more relevant: my hams are just flat out still sore. Also realized that since I'm more or less following a Westside protocol w/ 5x5 on ME bench days first, I should try to train on their sched, & I'm not due yet anyway so I feel a bit better about it.

I wanna crush it, so I'm going tomorrow afternoon, after smashing what will be a truly epic brunch at the Ameristar Casino buffet. Multiple meals of multiple course will be had, likely over multiple hours. Then the gf gets back from her trip, & I have to pretend I had a lousy day since she'll have one on a greyhound bus lol.
 
Waiting sounds like a smart idea! Gotta listen to your body obviously screaming at you! ;) Enjoy the endless food! I lol'd about you pretending for your gf!
 
I hate when I have an outstanding day, and my wife will have had a bad day so, I can't be all excited and tell her about it because she's in a crappy mood lol

oh I agree. I do it out of respect for her, not to hide it. I let her voice her day and any complaints, fusses and anything that happened that day, she just needs to vent and I need to listen, that'll make her day better. Besides, if she asks me about my day I'll tell her and 99.6235% of she's stoked for me too!

Went to some amateur MMA fights in St. Charles tonight - THREE of the ten fights were ended in the first round do to serious injury. First guy's knee blew out as soon as he got taken down. Next guy right after got pushed into the fence in the first 15 sec & his foot slid under the fence somehow & broke his ankle. Last guy got picked up, wrestling style, & thrown down on the ground, dislocating his shoulder on impact.

Btw drank a serving of Conqu3r omw to the fights since I worked this morning on far too little sleep. Boy was I amped for that!
 
Day 18

All squats were touch-n-go to a box 2" below parallel at least, w/ 30-40 second rests. All pulls were from the floor, & only the snatch-grip was touch-n-go. Brutal session; tank was SOAKED afterward & absolutely gassed.

Deadlift felt sooo heavy, but I suppose the 255-355lb low box squats for 22 reps & low rest fatigued me pretty good. Wanted over 5 on 405 & at least 5 on 445, but just flatout too tired.

Kept telling myself in my head when it felt heavy, "F*ck you, pull harder!!!" :aargh:
 
Btw about went into a food coma this morning at the casino buffet for brunch. It was soooooo EPIC. Killer meal, must have slayed at least 4k calories I bet. I was full for like 6 hours after.

Fun fact, that MMA chick I was screwing around with last year....giant posters hanging all over of her for an upcoming fight she's headlining this month. Told my buddies, you see that chick on the banners? Seen more of her than you ever will lol

First time using the Slingshot, so I had some fun w/ it & worked up through a 1RM on it just to gauge its strength - this thing feels like it's worth a solid 35-40lbs, no joke. Super easy to get in & out of too, unlike a bench shirt. First time I've had 300 in my hands in a long time, since M1T. From here out I'll be using it more for heavy rep sets that have more carryover. Wonder how many reps I can get on 275??

If you're not already familiar with the SS, let me describe it to you. It's essentially a wide, stout rubber band that wraps around your arms and, once stretched over your ribcage at the bottom of a bench press, allows elastic energy to assist with the upward motion to an overloaded lockout. The greatest help is out of the hole, and the assistance curve approaches zero at the top of the movement. This means you get a lot more work holding and locking out your bench with heavy weight, with a nice help bouncing it out of the hole. This effect is similar to a bench shirt or a reverse-banded-bench, but much, much easier to setup and perform. Since most benchers are limited by tricep strength and confidence with heavy weights, this can be hugely beneficial. Better put: The SS allows you to throw around 10 pounds over your raw 1RM for sets of 5 or 6 like it's nothing.

Thanks, Ken! Exactly - lets you overload the lift. Singles like I did are much less useful for a raw lifter (like me) than sets of 2-7 really, I was just testing it out - feels like superstrength!


What's wrong w/ that - also felt like superstrength!! Zero increase in recovery, lots of bloat even w/ lots of AI, & def made me more aggressive, lethargy/easily worn....but I could flat out bend a barbell. They should call it Essence of Silverback.

Maybe ill scoop a slingshot to help me get over the wall I've got if I don't blow it out of the water after I finish my first 10 weeks.

They claim the slingshot is great for the shoulders because it really keeps the form tight - much harder to wander/flair under the bar. But I'd trust your program for now & give it all you're worth.

Well, I think it's counter-productive to the big picture of the cube, in relationship to the way he sets up the other programming. That being said, Lilly has an entire template laid out in that book I gave you as a sample for a shirted bencher. But that's about useless for a raw competitor. It'd be fun off-season work, in my opinion. Pick up a used shirt from someone & play around for a couple months.

True. But it'd be nice to go like 120% on a heavy bench day and get used to that kinda weight. That's my thoughts on it.

Single-ply - nice used Inzer Hardcore I got for half-price from Sean1332 to play around w/. He can't fit in it anymore, 212 or so is the cap he said. Woke up at 208 this morning so I need to be careful myself!

lol...yeah okay, all in the eye of the beholder I guess
not a fan of that stuff myself, horribly toxic - BP thru the roof, strength may have been up but I couldn't tell because my back was too damn pumped to be able to lift anything worth a crap...tennis was out of the question because my calves were too pumped as well (think killer and disabling shin sprints here)...lethargy so fierce I never wanted to move off the couch....and the goddam bloat!!!!!!

207.0 this morning - looking a bit fluffy, but 10lbs up from before the meet that was after my sickness. Been training hard & diet has been decent, albeit very performance-oriented. I've gained 4lbs since I got on Ostarine 3 wks ago; can't believe it almost because I didn't gain more than maybe 1lb last time on same dose & judging by the mirror all 4lbs are solid LBM, no joke. The difference, I think, is that last time I used was 3-4wks after a cycle where this time it's been 3 months off so receptors are primed. And diet has been better tuned too.

It did put some lasting LBM on my frame after the bloat fell off, but I don't really think it's the best option for a bbuilder looking for a solid oral. Perhaps 5mg preWO for a month stacked w/ something milder to cut a lot of the bloat & sides down, but why not just use sdrol/dmz for the same purposes?

The fact that it's so darn androgenic does make it really good for aggression, & the bloat is really useful if you've got room to fill out a weightclass to get the most inertia possible under the bar. But I think it's more of a powerlifting drug only, really. Results show up FAST, & gone just as quick after the meet.

I think that the more you learn to work the gear obviously, the better effect you'll get from it, but after tonight I don't think you get as much as everybody seems to make out, at least not from single-ply (& I don't use knee wraps ever). My last squat at 465 was actually considerably better than the preceding 445 - I think I sat back into it better, kept upright better, & pushed harder coming out of the hole.

Been w/ the gf officially for 1 year as of today, so we're going out tomorrow evening to celebrate. Might do some accessory work saturday to augment tonight's work, & will for sure have dynamic lower on sunday.

I still have AT LEAST half a tub of Conqu3r! :head:
