its funny you say that as I know my form is not wonderful, but the damagbe to the rhomboid almost becomes too much of a setback. I agree it is probably the best overall ecercise for back, but I have been reading that heavy rows, be it bb rows, tbar etc.. can give similar resultsMan, I'm sorry to hear that ! It took quite a while for me to get the form right. But to be fair, my form wasn't good until I built some solid back mass from exercises other than deads, and powered up my lumbar region real good. Before, I just to use my back ONLY, almost stiff-legged. And my back would be aching for days, and it'd look like my body was about to break in half when doing heavy deads back in the day .. With form came 'comfort' and no more pain . .
