I want to hear from ALL of you what your opinion is on what is the best design for a gym bag, feel free to post pictures as well.

I know there are people with some great ideas and I want to hear from YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!

My idea of a great gym bag is one that I can fit all of these into:
Straps
Belt
Sparring Gloves
MMA Gloves
Hand Wraps
Shin Guards
My phone
Small Supplement bottles
~1 qt container

Padded shoulder strap and a wide open middle with velcro adjustable dividers. Retangular design with reinforced zipper pouches on the oustide and top that are also somewhat padded. Holes at the bottom of the pouches and a couple inside the middle area for accidental spills. Weather proof inside and out for spills etc. Small plastic coated slot on top/outer area for name tag.

enough compartments to separate "wet" and "dry"

and fit the necessities - straps, wraps, waterbottles, sweatbands, log, jumprope.

i like having two different bags - one just a "cinch sack", the other a duffel - cause somedays you just need a little more, or a little less.

I dont think ive ever seen one with dividers in it. And why do you need a name tag, you in school little boy :p

This might help - you might want go to a good sporting goods store/camping store and take a look at the way some of the larger day-pack and overnight backpacks are built. The have a lot of compartments that would help.

Oh, and forget the name tag, but throw in some of your pictures.

Pictures for what ? Jayhawkk sends me plently weekly :D

lmao, dividers are in my current bag for changing around the compartments depending on what i'm carrying. Name tag is good in case you forget it some place :)

Best gym bag I ever had was a $15 brown bomber leather bag I got at COSTCO about 8 years ago.

I always use a backpack to carry my stuff in. I have a few "gym" bags here I have never used. I walk from work to my gym wich is 5mins away and like to have everything on my back. Only thing I could see improve it would separate outside compartments. One for small stuff like keys and lock. One for post workout shake etc...

separate wet + dry sections would be nice, a few smaller zippered compartments to hold small items (those single drink mixes, etc). I've had laptop bags and others with adjustable dividers like jay mentioned, that could be nice.

Padded shoulder strap. Some compartments inside to hold various powders and or containers. Would also be nice if it had an insulated shaker bottle holder to keep whatever shake or liquid you have cold.

Maybe even a removable ice pack thing ?? that seems cool cuz in the summer after training im sure it would be warm.

I'm not to fond of over-sized gym bags... A nice sleak sling-bag with enough room for my MP3, face towel, water bottle, protein bottle and of course - ALL MY FAVORITE AX GEAR! Now that would suffice greatly!

I prefer racquetball/tennis bags of varying sizes. One, they have a compartment specifically for my racquets. They tend to be large enough to carry everything I need and have a wet compartment, usually with netting to allow air flow.

But the thing that annoys me the most about all bags I've had is the material usually isn't that durable, especially the zippers. They go south in a year or so usually. Like dsade, the best bag I've ever had was a leather bag designed for military use. Don't know what it was specifically, but the thing lasted from grade school through college before it went south, and that was just one zipper. I still have it, still use it for carry-on when I go traveling.

yea definitely some water proof pockets, smaller pockets for keys and cellphone, padded strap, some good thick stiching so it will last some years

have you seen my supplement stash? I NEED somethign to carry it and all my gym stuff, too!

If you want something for oyur supplements, this is what I use:

I fit a weeks worth of supplements in it and just throw it into my laptop case, gym bag, cooler or whatever and it's ridiculously convenient.

best gym bag? I spent $19 on one at target. Can hold me straps, wrist support, belt and running shoes. Works for me

I don't take a lot to the gym.. towel, wallet, mp3, keys and a drink, so I just use a drawstring bag

A small one works for me, I don't feel the need to carry my house with me to the gym.. something like this would be fine, maybe a separate small compartment for valuables. :)
