Lexus SC300 5-speed... was turbocharged with a 60-1, would outrun M5s :)
Sold the turbokit when I hit some financial problems and needed cash, and I bought a cheap daily...
A 92 Nissan 240sx... but now on my feet again and am selling the 240sx and doing a motor swap on the SC300...

Should make around 400hp after I'm done with the basics... and way way more than that later on when I remove the twinturbos and put on a single...

Oh, and I will NEVER own a BMW. I don't see why someone needs to spend that much cash on a pile of garbage :) Great chassis, great motor... bad electronics, bad overall design, hideous looks as far as the new ones go... I'll always have a Lexus :)
I'm a BMW hater and a BMW killer (well was a killer, will be again soon lol)... ROFL
Maybe I just hate cars that arent reliable... yeah thats it!

97 Eclipse GST - 463whp - FP3065 :smite: - for those that don't know what that is it's a decent turbo (fp3065)

 killer turbo... How do you control it in a front wheeldrive car? I drove a 300whp GST and it had torque-steer out the whazoo... I cant imagine it getting worse...

I used to own a 92 Talon TSI AWD... fun car :)

Gettin' expensive, ain't it?

Hell, gas around here is almost $2.70/gallon for the regular!!!
last week in toronto gas was $0.91 CDN per liter for regular...over $1.00/liter for supreme.

multipy that by the USD conversion and the liter to gallon conversion...you get:

$4.30 USD per gallon

I roll in a chrome silver 2003 Nissan Maxima SE. Modifications include KYB struts, H&R Springs, front strut bar, rear sway bar, and cold air intake. For tunes I run a pioneer premier headunit, 2 Phoenix Gold amps, 2 12 inch Phoenix Gold subs, and MB Quart components.

Hey Pfunk47, nice to see a DSM'er around! Especially another FWD'er!! What kind of FMIC are you running? I can't see one in the pic...just wondering the dimensions

I have a ol' 91 TSI, just rebuilt the motor actually, waiting to rebuild the Holset HX-35 turbo and throw that in again!

Re: traction, I have one of those LSD inserts i got from SBR, and a dual setting boost controller, to help combat it being a FWD. But its nice not having all the trans issues of the AWD no? haha

I have a 2003 srt-4 i love going 120mph on the highway, never tried top speed yet. My turbo charged baby is sweet.

yeah man, i know it well. bought it when i first got back from iraq with all that saved up war money. wish i had gotten a geo metro 3-cylinder now.

I'm just cheap, and saving money for a house. Better investment.
(Can't you tell I'm an engineer?)

actually, $.91 CDN x3.8L= $3.45 CDN/gallon, which is like $2 something USD right?
i bow my head in shame to my bad simple math skills...lol

youre right...its $0.91 x 3.8L x $0.80 USD:CDN = $2.76 USD

I paid $42 to fill up my Explorer today :(

I have a 97 Ford Explorer and an 01 Stratus R/T. Nothin fancy :(. Atleast I dont have a minvan LOL

With the current gas prices I am really happy I purchased the Mini Cooper. I drive about 450 miles per week and I drop about $25bucks in the tank weekly.

This is not a photo of mine, but mine is exactly the same:

I have to borrow a digicam to get a photo of mine if that is necessary before I claim my 10lb bag of protein;)

You would think so from the outside, but I work with a guy who is 6'7" and he had no problem driving it. My mom has a Lexus, and there is as much headroom in my Mini as there is in her Lexus

with a quaife and poly busnings all around, doesn't get rid of torque steer but it keeps it in a straight line and helps a ton, feels much safer with quaife on the highway doing 80 dropping it to third and breaking the tires loose, dont' feel like I am going to smash a guard rail, not yet at least.

sorry didnt' see this reply, running the dejontool front mount 28"wide x 10.5"hi x 3"thk - not in that pic, that pic is from Sept when it still had the stock turbo - built block and dynoed in jan - might swith to a spearco water to air then it's stealth and you see no intercooler, allows me to run almost 40lbs of boost but for $2500 not anytime soon - plus that would be more useful in my 92 Awd talon.

Or how about a 99 Navigator? Only has 40000 miles and is in mint condition. 15 miles to the gallon. Anyone? LOL! Gas prices need to drop, like soon.

I want my Civic back. :(

my m3 only gets 16-17 around town, might help if i didn't have to wind it out every time :)

since this has become a car talk thread, anyone here auto-x, track, or drag their car?

Here's a car I'm building up for CP (autocrossing). It'll also be good for AI or AIX (road racing). Unfortunely, I've no better pics of it than this right now. Hopefully will be running in a few more weekends. I'm currently finishing up a 408w swap in the truck I posted above.

Damn...and to think I "used" to think gas was expensive in Canada....

I live in Ireland and after doing the conversions we pay approx. 4.68 US dollars per gallon for petrol (gas as ye call it) so I say quit complaining. The government takes half of what we pay for motor fuel

The difference in IReland is that fuel efficiency is so much better in standard vehicles. The prices are crazy, but once you factor in fuel consumption they are probably pretty close.

BTW, what part of Ireland are you from?

'92 Chevy Blazer/Tahoe (small); back then it was a Tahoe model mini-Blazer. Now, of course, the Tahoe is a Monster SUV. I'm over 190,000 miles with a 100 mile round-trip commute to one of my jobs 3 times per week. Car has some Karma, for sure...

Lots of nice cars in this thread, and then sïme like mine... 94 Integra RS 5sp with 170,000mi. Paid $3k for it a couple of years ago. I drive 40-50 miles a day, and wanted something economical and HAD to get something cheap, but somewhat sporty. More fun than I thought it would be, and I§m kind of stuck with it until my wife gets off her ass and gets an accounting job (she's been a housewife/mom for 7 years!)

True but I didn't buy it new. I'm not paying 60k for a new one.

Yea. But I did. Wanted to be the first one on the block with an H2. Ordered it in July of 02, got it in September of 02 (the first release of the 2003 version), rolled it in December of 02, got it back in May of 03. By then, everyone had an H2 and the novelty was gone.

Can I win for being the biggest moron?

Picture of license plate after I rolled it.

I hear you bro. My mom is from Galway and my dad is from Donegal. I love Ireland, but I'm a narrowback myself (though my back is no longer narrow).

what no (domestic) muscle cars? I have a 1969 camaro w/ a 400 smallblock bored 40 over (which makes it about a 413?).

but, i didn't want to take it to college (too many idiots!), so i bought a 97 monte carlo. but i still have the camaro and drive it on occasion.
i'll have to get my mommy to email me some pics.

I've got the dorkiest car here. '97 Mazda Protege. I've lost one of the cheap plastic rims. The paint is peeling off the front. It's decked out w/ Canes stuff, featuring prominantely a 2001 National Champs bumpersticker.

AND a college of engineering window-cling in the back window. Beat that. My best friend, a high school biology teacher, makes half of what I make and drives an '04 Nissan.

I'm not complaining about the gas prices, I get a discount. :D Costs me about a buck-90 for 87 octane at a local station.

all you have to do is play football for the school who's avatar your sporting and i am sure they will hook you up with a nicer one HAHAHA :icon_lol: j/k

See, Bow. You should have gone for the '84 convertible Chrysler Le Baron, with the simulated wood paneling on the sides.

H2....

Okay - I cannot win - but I have to tell you about my car (recently deceased). I had the best car EVER!!!! It was silver, two seater, sob sob, 1983 Madza RX7.......may she rest in peace at 214,000 of the best miles ever.......I am too choked up to talk now.

Would you consider a 00 RT/10 Viper a US muscle car cause that is MY ride.

BTW I was just thinking the last time I saw a post like this before Bobo owned the board.

Back in the day I was banned I said I owned a Viper and Yellow Jacket said I was full of **** I posted a pic and told him to **** himself.

Then he told Chemo the real reason I was banned was because I asked for a source BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Chemo was smart enough to see he was just being a dick and unbanned me

Sometimes Karma works REALLY nice for ya. :hammer:
