Anybody elses mother/father in law drive them absolutely nuts?! So I just moved in with my future wife about 2 months ago. It turns out that I basically live with her parents as well. About 5-6 times a week on average i will be laying on the couch watching my favorite tv show, relaxing from a hard days work, and all of a sudden the front door will burst open, with my fiances parents, no knock, no call, no invitation.... They will walk in, interupt my relaxation time, turn the tv on on me sometimes, or just sit around and talk really loud when I am trying to watch tv. Sometimes they will even come in at dinner time and her dad will take my last piece of pizza, or food I was saving for my cheat day..... it just drives me nuts....I talked to my fiance about it, and she doesn't like it either, but doesn't have the heart to tell them not to come over uninvited...... Anyway, I am starting to get fed up and was wondering if anybody else has any stories to tell, I am hoping I am not alone in this one... or actually yeah, i guess i don't wish this upon anybody else..

lock the door....change the locks if they have a key. Also bring it up to them yourself before it starts to hurt relationships.

Worse case scenario, start going over to their house every day uninvited and raid their fridge....they will get the point...

You are the "man" of the family. So put your foot down.

Other tricks. Find a smell they HATE, especially her mother. Then her mother will nag the crap out of her father not to come over all the time.

For some reason I feel like your life seems to be an episode from "Everybody loves Raymond".

In all honesty, I am getting divorced presently, and a major issue was her family specifically her father. I could tell you stories that would make your head spin. The true test is, whether or not your future wife will stand up for you. If she doesnt do it now, she never will. Keep that in mind. Mine didnt, and now we have fighting for custody.
 
wait for a time when they might be coming over and if u hear the door open and u think its them BLARE some hardcore porn sounds... they will go running away.. im sure at the very least they will knock next time
 
If my in-laws ever tried something like this it would have been the first and last time they ever did it. I'm lucky in that i get along really well with my in-laws, but i have buddies that don't fair so well. I encourage you to talk to your future wife about this first and express your concerns. If she doesn't see this as an issue, then you really have a bigger problem than you originally thought. What makes this even more bizarre is the fact you're not even married to their daughter yet and they're acting like this...
 
ive had the same damn prob man... theyre always driving me nuts! i think the prob with in-laws is that their supposed to feel like partly your folks too but their always the complete opposite and annoiying as hell!

serious bro, grab a can of some kinda nasty smelling air freshner from the dollar store, every time they come over spray about half the can around the house, until its gagging. When they complain, tell them you like it, and its your house.

After about 2-3 cans, and a week of suffering, they will be gone save for an occasional visit.
 
Buy a parrot and teach it to curse/talk crap at them, that would drive me insane let alone the in-laws!
