Thanks, Chris...You read the WHOLE thing? That would have been SOME mission (and you will note that I am not as detailed as I was when I first started logging)...Hopefully it helps in re information re effects, etc. of the different supplements that I use and have used.

0730 - Boxing 30 mins.


Focus and Motivation: Very focused while I was still on a sugar high, LOL...Motivation came later in the day, when I got a HUGE reality check :( (no more denial time now)...

Mental Performance: Alert and focused since woke up (slept ~1600-2351 last 'night'). Had a bit of a crash coming down off my sugar high mid-morining, picking right back up again early afternoon. Read until I was so tired that my eyes closed and passed out on the couch at ~1630...

Strength: N/A.

Endurance: Good.

Recovery: Actually feeling yesterday's session re chest. Recovery has been slower than usual, and that is because I am not using IGF-2 (really looking forward to being back on it again; I have never been so long withOUT it!)...

Appetite: Ok.

Stress: High.

Libido: None.

Immune System: Migraines becoming more pronounced every time I wake, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Recovery: Feeling my legs during the HIIT Run, but ignoring them and pushing on...Hamstrings quite tight during resistance training and feeling them PAINFUL during second set of BB BS...Whole body still aches, but that's normal after not training as much as I normally would and getting back into it again...

Riding the White Raspberry Wave of White Flood

Controlled Labs has been very generous in sponsoring me with a tub of the newest flavour of White Flood for the next 3 weeks, as I get back into my regular daily and training schedule.


GOAL

The goal from the start of last week has not changed.I have been struggling quite a lot with fatigue since I have been in the US. That, on top of supplement choices, has affected my training, and I have not been training even close to Maintenance level. DIET

I use a calorie/CHO cycling method, but no specific diet as such, as I listen to my body. Therefore macronutrient ratios and amount of calories (anywhere from 1800 to 4000+ cal/day) will change on a day-to-day basis. CHO sources are primarily from fruit (especially apples and bananas) and berries (especially blueberries and raspberries), oats, basmati rice, kumara and potatoes. Protein sources are from protein powder, tofu, cottage cheese, tuna, chicken, beef, salmon, turkey, buffalo, egg whites and seafood. Fat sources are from fish oil, flaxseed oil, natural peanut butter, nuts and seeds (i.e. almonds, walnuts, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds).

White Flood - 2 scoops 30-45 min pre-resistance training (or pre-cardio, if no resistance training that day)

TRAINING

Resistance Training

4-5 sessions per week. The aim is for 5 sessions per week, but it's fine if I only 4 get done. I haven't assigned resistance sessions to a particular day of the week; instead they are done in the order Day 1 to Day 4/5 each week, with recovery days between sessions as my body sees fit. My resistance training varies week by week re exercises and order, sets and reps, always striving to increase weights/strength, and continually progress.

Day 1 - Shoulders/Hamstrings
Day 2 - Back/Chest
Day 3 - Full-Body*
Day 4 - Arms/Abs
Day 5 - Full-Body*

* One of the Full-Body sessions will be high rep.

Cardio

3 x HIIT sessions per week
3-4 x steady-state 20-30 min sessions per week
2-4 x 20-30 min sessions per week (whatever day I feel like, done either post-weights or pm)

Stretching

6-7 x 20-30 min sessions (usually after am cardio session)

Note that for any given week training can be changed and adapted, based on how I am feeling.

My first session with White Flood was this morning...
 
Initial Impressions

White Flood (White Raspberry Flavour)

Smell: 9.5/10. As soon as I opened the tub the scent of magnolias filled my senses. There was the faintest hint of raspberry, but to me it was predominantly floral (um, WTF???). The scent was gorgeous and made me look forward to trying it!

Taste: 8/10. White Flood in White Raspberry tastes exactly like raspberry sorbet. The taste is strong. However, there IS another taste underneath the raspberry that hit about halfway through consumption and it is NOT pleasant.

Solubility: 10/10. As soon as I added the powder to water it almost instantly dissolved. On shaking there was no trace of the powder and no clumps or excess was left in the water or on the bottom of the shaker.

Texture: 10/10. Like fruit juice diluted with water.

Other Effects: 5/10. I started out using 2 scoops as opposed to the recommend half scoop for the first usage, as I am usually ok with most products, and even the 'stronger' products that have recommended starting out at less than full-dosage have not affected me, so I just went straight ahead with White Flood from the start...I have experienced Beta-Alanine tingles before, but they have never been as strong as what I got from the White Flood. They started ~10 minutes after dosing and lasted for a good 50-60 minutes once they started. The tingles were pretty bad in my face and ears (which I have never felt them in before). I felt like my face was burning up and it became a little more flushed than the usual ruddiness from exercise.

Motivation: HIGHLY motivated. First day in a new gym as well (although I will still train sometimes in the gym in the basement). HAD to be, to do post-weights cardio the way I was feeling...

Focus and Stamina: Complete focus during training. Despite my heart feeling like it was trying to jump out of my chest and causing extreme shortness of breath and some small pain after BB Clean and Press sets and at other times during resistance training I shook my head, gritted my teeth and kept focused!...Stamina was fine...

Energy: I actually did NOT feel as though I had a lot of energy for training this morning (I passed out early last night again and slept for ~7 hours; and as mentioned previously, anything more than 4-5 hours sleep and I am not as functional), but I managed to "just keep going like the Energizer Bunny" (as has been said to me on numerous occasions before)...

Endurance: Excellent.

Strength: First time in a new gym means getting used to the weights there, etc. (since they all differ slightly) and finding where I was at. I kept finding that I was actually underestimating what I was capable of, even though it was often LESS than what I HAVE been using when I HAVE trained over the last few weeks!

Explosiveness and Power: First effort during HIIT was out of the blocks, full speed ahead...Only my BB Clean and Press was about power in resistance training...

Pumps and Vascularity: Got a massive pump in legs and shoulders during training...Vascularity was pretty badass...

Recovery: Recovery has been slow. Still feeling my hamstrings quite a bit (and the leg curl did not help today; PAIN!) since those BB Back Squats two days ago. Walked VERY slowly home and hamstrings have been tender walking all day. Feeling quite shattered as well (and looking it).

Body Composition: Softer than I want, but still seeing definition.

Appetite: Not much am. Ravenous pm.

Stress: HIGH.

Libido: Some.

Immune System: I feel like my glands are up slightly and my throat and neck have been sore the last couple of days on waking. Think I am having a mild reaction from one of the vaccinations I had to have last week...

Other Effects: I have experienced Beta-Alanine tingles before, but they have never been as strong as what I got from the White Flood. They started ~10 minutes after dosing and lasted for a good 50-60 minutes once they started. The tingles were pretty bad in my face and ears (which I have never felt them in before). I felt like my face was burning up and it became a little more flushed than the usual ruddiness from exercise...During resistance training my heart was beating so hard and fast during and after some exercises it was hurting and felt like it was trying to jump out of my chest and I was having a hard time breathing. NOT happy (nor pleasant)...

Very detailed. Whats keeps jumping out at me is NO libido, and HIGH stress.

Cheers...I am pretty much ALWAYS highly stressed; that's just how I am...Libido changes day to day and DURING the day as well. Sometimes I may have had high points during the day, but I just put a general overview of the day there. Just depends on what mood I am in also when writing up my daily update...Note that my stress levels do NOT affect my libido...

Focus and Stamina: Definitely focused, although getting quite heady while lifting, because of the effort and also because there is poor air conditioning and I get overheated easily...Stamina fine; time passed quickly...

Energy: Whole body ached all over on waking and did not have the energy to be FAST. Had the energy to do it at a steady pace and just keep going...

Endurance: Excellent.

Strength: FAR from ok with Pull-Ups; I am going to have to work my way BACK up AGAIN (that's the SECOND time this year I've had to do it!) to what I was doing (I'm also heavier than I was, so...) Everything else was fine...

Explosiveness and Power: There...

Pumps and Vascularity: Wasn't doing the reps for a pump...Vascularity on the other hand, was strong, with knots all through my arms...

Recovery: Legs are fine now...Feeling upper traps (since waking)...It will be the fifth day in a row in the gym tomorrow; be interesting to see how I feel after THAT!

Body Composition: Working on it...

Appetite: I have been preoccupied most of the day when not training, and meals have been further apart than usual.

Stress: HIGH.

Libido: Preoccupied...

Immune System: Slight sore throat on waking. Otherwise ok...

Other Effects: Unlike yesterday I did NOT get strong Beta-Alanine tingles today, and I did not experience them until I was on the spin bike and it was 98 minutes after I took my White Flood. They didn't last long either, only ~20 minutes and were so mild...Tight chest and shortness of breath did NOT occur in the gym today...Walking home from the gym I almost threw up (but squashed it down), which is saying SOMEthing (either about the intensity I was working at or getting back into it), since I do NOT throw up (I can count the amount of times I have in my lifetime on one hand, and even putting a finger down my throat canNOT induce vomiting!)...I LOVED the smell of the White Flood yesterday, but today it seemed even BETTER and it's honestly the best smelling supplement that I have ever used and I almost felt like just sniffing it and siffing it for the scent, LOL :D

Strength: This session was not about strength...

Pumps and Vascularity: Had a pump from the time I finished my HIIT Run (which is interesting, considering HIIT does NOT usually give a pump anywhere, let alone ARMS!) Pump continued during resistance training...Vascularity strong...

Recovery: Arms and Chest ache from the last couple of days (also been 5 days in a row resistance training in the last 7 weeks, so that's playing a part in the DOMS as well)...Feeling pretty ok though...

Body Composition: Looked ok...

Appetite: Have hardly thought about food all day and not been particularly hungry either (rather eating when I have to because I need to and not because I want to...)

Stress: Stressed am and afternoon; not as much pm...Going away for a couple of days, so going to RELAX and ENJOY myself!

Libido: Going to be going at a hundred miles an hour soon...

Immune System: Slight ache in neck, but nothing more...

Other Effects: Experienced the Beta-Alanine tingles 8 minutes after dosing White Flood today. Again they were mild and only lasted ~10 minutes...Did my resistance session 60 minutes post-dose as well, just to see what difference (if any) having it 60 min pre-weights made (since I have the last two days had it 45 min pre-weights). Didn't notice any difference...

This week's Day OFF...Because it is a Day Off I am NOT using White Flood today...


Motivation: Still >100% motivated. It's good, being back into the swing of things...

Focus and Stamina: Focus is there...

Energy: Energy has been ok since I got up at 0515, despite being shattered last night and not falling asleep until close to 0200 this morning...

Endurance: N/A.

Strength: N/A.

Explosiveness and Power: N/A.

Pumps and Vascularity: It barely takes me waving my arms around to get a pump in them (WTF???)...Vascularity good...

Recovery: I ache all over from training over the last 5 days (DOMS is to be expected, especially getting back into it after what feels like forever 'off'). Arms feel the worst.

Body Composition and Look: Definitely look (and feel) better when I am doing 4-5 resistance training sessions...I am noticing that my muscles are back to being hard almost all the time as well (love that).

Appetite: When I need to.

Stress: Some areas calm and relaxed; going to enjoy the waterpark and themepark at Mount Olympus this afternoon (will be my first rollercoaster ride!)...Some areas the needle is beeping red off the radar...

Libido: There...

Immune System: Woke with a stuffy nose and sore throat and burning eyes, but these are not effects of vaccinations, but from the chlorine in the whirlpool...

Other Effects: None.

Did not use White Flood today either...However, HAVE been using 1 cap of Cre-02 15-30 minutes pre-meals 2-3 times daily on non-resistance training days...


Motivation: There more than ever...

Focus and Stamina: Focused I was this morning...Spent the afternoon and evening passing in and out of sleep...

Energy: Energy was there this morning...Feeling exhausted after walk (er...)

Endurance: N/A.

Pumps and Vascularity: My triceps have had a constant pump in them for a few days now and it hurts so much that I can barely move my arms and is NOT pleasant at all...Vascularity the usual...

Recovery: Not sure if it is poor recovery or something else, but the DOMS in arms (with pump) is NOT fun...

Body Composition and Look: Muscles harder and starting to get back that definition..Triceps have gained size (this is especially noticeable in right side, which looks a lot bigger than my left; wonder why).

Appetite: BIG meals today...

Stress: Had high and low moments throughout the day...

Immune System: Each time I have woken today I have had a sore throat, aching neck, burning and bloodshot eyes, barely wanting to move. I am getting a reaction from one (or some) of the vaccinations I had last week (reactions start and last anywhere from the first few days to 12 weeks, so hopefully it's not long)...

Other Effects: Aside from the weird constant tricep pump, none.

Strength: I did the same exercises and similar rep range as last week for this session. However weights for all exericses in Supersets A and B were quite a bit more than last week.

Explosiveness and Power: Not an explosive nor powerful session re exercises (and not trying to be either).

Pumps and Vascularity: Pump came on strong during resistance training...Vascularity was good...

Recovery: Felt fresh as during HIIT Run...Resistance training did not suffer...And felt great during post-weights cardio (I am used to the Gazelle now)...

Body Composition and Look: Still holding a little subcutaneous water.

Appetite: Normal.

Stress: I got told that I am not frowning as often as I was...

Immune System: Just stiffness and dry throat on waking...

Focus and Stamina: Despite a few moments during resistance training when I got lightheaded, kept my focus...Stamina there...

Energy: Felt completely SMASHED during resistance training...

Strength: I did better than last week, with either weight or reps, so good.

Explosiveness and Power: The only exercise that was really explosive was the BB Clean and Press; and I was breathing heavily between reps.

Pumps and Vascularity: Pump started during HIIT Run, in my anterior deltoids. It intensified during resistance training; appearing in triceps as well...Vascularity started coming out more during BB Military Press...

Recovery: Ok, I guess. The Treadmill after my resistance session was an effort and then some, but didn't fall off the treadmill or land on my face...

Body Composition and Look: Still feeling like I am holding water (what's up with that? I'm drinking enough and there's NO other reason for it)...

Appetite: It will be as I must.

Stress: Still high...

Libido: It's still early yet, but it will probably have a few high points throughout the day...

Immune System: Woke all bloodshot eyes and tired...

Other Effects: Felt the Beta-Alanine tingles today; they started ~40 minutes after dosing it, and instead of being on my face and ears, I felt them all over my legs and glutes and down my arms, which was weird. Not a strong tingle like it was the first time I used White Flood, but different, nonetheless...

So painful come the afternoon that could barely walk without extreme pain (doing the HIIT Run after yesterday's HIIT Run, resistance session, and treadmill didn't help, either)...

Body Composition and Look: Still holding water and looking a little puffy and feeling rather UNcomfortable...

Appetite: "I've never seen anyone eat like you" is something that I get told OFTEN!

Stress: Out of the ballpark...

Libido: There was a moment in the morning, but the frustration and stress is having the opposite effect than usual, rendering it nada...

Immune System: Not a lot better...

Other Effects: None. I may start using White Flood on days that I do just cardio as well, to see if that makes a difference or if I feel any other effects...

Yeah, these are NOT cool. I've only done 4 days of training each of the last two weeks, at not even HALF of my usual Maintenance training, and I feel more like sh*t every time I miss a session (and missing a DAY; WHOAH!) This week is going to get 5 days in, and next week had better get back to being 6-7 days!!!


Motivation: There, but busy day today and other things had to take precedence...

Focus and Stamina: Focus highly irritated (why the fcuk can't people get things right the fcuking first time instead of screwing everyone else around???)...Stamina petering and passing out later in the afternoon...

Immune System: Sore throat, aching neck, blocked nose, and red eyes, on waking. Far from being ok and just pissing me off more than anything...

Other Effects: Aside from experiencing some minor lethargy late afternoon, then nothing. I'm finding that I pass out not long after eating all my meals post-12pm these days; never been like that before. I had better NOT be getting sensitive to insulin (well, girl, you knew that you had to clean up your act re nutrition; this is a wake-up call; PAY ATTENTION to it!!!)

ThermoGum Notes: I tried a piece of the final version of ThermoGum. It tastes different to the betas that I initially tried. To be honest I do not notice any raspberry or cinnamon flavour with these drops. Instead I am assaulted by a lemonade flavour, and it tastes like Sunlight Lemon dishwashing liquid; NOT very pleasant at all. The Lemonade flavour only lasts a few minutes before the Black Pepper/Bioperine taste settles in. However, I only chewed this drop for less than an hour because the initial taste lingered with me almost as an aftertaste and I do not like it. I have quite a few packets of ThermoGum to use and I WILL use every one of them, because as a gum it has qualities that I like and want to experiment with in different training situations to see what effects occur. It will just be getting past that Lemonade flavour; I loved the initial Raspberry Cinnamon of the betas...

Energy: Energy during HIIT Run took a while to get there and feeling drained by the end of it and glad to get home...Resistance training saw me coming alive and feeling as if I could go on for ages...Treadmill efforts started off at an easy pace as wasn't sure how body was feeling, but kept on increasing it and body responded well, managing the faster paces that I pushed it to without feeling exhausted and fatigued as it has been...

Endurance: Excellent.

Strength: Did a lot better today than either of the last two weeks during resistance training, increasing the weights every set from the second set on; strength continues to rise and soon I will be back at where I was pre-USA.

Explosiveness and Power: Definitely there. Treadmill required some today and had it to spare.

Pumps and Vascularity: Pumps excellent, starting from the HIIT Run and continuing through to the walk home from the gym...Vascularity awesome...

Recovery: For the first time over the last two weeks I do not feel shattered after training, so recovery is starting to pick up...

Appetite: Knocking the nail on the head re diet from now on; no more whole loaves of bread (and some) that I have been having in a single sitting (eaten more bread since I have been over here in the US than I have in the last year - I am wheat intolerant and other carbohydrates like oats, rice, kumara, etc. I deal better with)...

Recovery: Slept for nearly 11 hours last night (must have needed it)...Body is definitely a little sore, but not as much as it was (guess I just needed to get 'used' to training more again)...

Body Composition and Look: Starting to see the progress; this week has seen me noticeably lean up a bit (see what a different training makes for me!)...

Appetite: Having severe carbohydrate cravings (and giving in :D)

Stress: 4 on the stress scale of 1 to 10...

Libido: Definitely there and rising (and even better after awesome training sessions!)

Immune System: Fine.

Other Effects: Beta-Alanine tingles started after the second superset (which was ~50 minutes after having White Flood) and lasted for only a few sets.

Other Notes: From tomorrow I am going to start dosing White Flood at THREE scoops and see how that compares to two scoops. I am also going to NOT chew ThermoGum during a few sessions, to see how the White Flood actually does re energy on its own and see if it is any different (as I noticed that my energy was BETTER when I chewed ThermGum as well as dosing White Flood)...Aside from not doing one resistance session (i.e. I did 4 instead of 5, but 4 is still 'ok') I completed all the planned training sessions for this week. Next week is going to see me take it up a notch just a little more (as I have managed to do each week) re training by adding in that fifth resistance session and a couple more cardio sessions...

Focus and Stamina: Focus once up (and alertness is pretty awesome on ThermoGum)...Stamina ok...

Energy: I still have not had RPM since I ran out a couple of weeks ago, and ThermoGum is what has been giving me the energy that I missed from RPM...

Endurance: Good.

Strength: N/A.

Explosiveness and Power: Good. Efforts were definitely better quality today...

Pumps and Vascularity: Pumps in anterior delts painful whilst running...Vascularity fine...

Recovery: No DOMS from yesterday...However, slept for nearly 12 hours!...

Body Composition and Look: Ok...

Appetite: Normal.

Stress: 5 on the stress scale of 1 to 10...

Libido: There...

Immune System: Fine.

Other Effects: N/A.

Other Notes: As mentioned, I have not been using RPM for a while now. I am not going to be using RPM again and will be selective in my use of ThermoGum for the duration of my time on White Flood; this gives me a chance to see whether White Flood actually makes a difference in my energy.

Strength: Definitely increasing. Seeing an increase on either weight or reps for EVERY exercise this week...Upping the weight EVERY set of BB Clean and Press...

Explosiveness and Power: Both there...

Pumps and Vascularity: Pumps in legs after the Spin Bike (interesting). Started in deltoids and hamstrings during and after resistance session. In legs again after the Treadmill...Vascularity ok...

Recovery: Recovery is getting better each week...

Body Composition and Look: Although I am HEAVIER than I was when I started White Flood I have LOST 1.7% BF over the last three weeks...

Appetite: Fine.

Stress: A 5 on the stress scale of 1 to 10...

Libido: Going to be high tonight...

Immune System: Good.

Other Effects: Took THREE scoops of White Flood ~45 min pre-resistance session this morning. Had Beta-Alanine tingles almost immediately after dosing, but they only lasted a few minutes...Didn't experience anything any differently than I did using only two scoops of White Flood...

Focus and Stamina: Focus was good (aside from the few moments when got heady during resistance training)...Stamina fine as always...

Energy: Felt quite fatigued during HIIT (it was also quite a bit warmer than it has been lately, which could have contributed to this)...Started coming alive more during resistance training (although with low reps and high weight energy is not really the issue)...Stepper couldn't wait to finish...

Endurance: Excellent.

Strength: Better than last week. My deadlifts are getting back there again...

Pumps and Vascularity: Pump in left anterior deltoid during HIIT Run. Pump in arms a little during resistance training. Pump in calves during Stepper...Vascularity started becoming quite pronounced during second set of Superset C and stayed like that...

Recovery: I always have 'good' and 'bad' weeks re days that I do Chest in the gym. This week was ok, but I felt VERY weak during Superset A (albeit didn't feel like that during any other Supersets)...

Body Composition and Look: I need to be LEANER!!!

Appetite: Good.

Stress: A 5 on the stress scale of 1 to 10...

Libido: Ok.

Immune System: Fine.

Other Effects: Three scoops of White Flood (~45 min pre-resistance training) again today. NO Beta-Alanine tingles or sensation experienced at all today. No change in energy from using two scoops either.

Other Notes: I have one more day of Cre-02 left, and then will go back to using NeoVar Recomped...My body is still almost running on NZ time (weird how it has fallen back into that routine naturally); I have to get in that routine in US time...80% of the year has gone by already; where did it go so FAST?...

Energy: Body felt fcuked this morning on waking. A few errands to do, that took precedence over training (hence the day off today). Just feel like blobbing...

Endurance: N/A.

Strength: N/A.

Explosiveness and Power: N/A.

Pumps and Vascularity: Pump none...Vascularity ok...

Recovery: Recovery after Chest/Back days seems the worst; I have DOMS all through my upper chest and across to arms...

Body Composition and Look: GRRRR...

Appetite: HIGH carbohydrates today; dinner alone had 224g of them!

Stress: A 5 on the stress scale of 1 to 10...

Libido: Eh, been better...

Immune System: Fine.

Other Effects: None.

Other Notes: It has been interesting using a preworkout product only on RESISTANCE training days, as opposed to ALL training days, and I am NOT used to that (usually using such a product EVERY day). Only using ONE preworkout product has made a few noticeable differences as well.
