Maple Bacon, strawberry poptart, creme brûlée, and Nutella. Very strong donut game here in San Diego. All were good, but the Nutella was pretty ridiculous.
Where was this...around buffalo?

Primanti's doesn't use Mayo in their slaw a reason why I can tolerate it. I did an eating challenge where I had to eat 1 pound of mayo with a 2lb burger and fries and I wlll never eat regular slaw ever again. Ugh..
I always get pepper jack cheese and a fried egg on the pastrami, and 100% agree the steak is too damn dry there. I avoid it at all costs. Somehow the pittsburgher is the #2 sandwich and its steak based, but it is dry as a board. Makes 0 sense.

Interesting feedback. From the pictures I expected A+ experience feedback but sometimes the look is better than the bite!Primanti Brothers (Indianapolis, IN):

6/10 chain. Try it out but don't expect greatness.
Cabbage needed mayo and more vinegar. Pastrami wasn't very flavorful or juice, steak was beyond well done, fries not enough seasoning, bread mediocre. The sum of the parts does make for a fun sandwich though and the price is very accessible.
Hard to imagine a slaw without some mayo in it... What do they use in its place? Love me some good tasty slaw and pastrami is such a good tasting meat.Primanti's doesn't use Mayo in their slaw a reason why I can tolerate it. LLN touched on that in his review..Hard to imagine a slaw without some mayo in it... What do they use in its place? Love me some good tasty slaw and pastrami is such a good tasting meat.

Dont care... will still buy just to try them all haha. Also, any hint of syrup sounds good to me
any idea where the waffle oreos are/will be? my work net keeps banning me from all the junk food sites haha
Hahaha! Word on the web is that it's exclusive to Albertson's owned stores
bleh, I hope not. i hate store exclusives (except walmart/target since theyre basically everywhere)
I know! I had never even heard of Albertson's! I had to look it up!

I'll look for it next trip. Haven't gone in a few weeks
If you think it would ship well (which it may) i may need to shoot you a list of things to get me and we can work out a trade.
LLN can have a field day with this, but...the Russell Stover big bite s'mores are legit. Especially the ones with caramel. Microwave for 5-8 seconds and they are great!
How were the chicken crisps? The taco was a bummer just cuz you couldn't taste anything but the chicken butt these seem like they should be good

Donut Kraze, Buffalo Ny
Reese's cup, maple bacon, cotton candy, chocolate dream, cream cheese, coconut Boston cream, etc...
Pretty good. Not super impressed. Not as good as I remember. But this is coming off of an amazing experience at Donut Bar in San Diego.
What you like better Paula's or DK?
Team Paula here!
Paula's. Hands down. But the wifey wanted DK for Mother's Day lunch....can't argue with that!
Mississippi Mud Pie Oreo's

Oreo's are starting to roll out for the summer and these ones are exclusive to Dollar General. The best part about buying these oreos was the workers had no idea these were made just for their stores. Nor did they have a clue they were even being sold at dollar general. After asking for these are 4 different stores I got the deer in headlights stare from every workout I interacted with.
The Mississippi Mud Pie oreo carries over the chocolate shell and chocolate cream filling with a whipped cream addition. Looking at the container it almost reminded me of the limited filled cupcake oreo. How different will this be compared to the small dap of cream in the older limited edition flavor.
On paper it looks like this creation is made by taking a regular chocolate oreo, then taking half the cream filling of a regular oreo, and meshing both fillings together to form the Mississippi Mud Pie. The chocolate shell is a typical oreo shell which we have had for years. The shell has a crunchy dark chocolate flavoring to it that is underwhelming compared to the cream filing. The chocolate filling has a semi-sweet chocolate flavor that has a trickle of fudge in the aftertaste. The amount of chocolate flavor is no where near as rich as the brownie batter oreos, but still a small step up for the original chocolate oreo. The whipped cream center is actually a bit better then expected from a regular oreo. Usually the sweet cream is a nice addition to a chocolate wafer cookie. With this whipped cream center it provides a sweeter milk like flavor that gives it a luscious aftertaste.
Overall the combination is a nice touch, and I give this one a better edge over the limited edition filled cupcake oreo. Nothing really sticks out besides the extra sweetness in the whip cream center, but the limited edition gimmick of putting a pie in the background was a neat marketing tool. They were not bad by any means. but you kind of already know what to expect going into these. With a small twist on the regular sweet cream filling they are still better then a regular oreo. For those without a Dollar General don't sweat a storm if you miss this one.
Overall grade: 7.5/10
Pro's:
- Whip cream center has an enhanced sweetness to a regular sweet cream filling.
- Good ratio of chocolate to whip cream filling
- $2 for an entire box
Con's:
- Knew what these would taste like if you had a regular and chocolate oreo before
- Not a top tier LE flavor
I would add "costs $2 at a Dollar General" to your cons. But otherwise, I trust your review.
