Fingers crossed

Maple Bacon, strawberry poptart, creme brûlée, and Nutella. Very strong donut game here in San Diego. All were good, but the Nutella was pretty ridiculous.

Where was this...around buffalo?

6/10 chain. Try it out but don't expect greatness.

Cabbage needed mayo and more vinegar. Pastrami wasn't very flavorful or juice, steak was beyond well done, fries not enough seasoning, bread mediocre. The sum of the parts does make for a fun sandwich though and the price is very accessible.

Primanti's doesn't use Mayo in their slaw a reason why I can tolerate it. I did an eating challenge where I had to eat 1 pound of mayo with a 2lb burger and fries and I wlll never eat regular slaw ever again. Ugh..

I always get pepper jack cheese and a fried egg on the pastrami, and 100% agree the steak is too damn dry there. I avoid it at all costs. Somehow the pittsburgher is the #2 sandwich and its steak based, but it is dry as a board. Makes 0 sense.

What's even weirder is the fact that "pittsburgh rare" is the term for how rare many burgh people like their steak. Basically hot outside and not even cooked in the middle ha. My kind of steak.

Flavors were quite good as is to be expected from the ready-to-eat side of a nationally renowned salumeria, but each one was gone in three bites. Went in hungry, left hungry...and outraged.

Team DiBella's for life.

That's all well and good but 90% of America expects and loves mayo in their coleslaw...as well as anything else for that matter.

Interesting feedback. From the pictures I expected A+ experience feedback but sometimes the look is better than the bite!

Hard to imagine a slaw without some mayo in it... What do they use in its place? Love me some good tasty slaw and pastrami is such a good tasting meat.

LLN touched on that in his review..
Cabbage needed mayo and more vinegar Its vinegar based. Provides a fantastic crunch with the fries on the sandwiches. Its a chain restaurant, of course its not 10/10 mom and pop quality. but for a local sandwich shop in the north east its good. The pastrami with fried egg = the play. The cajun chicken with extra cajun (not spicy enough when it comes regular) and when pigs fly (bacon, ham, turkey, and fried egg) are my top 3. They always overcook the meat there, that is why I highly avoid it and never suggest it.

Poverty meal at home...damn tasty tho...

Succesful restaurants/pubs in this category, tend to be the ones that have mastered visual presentation of the product.

Consistently making something that actually tastes the part is much harder.

Firework oreos not getting good reviews at all.
Almost every review states the popping addition is mediocre unless you just eat the cream itself. A lot more on social media (IG), but just some reading I came across.

Invalid Link Removed

'When eaten as a whole cookie, I got some pops here and there – but otherwise it just felt like I was crunching sugar crystals"

"Here’s why not: The Pop Rock action is ultimately disappointing. Basically, you get gritty filling, more like “Beach Towel Oreo” than foaming, popping Oreo. The only action we got was tiny, short-lived and almost indetectable.

First review on the Waffle & Syrup

Invalid Link Removed

Invalid Link Removed

I attacked the creme first and got the hint of maple syrup pretty quickly. Notice I only said hint; it’s definitely not as strong as the smell suggested it would be. Still, the maple flavor is present in enough quantity to separate itself from the normal vanilla creme.
There’s traces of maple syrup and not much more. not tasting quite like the featured flavor

Dont care... will still buy just to try them all haha. Also, any hint of syrup sounds good to me

Hard pass on the fireworks (and I don't do that often with oreos). I would definitely try the waffle and syrup but it doesn't look like they will be available in my neck of the woods. Once more reviews come out I'll make the decision to look online

any idea where the waffle oreos are/will be? my work net keeps banning me from all the junk food sites haha

Going to go ahead and guess that 95% of the people who have given this a negative review did the scum bag move of using the microwave...

Invalid Link Removed

I don't consume microwaved garbage (I consume baked garbage) and know that pepperoni tastes disgusting when placed into one...so the mini oven was used...

Invalid Link Removed

It's not amazing. It's not a must have. It's not even one of the better TJ frozen food items, but it does get the job done.

The pepperoni is cheap tasting (think high school pizza) yet adds nice saltiness and crisps up decently, the noodles are neither too soft nor hard, and the mozz/cheddar cheese blend combines nicely with the buttery sauce to give the mix a pleasing milky flavor.

Buy 1 to try out. Just not more than that.

If you think it would ship well (which it may) i may need to shoot you a list of things to get me and we can work out a trade.

Sure thing. I'll go next week as I'm working right next door to one of them tues-thurs. I'll hit you up tues if they have them and then we can work stuff out for weds/thurs

LLN can have a field day with this, but...the Russell Stover big bite s'mores are legit. Especially the ones with caramel. Microwave for 5-8 seconds and they are great!

Regular ones are respectable. Caramel filled ones tho? Bruh...

Btw, TJ also has some mini S'mores ones that you can microwave. Fairly tasty poverty confection.

Its the naked chicken chalupa into little chicken nuggets. Cheese sauce is a nice touch, and they have a bit of a kick to them. For fast food its good, for overall regular quality food.. bottom of the barrel lol

Reese's cup, maple bacon, cotton candy, chocolate dream, cream cheese, coconut Boston cream, etc...

Pretty good. Not super impressed. Not as good as I remember. But this is coming off of an amazing experience at Donut Bar in San Diego.

What you like better Paula's or DK?
Team Paula here!

Paula's. Hands down. But the wifey wanted DK for Mother's Day lunch....can't argue with that!

Should of got an apple fritter.
Those suckers are like 1.5 pounds. I love how they only keep one out for inventory and display haha

The strawberry cheesecake is one of their best (DK). Marty got that for me the first time I had DK, highly suggest.

Mississippi Mud Pie Oreo's

Oreo's are starting to roll out for the summer and these ones are exclusive to Dollar General. The best part about buying these oreos was the workers had no idea these were made just for their stores. Nor did they have a clue they were even being sold at dollar general. After asking for these are 4 different stores I got the deer in headlights stare from every workout I interacted with.

The Mississippi Mud Pie oreo carries over the chocolate shell and chocolate cream filling with a whipped cream addition. Looking at the container it almost reminded me of the limited filled cupcake oreo. How different will this be compared to the small dap of cream in the older limited edition flavor.

On paper it looks like this creation is made by taking a regular chocolate oreo, then taking half the cream filling of a regular oreo, and meshing both fillings together to form the Mississippi Mud Pie. The chocolate shell is a typical oreo shell which we have had for years. The shell has a crunchy dark chocolate flavoring to it that is underwhelming compared to the cream filing. The chocolate filling has a semi-sweet chocolate flavor that has a trickle of fudge in the aftertaste. The amount of chocolate flavor is no where near as rich as the brownie batter oreos, but still a small step up for the original chocolate oreo. The whipped cream center is actually a bit better then expected from a regular oreo. Usually the sweet cream is a nice addition to a chocolate wafer cookie. With this whipped cream center it provides a sweeter milk like flavor that gives it a luscious aftertaste.

Overall the combination is a nice touch, and I give this one a better edge over the limited edition filled cupcake oreo. Nothing really sticks out besides the extra sweetness in the whip cream center, but the limited edition gimmick of putting a pie in the background was a neat marketing tool. They were not bad by any means. but you kind of already know what to expect going into these. With a small twist on the regular sweet cream filling they are still better then a regular oreo. For those without a Dollar General don't sweat a storm if you miss this one.

Overall grade: 7.5/10

Pro's:
- Whip cream center has an enhanced sweetness to a regular sweet cream filling.
- Good ratio of chocolate to whip cream filling
- $2 for an entire box

Con's:
- Knew what these would taste like if you had a regular and chocolate oreo before
- Not a top tier LE flavor

I would add "costs $2 at a Dollar General" to your cons. But otherwise, I trust your review.
