The epic food porn thread

LLN don't neg me bro for the size of the philly (I got it free for joining the DiBella's bread club lol)

Don't know what's more disappoint: the sub size or the fact that you chose a whole wheat bread. c'mon brah.

However, Berry Kix....whole different story bro!

Skeptical mayne...prob the same airy texture and have never been a fan of artificial berry flavouring (the new Blueberry Toast cereal has been my only exception).

Whole wheat bread > White.

Though I'm sure Dibella's has other options that trump both

Haha yea, don't get your hopes up. But they are way more sugary and flavorful than boring old Kix

BRU, why do you remove the first bracket when quoting? Tripping me out lol

Kix are best eaten straight out of the box. Milk destroys them in an instant

I was going for satiety with the multigrain considering I had a bunch of donuts lol

Not currently in the states gents, but looking forward to seeing your basic b*tch pumpkin cereal reviews.

I enjoy several grain filled breads but the statement above is borderline criminal.

Will keep in mind.

That's how I ate them m8. Kix are best deposited in a trash can.

Know what's even better for satiety? A large sub ;)

These look very interesting.

Were these out last year? I didn't see them? I would like to hear a review if they were. If not, I'll pick them up. I love all Life cereal.

Deep Fried Twinkies got a good review at JunkBanter
8/10

It’s not super crunchy out of the oven, but the Fried Twinkie does have a crispy outside and a softer cake-like inside. Best of all, it totally tastes like funnel cake.

The creme inside the Fried Twinkie basically becomes vanilla icing once melted. Imagine a funnel cake with warm vanilla glaze on top instead of powdered sugar. Yes, please. The creme filing tastes a lot better in its heated-up state. In fact, these don’t even taste that much like Twinkies. They’re far better. Maybe a bit too much oil, maybe a little straightforward, but a Deep Fried Twinkie sure hits the spot – that very soft spot between your 2nd and 3rd stomach rolls.

I was there and smuggled a pack back into Canada!:haha:

Also cracked the cinnamon sugar chips ahoy thins: Great sweet cinnamon taste and crunchy/crumbly texture vs the typical soft offerings. 8/10

Another favorite of mine, in pumpkin form!

Meijers had a ton of pumpkin stuff out last Friday. Now I need to go back and see if these are out yet. I hope they don't disappoint.

We need some pumpkin spice almond milk as well. I don't think I've ever seen one.

WTF, now I need to add those Milanos too. I will be on the hunt Thursday or Friday, that is the next time I am going to a store that isn't Aldi.

Aldi don't carry a whole lot of seasonal things like Wegmans, Walmart, Target etc will.

I know. That's why I said I'll check my other store. I just need a few things from Aldi instead of the usual chain stores around me. Although Aldi can be good for some unual finds once in a while.

From The Impulsive Buy, seems like the Deep Fried Twinkies are a hit so far

Purchased Price: $4.79
Size: 7 cakes
Purchased at: Walmart
Rating: 10 out of 10
Pros: The buttery lovechild of a county fair, a bakery, and a snack cake aisle. Wanting (and planning) to pour this crème onto a Belgian waffle. Frozen custard cylinders. Winning my town fair’s pie-eating contest in high school.
Cons: Being unable to decide whether to eat my next Twinkie frozen or hot. Only come 7 to a package. Smelling burnt crème in my toaster oven for the next two weeks. Shuddering memories of Cap’n Crunch Delights.

Junk banter gave them a 8/10

First up is original golden, hereby known as (OG). The OG Hostess Deep Fried Twinkie is a funnel cake battered sponge cake with creamy filling. Did you catch that one thing? This is a Twinkie covered in funnel cake before it’s deep fried in fat.

I was expecting a golden brown Twinkie out of the oven, but instead got a Twinkie with jaundice. It’s not super crunchy out of the oven, but the Fried Twinkie does have a crispy outside and a softer cake-like inside. Best of all, it totally tastes like funnel cake. It’s buttery and understandably greasy, i.e. it’s delicious.

I saw the review a few pages back.

Fewer copy pastas, more personal reviews and pictures you misers.

Will be checking in soon with a boat load of consumed baked goods pictures from here in Zurich.

So much good stuff coming out!

Here is another pumpkin flavor cereal and it is another type I really enjoy. I wish crappier types of pumpkin cereal were coming out so I would not need to become a hoarder.

I definitely need this the apple crunch was really good

Non-related, but if we're seeing pumpkin flavors this soon, I can only image when we'll see Christmas decorations. I'm thinking the middle of September

More gbread this year would be amazing... I'm all about the fall-winter seasonal flavors. Bring them on in may for all I care ha

Here is also a quick review on this milk I tried. This stuff was amazing. It honestly tasted like your favorite vanilla milkshake. It was very thick as well, not as thick as a milkshake, but closely identical. The macros are great too. For 12 ounces, 4 grams of fat, 11 grams of carbs and 30 grams of protein. If you have a grocery store near you that doubles coupons, such as a Shoprite or Stop and Shop/Giant, pick some up. On their website, they always have coupons. I bought this one and a chocolate and ended up paying 25 cents for both, no each, but both. This is a great way to get some protein in post workout. Normally I do not like protein drinks, hell, I never mix my powders in liquid. But the macros, price, taste and thick consistency make this stuff gold!

Salt & Straw Triple Chocolate Cheerio Chimp

Overall this is a good pint, not a top tier S&S flavor, but still very enjoyable. Being a chocolate fan I would easily consider this one in the future if the quality of the cheerios could be brought up. The base if you ever tried S&S is superb. The dark chocolate banana's were the highlight of this pint, but the only problem was the amount. The dark chocolate swirl bonded well with the milk chocolate base to add a different chocolate element. The combination of chocolate flavors flowed together and enhanced the chocolate presence. While this may seem unique with the combination of mix-ins the quality could of been upgraded. With that said this is a good offering, but not the best from the April order of Salt & Straw.
