Did you ever have the OG Myofusion Vanilla? It was literally just like butterscotch. I miss it.

I checked Stop and Shop today for the pumpkin cereals and nutri grain bars. I did not see any.

Ok, so I have a backlog of more than 30+ pictures to get through, but we'll begin today. Now these will all be baked goods...why?

Because going out to eat here (for the savory things) is incredibly expensive. To give you an idea, a large sub + drink at Subway is $23 dollars. And since this country doesn't have many immigrants, no good ethnic cuisine translates to much more boring offerings.

Apricot Kuchen:

From one of my first days here, so it's a supermarket version. Average honestly. They make these here with a custard type cream in between the fruit slices and the dough is soft. It's a fairly classic dessert so I might have to give a real bakery version another shot.

OK here it comes donuts... Took the train to NYC to hit Doughnut Plant

Coconut creme (legit coconut flavoured creme w/no flakes - 9.5/10)
Boston creme - 8.5/10
Coconut lime (very strong lime flav filling - 8/10)
PB & blackberry jam - 8.5/10
Cinnamon sugar - 7/10
Brooklyn blackout - 8/10
Vanilla bean - 7/10
Pecan praline - 7.5/10
White chocolate - (needs to be done more! - 9.5/10)

Planned to go to Dough but went to dinner first and NYC being crazy on a Sat night soon realized I wasn't going to make it before close - depression set in so no dinner pics. I was at a Malaysian restaurant that was actually very good.

Tried to make up for the miss on Dough, futile attemp at Magnolia Bakery
Snickers cheesecake bar

Coconut caramel chip bar

Both were average. Also tried a red velvet cheesecake (no pic) that was really good. Verdict - if you go to Magnolia only get cheesecake lol

Here comes the Heat! I found a bakery (M&M bakery) fairly close to my Hotel that was rated a 5 (20+ reviews) so took a shot on it. I walked in and was blown away by the selection. Server was super friendly and answered all my questions, gave me a free pignoli biscotti while I chose too.
Cupcakes are the real deal - the cake part resembles the actual flavour, not just plain choc or vanilla. They all have filling which is the only way I'll mess with cupcakes.

Carrot cake, Samoa, s'mores & cannoli (all fantastic!)

Brownie truffles - a dense & fudgy brownie enrobed in chocolate

Lobster tail with cannoli creme (she gave me the option of reg creme or this)

LLN don't slack on this place bro - I tried to go back on Monday to get their s'mores brownie and more cupcakes but were closed

On a sugar rush I headed down to Rutgers to the R U Hungry food truck and grabbed a FAT Filipino - Philly cheesesteak + gyro meat + chicken fingers + mozzarella sticks + Freedom fries
Sorry there is too much freedom fries obscuring the other stuff in the pic...

Picked it up around the time a fella came out with a similarly flavored protein. Chocolate flakes and cream were nice but the cake part was too dry...and I hate dry cakes. Macros were on point tho...like 900 cals for the whole thing.

Let's stay focused...after a hard swing & miss on Dough closing in NYC before I could get there, I found a work around option. A coffee shop near Rutgers gets daily deliveries of 4 flavours (Hibiscus, chocolate, Cafe Au Lait & dulce de leche). They were out of the dulce

The 4 are all yeast donuts, but Dough donuts are almost like like a hybrid between your typical yeast & cake donut. Yet they are light and really good! More depressed I missed the NYC shop


Hibiscus - great fruity flavour

Chocolate ganache - nothing overwhelming here but Dough is quality so still great

Cafe Au Lait - the most popular among the four for good reason

Headed to a friends place to grab dinner and they had grabbed a dulce de leche earlier and treated me to half, warmed up - straight $$
