The epic food porn thread

Went to Aldi today to pick up some usual items. I saw these things and had to get them all. They were marked down heavily. Not pictured is the almonds, but with a pumpkin spice coating. I got all three.

Saw these today too. Let me know how they are.

Sent some noodz to The Solution and got these golden nuggets of deliciousness in return

Great sweetness and crunch but not hard like some inferior caramel corns you find at the store. I did not bite into one kernel either.

A+

Just saw this today, but didn't grab any. I thought they may have been around for a while, but could be "new" at major chain grocery stores.

Rating: 5 out of 10
Pros: Box-o-carbs. Tangy. Crunchy. Slightly “frooty.” Great with milk. Better with vanilla ice cream. Nap pods. Nuclear-powered Lite Brites. Unleash your inner bobsledder!

Cons: Box-o-carbs. Tough to decipher raspberry flavor. Corny-cereal qualities dull “frootiness.” Consequences that result in absence of nap pods.

This cereal might be a hit with Fruity Pebbles fans, as the flavor is strikingly similar. For those looking for a new flavor experience, I'd recommend just sniffing this one and buying something different.

Unidentified Flavors Rating: 5.5 out of 10
Overall Rating: 4 out of 10

The problem is more so with the artificially sweet aftertaste that is admittedly expected.

will give Post some credit for invoking the flavors of a sherbet, but I am not sure why anyone would want to eat Ice Cream Pebbles instead of the far-superior Fruity Pebbles. Without the cool sensation of actual sherbet, the flavors are just not that appealing and don’t really click for me as a cereal

This peaked my interest. Nasty as hell. Never again.

Pepperidge Farm suing Trader Joe's over resemblance of it's Milano cookies

Pepperidge Farm has filed a lawsuit against Trader Joe's, accusing the chain of infringing on its trademark by selling a cookie that has a striking resemblance to PF's Milano cookies.

In the complaint filed Wednesday, Pepperidge Farm alleges that by selling a product called Crispy Cookies, Trader Joe's is damaging its goodwill and confusing shoppers, according to Reuters.

If you have these in your local grocery store I highly recommend picking a box up.

Traditional pumpkin spice cake taste and some big satisfaction when you bite into the middle. Something wonderful happens when you get that mixed spice cake and cream filling combo. Good job hostess!

Here is the million dollar question, was the cake portion dry? That is the only problem I find with any of these products. From any brand.

No but don't expect premium moist cake. It was "okay " in that regard. Not "I need milk with this " dry. Very enjoyable

Grabbed both seasonal burgers to give these a shot,

The Jolly Burger:

Buns were great, prefer to others available on standard burgers. Patty was underwhelming, just a single 1/4 pounder on this got buried under the taste of the melted white cheddar which was actually decent for a chain restaurant. No complaints on the toppings, peppercorn sauce tasted like a gravy to me with peppercorns, which accomplished making the experience more "festive"

At 5.49 for just the burger I say it is worth it but just once/year for that one festive experience to switch it up for the season.
Otherwise I could have enjoyed some McDoubles about as much, for far less.
If this had another taste going for it than just peppercorn, it may have been an A, but as is I'd leave it a B-

Chicken Celebration:

My gf had this one, agrees with me on the buns being above par. Loved the sauce on it but the chicken itself was standard, but the white cheddar made up for any other lackings as it was decent for a chain experience.

B+ from her on this, would buy again but probably not worth the increased price vs. Others
