My point exactly. Something does not = Everything in sight.
They don't care if you eat till you sit on a couch feeling like you want to be the next walking dead.
What is more important seeing those relatives or eating till you are stuffed stupid. Is it important to just sit there and put the food in priority over your family? What happens if you don't get to see those people next year and instead of actually talking or associating yourself with your family all you care about is showing up and eating? Shows both sides of the coin as far as balance goes. Not everyone's family is concerned about eating till you want to throw up.
But again the world has seemed to turn its perspective on holidays. Where people deem holidays reasons to eat everything in their site and go on binge sprees.
Must be why we are so damn obese. Thanksgiving wasn't made as a holiday to eat copious amounts of food or go on eating sprees's: other examples...
Hey its saint patricks day lets go drink 24 green beers to celebrate.
Oh its christmas lets go eat 3 dozen cookies because Santa said so.
Its valentines day, lets go eat a box of chocolate
