What's shipleys? Like a dunkin donuts type place?
Yeah, just a donut place they have kolaches too but they are not anything special. Their donuts on the other hand stay a little softer, and the glaze is a little thicker, and if the donut is even slightly warm it is a little gooey. I think they have the best glazed donuts around, or used too anyway. I haven't been to one in forever now.
Bro Timmy’s is way better than Dunkin. We have Dunkin all over in IL and I don’t even bother with that place.

I guess if you like the sweet/flavored iced coffee game, Dunkin has that on lock. But as far as being a standardized donut chain, Tim’s gets my vote.
Agreed, Dunkin has become a coffee chain that also carries donuts. A lot of people like Crispy Cream too, but I am not a big fan. I think I have had some Tim Horton's once when traveling or they were at a grocery store so not directly from the donut shop itself. Donut-wise I used to be a regular donut guy, but I prefer the old fashioned donuts now, especially the ones with the chocolate icing.

Dunkin’ has gone WAAAAAYYYY down in the last 10 or so yrs. Maybe longer. Basically when they stopped making donuts at each location was the beginning of the end. They r trying to compete w Starbee’s. Stick w what u know. In my area they abolished the ham and cheese croissants. Like wtf. But they wanna make cronuts which area bastard pastry anyway.
Wish I could “head on down to Timmy’s eh grab me a large double double”
I watched a lot of Trailer Park Boys and the cops always said that.

I'm a fan of dunking coffee but I do a large with 2 cream and no sugar. There doughnuts are.... OK, a dunkin Boston cream is my favorite Boston cream but the rest I don't care for. We got a crispy Kreme too but I think there coffee taste like acid. And there glazed doughnuts are great but the rest no thanks. I'm weird. I don't really have favorite places, I have favorite items

I know everyone thinks that here in Cali your born with a Starbucks cup un your hand but I absolutely hate that place and everything in it (except for the hot barista girls) the coffee sucks and the "food" is disgusting. And I don't know which is more overpriced, gas or Starbucks, or maybe real primo 😂

I’ll give you that, I mean it’s decent. I was never disappointed really on those.

To echo Smont, Krispy Kreme’s coffee does suck. Dunkin’s is much smoother; it’s more like just something they have to offer I guess. But KK is my favorite chain doughnut, both glazed and filled, but they’re kind of their own animal - a separate doughnut species unlike the rest. Love ‘em or hate em.

You know, in this entire 40lb bulk, I have not went to any doughnut chain. Zero desire. Hard enough to get any other food in. Doughnuts are only something attractive to me in a caloric deficit basically.

Yeah, I have kind of outgrown them, even when the wife and kids do donuts I always get an all the meats croissant sandwich, or jumbo jalapeno kolache. Occasionally I have them get me 1 of the old fashioned chocolate dipped ones.

Unless it's a Boston cream :)
This used to be my favorite as a kid, but I realized I prefer the fluffy white angel cream filling instead (still with chocolate icing).

I’ve also gained an immense appreciation for iced jelly-filled varieties. Once in a blue moon the wife & I will order a Casey’s breakfast pizza on a weekend morning if we’re both home, and we like to get chocolate raspberry-filled from there as well.

Anyone interested in a full day of eating? I'm cleaning out the fridge today and just eating whatever I want to get rid of stuff. Tomorrow i shop and prep and Monday I start back on my diet.

Breakfast was made from what's kicking around

I don't really need to be careful with calories because I'm doing so much activity and training that I'm holding 195-196 for the past few days on 4000 calories lol but I'm going back to around 3000 with mostly meat, rice, fruit and fat free Greek yogurt. Little bit of protein powder and oats or cereals. I wanna be like 185 the week before so that I can take it easy for a few days before the projected match and eat normal and be well hydrated. So IL have a few lbs to spare as I'm not active on those last few days.

Yesterday was a bad day but I got a quick session in. 3 rounds on the heavy bag with 24oz gloves, 3 rounds on a smaller heavy bag with just my wraps and no gloves. I wanted to get 6 rounds and those big ass gloves burned out my shoulders quick!

I'm gonna take pictures all day and search the macros and IL post them a little bit later in the day.

First gym session down.

4 × 3min rounds with 30sec rest between. Jump rope, weighted shadow boxing, jumping rope, weighted shadow boxing.

2 × 3min rounds 30sec rest with 24oz gloves on the heavy bag

2 more rounds with 16oz gloves

1 round of all straight rights and body shots, all power shots

Where did you try the Krispy Kreme doughnuts at? If they were from a grocery store then that’s no comparison to the fresh ones from an actual KK shop. Their original store is in my hometown.

Oh know, I have had them several times, we used to have several around here and people always brought them or wanted to go to them. They are good just not my favorite or near the top for me. I think it's like Hyde said they are kind of polarizing. Since we already know I like the gooeyness of shipleys the best it makes sense a crispy type of glaze wouldn't be super high on my list. Nothing against them just my preferences.

@Smont I know you and a couple others in here mentioned following if I did a road to competition log so I am dropping this here for you all.

I was gonna wait till tonight but I'm working on some good stuff!

It was a shitty year for tomatoes so I took the last from the garden that were all starting to split and all the frozen ones (I froze a lot of the ones that weren't good for slicing) and cooked them down and strained them to make a tomato soup and because I don't need 3 gallons of soup I made tomatoes juice concentrated

30533446643061~2.jpeg

Had a 1.8lb pork tenderloin that had 2 days left to cook and its gonna get grilled but I covered it with salt, pepper, garlic, lemon zest and breadcrumbs
20230930_163237~2.jpg

This will be meal 3, pork tenderloin with rice and tomato soup.

Would you guys eat the soup as is or put the rice in the soup and serve the pork on the side?

I got no kids tonight too, so I'm probably gonna take my girl for ice cream and see if I can get her in the mood so I can pin the last 3mg of that pt-141 and leave her bedridden tomorrow 😆 it really cuts down the time in-between.

I also got a bottle of avanifil, I don't think I ever tried that, might go for the porn stack tonight, hopefully she's game or I'm gonna be beating my dyk against the shower tiles for 4 hours 😅 😳 🤔 😬

You and your yellow dye no.5 rice
It's funny, I haven't made the yellow rice in about 2 months and i was gonna say hydes favoriteyellow rice lol, but there's no dye in this rice, it's saffron garlic and cilantro. The saffron is definitely not high quality because the restaurant saffron I use to get made the rice more orange.

If I was a youtuber, I would have got no likes for yesterday's video lol. The day was going good but I was jamming all day. Daughter had a camping trip I had to drop her off, then my niece had to go home which I had to bring her, my son had his sophomore homecoming and I crashed out hard. Woke up at 3am and had a protein shake over lucky charms and peanut and strawberry jam on some of my nieces freezer waffles lol.

When I get out of work today IL try to get the other meals and all the macros up. Should only be about 3500 cal to be honest

Don't know why just not a big fan of pork tenderloin or pork chops. My parents grill one every weekend pretty much scince they've cut down on their red meat consumption. I mean it's okay, I like it with grilled veggies and grilled pineapple with a sort if teriyaki sauce on the side so it's like a Hawaii type meal.

I w you Mikey. I’ll get down w pork but not my “go to” protein. I only have a taste for it if it is on point. Steak seems to have a greater margin for error when preparing it. It’s like sex, might not be the best you have ever had but still good to have.

Could be the flavor, could be the cook. I get all my pork loin or chops cooked medium now and it is a game changer. Things went from bland and dry to flavorful and juicy! People don't realize it is damn near impossible to get trichinosis in the US with the FDA and swine feeding rules. So you don't have to cook it into leather to avoid illness with it.

I would have agreed with this till about a year ago when I finally learned how to cook pork right. You really have to pull it off the heat almost exactly between medium rare and medium. Like 140° and let it sit for 10min

Should be true medium and juicy still. Once it hits medium well it drys out.

Steak is definitely the most room for error because if the quality is on point you can eat it damn near raw and its still juicy up to medium. If my steak goes past medium I need a sauce or something on it.

I'd still take a steak over any other cut of meat or fish, cost is the reason I opt for pork and chicken breast a lot.

I just picked up 4 lbs ground turkey, 4 lbs lean beef (says sirloin but looks like London broil to me. But on sale $4.29lb I had to say yes lol. 10lbs chicken breast and a few more pork tenderloin

I did come across $1.88lb chicken breast and I went to pick up 20lbs and it was a scam, they put a ton of extra liquid in every package, there swimming in it. I said no thanks and I bought 1 small package to test it out. I was right.

2.89lbs package, not the meat, the whole package, I drained the liquid and it's 2.21lbs, then I removed it from the pack, rinsed the meat and patted it dry and it's 1.92 lbs. A whole pound of liquid and packaging. Not to mention it will loose about 20% more weight when it gets cooked. Fukin scumbags lol

Been getting Kroger’s store brand organic black beans for a couple years now. We were out and at Walmart for other stuff so grabbed a couple cans of regular black beans. I was amazed how little fluid I drained from the basic Walmart ones, and how much more actual beans there were in the can.

The water manipulation to adjust profit instead of the price tag was really obvious on Kroger’s part.

Let's try this again lol

5 whole eggs, 1 cup rice, 3 serv. Ketchup and......
4 cups of coffee, had 2 regular and 1 decaf while cleaning and running to the store and a 4th with meal 1. So about 3/4cup half and half total. That's it for caffeine today lol.

20231001_104755~2.jpg

I'm gonna keep eyeballing condiments that are lower calories, after I prep today IL worry about details but the "diet" isint so much about weight loss as it is gut health and feeling good/performance/ect., eggs will be making a exit this week as well as most dairy.

Yeah, you really have to watch out for what you are getting now. Be vigilant on checking serving size and servings per can or you will get hosed.

Same with cleaning supplies and stuff. You see lots of stuff that might say..... now in our new 32oz bottle, great, but the old bottle was 36oz and same price
