Like discussed before, forums have started going the way of the Dodo unfortunately. Many of us that are here are 30+ and therefore remember the good old days. Younger people dont have the attention span of forums.
There are a few other things one can do to build a community and get more interactions. But unfortunately they all require work.
- Facebook groups work. But again its mostly the "older" crowd, as younger have moved on to other platforms.
- Discord seems to be the new hotness. This requires a couple of moderator and a constant information flow as it can move really fast.
- Reddit, yeah i know. But you get a lot of activity if run right.
- A newsletter one can sign up for. This does require you to push people on to you site though.
- Instagram and TikTok are where you get new customers. Its just how it is now.
I wish the quality of your products could speak for themselves and they do when people find out about them. But its that first step that requires the most work and unfortunately that also the one that costs the most.
