Swol and Boone's Quest To Get Hyooooge

Finally settled in in my new apartment and getting acquainted with the area. Crushed some serious Hugh quality sushi last night after a great back day. Got a 3 day guest pass to try out the LA FItness near me and after two days I'm very happy. It's not crowded at all even this time of year which was very surprising. Also I get a discount through work so I'll prob join as I can use this at any location too. Today was leg day which went really well too except for the weird ass Indian couple that stole my calf machine between sets. Idiots. Absolutely loving all the hammer strength equipment as well as just generally nice machine ha.

Cooking and eating like a king today pwo. Gonna set up all my home gym stuff tomorrow I think which should be entertaining.
 
how much stuff you got for your home gym? Pics?
a power rack, bench/leg curl & ext, treadmill, air dyne bike, changeable plate db's that go up to 100lb ea. there's pics somewhere in this thread from when it was in my basement but right now it's just in a pile of disassembled pieces in my apartment "dining room" ha
 
no I meant the new ones. Rd velvet was ok but not in my top ones. I like vanilla ish favors best.

Oh lol. Haven't tried new ones but would be down to try cinnamon roll
 
Off day today. Slept in and going to work later this afternoon and then relax a bit. Calories are up to 3000 or more the last few days. Gonna really hit the gym hard the rest of this week and eat my face off before starting to slowly diet on Monday. Def gonna do a buffet (maybe Golden Corral) Friday or sat. Maybe both ha.

Weight this morn was 199.1 so I'm close to my 200. Will hit it for sure this week

eh it's more for mental enjoyment. I'll hit 200 either way but would love to have a last hurrah. A couple meals won't do much harm at this stage anyways and I'll drop half the weight the first week

I'm open to suggestions. I have no clue what's around since I just moved so I'm open to looking for something if people have ideas.

Where did you move too? If I'm gonna do buffet style I love to hit up a brunch. Check yelp/Facebook for places in your area that might have em.

if I had a partner this would be it for sure! Unfortunately the two people in my group that are in the office this week are a 110lb 50yrbold German lady who eats like 4oz of soup for her entire day's meal and a 95lb girl who I'm not sure eats at all ha.
 
Been testing out my new setup with a dead day (back), bench day (chest/tri), squat (legs), and tomorrow OHP (shoulders/bis). Also been trying out the la fitnesses near me and seeing the differences in crowds and equipment. Cannot say enough how much I hate the people there (both working out and working) but the equipment is great. I feel like I'll be able to make some new gainz based on having new machines and methods to work in ways I haven't before. Really exciting.

Also I once again have access to my favorite cardio machine - a rowing machine. Never in use, one of the hardest and full body workouts. Love it. Also there's a prowler at one of the gyms which I've been dying to try for years now.

Last couple days bulking for me and honestly I'm ready/excited to start cutting down a bit. Definitely not going as long or anything like last year but would like to get down to 10% or so.

the prowler is an absolute killer! And yeah commercial gym people are pretty interesting haha

i haven't updated in a bit, but sitting between 155 and 156. will prob bump another 100 kcals on tuesday but my workouts have been on point! starting to see the middle of my back thicken a bit so i'm happy. 22 lbs in about 24 weeks

I love it. It was the only cardio machine I ever used in college. There could be a 45min wait for the rest of the equipment (which was like 100 pieces ha) but there was never more then one other person using either of the two rowing machines. My roommate and I even went to practice with the psu crew team a few times and holy hell those guys are insane. They would row so hard and so fast that 3 big ass dudes had to hold the machines down to keep them from literally sliding then across the room while rowing. The races they had with each other were crazy.

60 lbs in this thread, wow! Nice work gents! And I agree on the row machine, I hit it up at least once a week.
 
i'll be doing 6 week progress pictures shortly.. maybe a 24 week comparison as well

i'm very happy though. particularly so that i've kept some leanness while eating over 380g of carbs a day. so close to 160!

soon that 160 will be a thing of the past and 180 will be the new goal 8)

you live in the south now
go outside and push a car.
 
you dont need to steer the car, park it in a parking lot, put into neutral and push it forward. it will go straight, you wont hurt anyone. if you do 5-7 intervals you wont push it far believe me.

Norton has a few youtube videos of him just going to a park and doing it. Nobody around, aint gonna harm anyone.
 
200.0lb this morning haha. Buffet today to ensure gains are made.

Giant homemade Stromboli for the super bowl tomorrow to solidify the gainz.
 
One of 11 plates at Golden Corral. Never again ha. With the exception of a few things, that was one of the grosser meals I've ever eaten. Just felt like I ate lard on everything. Might have eaten someone's child at some point too as the were crawling everywhere.

That said, the skillet cornbread and baked catfish were both awesome.

Did they have grilled Pineapple? I went when they had all you can eat sirlion and they had a spear with grilled pineapple with cinnamon on it

oh man ha I did. I was skeptical when I saw the excessive carrot decoration in icing on top but it was great. Lots of big chunks of shreds in there which I like. Great texture. And the cream cheese icing wasn't overly sweet which is key.

No luck on the pineapple. The only fruit they even had was canned fruit salad. I was bummed about the steak and ribs. Both were way dry and flavorless. Best thing I had was prob the baked catfish or skillet cornbread.
