Did bobs deadlift tri set yesterday and WOW. That was brutal. I added some accessory work after but it was all light weight pump work. Back was totally exhausted and hamstrings a bit too.

Went in for my last workout at my gym today and decided to do legs. Was gonna use my normal layout but I only really wanted to squat and was a bit short on time so I decided to go for 30min of as many reps and sets as possible of a squat/sldl superset. Just back and forth over and over. Adding weights to the squats up to 275 and then a few sets at 225 and a few more at 135 then a nice leg press finale of 5 sets at a light 270 for burnout.

Road tripping it all day tomorrow and then it's all atlanta for the foreseeable future. Gonna be in town for the first 2 weeks guaranteed and maybe 4 before I start traveling around so I will get some time to settle in and find a new gym and routine.

Trader joes .2mi from my apartment. Try not to be too jealous ;)

Arrived in Atlanta and went straight to the most hyped bbq joint around. It's called 'cue and it was bangin. Simple but great. I had ribs for an app and then the combo pulled pork and beef brisket with Mac and cheese.
image-1507533676.jpg

Also found and bought all 3 of the new b&j core flavors. It was in some random Walmart in the middle of Virginia ha. Put them in my apt freezer so I won't get to try them until tomorrow.

Took yesterday off, as I went food shopping for my parents and slipped on ice and hit my head where I fractured my skull when I was younger. Definitely have a concussion, as I'm more susceptible to them. Have a bruise the size of about two quarters on my cheek as well, but hey, could be worse!

Today's workout was mainly higher volume in legs. The super set of squats to hex bar squats were brutal. I've never had a leg pump like today and it was amazing. All the hamstring work was great too, and I'm noticing I'm getting stronger in that area. Since I had a minor headache I also didn't want to squat heavy or do anything where I might aggravate it even more.

Weight: 153

Legs

4x8 Ham Curls
* drop to Single leg for 12 with hard flex

3x8 Stiff Leg DL
225x8 for 3, personal best for me. Anything heavier and I don't feel it in my hams.

Pyramid BB Squats > x10 Hex Bar Squat
*hex squats 2s isometric and a quick concentric

135x12 > 135x10 for two
155x10 > 135x10 for two
185x8 > 135x10 for two
225x7 > 135x10 for one
135x12 > 135x15 for two

And I'm shot...

4x8 Leg Extensions
* drop set to Single Leg for 12 with hard flex

3x10 Hip Abduction

Calves & Core

The explosiveness of the hex bar dead squats really is nice. It's a good change of pace from squatting heavy all the time and saves my knee some trouble.

Fck dude... There was no pressure on your skull while doing squats? A few times I've hit my head in the rack and then done squats and wanted to shoot someone from the pressure.

If you have the funds, grab some BPC-157 from any RC site (pm me for my source), reconstitute it and spray it via the needle on your wound. Should heel up quick.

Ah its all good. Just a little black and blue. As for the pressure nah I was good. And if I got bad I was gonna leave.

Nothing is as bad as the 3-4 months post fractured skull. Like a migraine 24/7.. That was awful

Nah man blessed to be alive. I was hit by a car and was inches away from dying. My head could have hit a parked cars tail pipe after i flew off the one that hit me. So many things could have went wrong or been worse so I consider myself lucky.

Everyday I wake up is a blessing because you never know when it'll be gone. So everyday I strive to do every task to the best of my ability no matter how small. It really made me mature quickly and tbh, ive learned so much from it I wouldn't have it any other way at this point.

Crazy stuff man. I'm not gonna miss that ice. Hope you're alright. Concussions are nothing to mess with. I had one from hockey that had me throwing up for like 6hrs and sensitive to light for almost two days.

It's crazy how each one can be different. I was more sensitive to sound for this one, previous one's light had me freaking out. Feel much much better, but have to go see a Dr. for an obligatory follow up on the skull thing. Mandatory for each time I hit my head from the previous accident, but it's just routine protocol. I feel 10x better, I'm good to go

better than getting run over by a division 1 fullback that went to wisconsin on a full ride playing football in high school
Played the state champs from Ohio at the time (Colerin) where AJ Hawk went to high school
was a LONG game until i got blacked out.

Cracked 155 this morning! So that's 20 lbs since I started and can still see a faint 4-6 pack in the morning!

Sucks that I carry most of my fat in my stomach and love handle area, but that is life. I feel like my back is what's grown the best

if you are lean everywhere else it just goes to show you cant win them all, we are all different, but if you are still holding lean, still seeing strength gains why fix what aint broken. 160 prob look great on you if not a bit more. Breezy will keep it in control.

Im in the same boat at you swol; store the majority of my fat in the "lower ring" as i call it! Low abs and low back/obliques! Also i have a tad of loose skin so that makes me look a tad fatter than usual!

count me in as well. Lower top half and chest for me. Arms stay nice and vascular until I have a pregnant belly ha. Legs are never tho for me which sucks. I can hardly fit my ass and thighs in jeans even when they're three sizes too big in the waist but no matter how lean I am my leg definition blows

Lol my dad is about 40 lbs overweight and has quad veins and crazy calves. Luckily genetically I got that the big calves and shredded legs, but got his tendency to store fat in the stomach too lol

Depending on the season my dad can be leaner than me.

He lives off of tuna, chicken, and trimmed red meats just because thats what he likes lol, and working a trade helps

It's crazy how selective intelligence is.
My wife barely got into college and hated science but once she was there she breezed through 4 years of medical and veterinary classes top of class

My parents are polar opposites (prob why theyre divorced ha). Mom is totally social and literate and such, but cant read a map and cries when she has to look at assembly instructions for anything, even like a 2 piece thing. Dad is awkward socially and cant spell or do any type of public speaking but is technically brilliant.

Luckily my sister and I got a decent mix of both but we do lean harder to one, me being technical and my sis being social. Fortunately for me, technical means more $$$$$ haha

Weighed in finally this morning. 197.6 lb which was much lower then I expected given the type and amount of food I ate while traveling and such during the move. That said, I'm determined to hit 200 this week so I'll be hitting an LA fitness for a wicked pull workout tonight, legs tomorrow, and push sunday and at least 1 buffet (prob sushi) over the weekend and then another later next week. Gonna start dieting down a bit come February so that I can be in better shape for wedding/vacation time starting at the end of April.
