Supplements You Swear By (Please Share)

If somebody made up their mind to spend an extra $100 a month on supplements, on top of the usuals (protein,creatine, multi-vitamin, ECA, ect.), what would you reccomend? What are some of your "secret" supplements, and what do you get from them in terms of results? I'd prefer actual ingredients vs. Brand Name products, but really whatever you got. And if you got a few, rank them in terms of which you wouldn't want to give up. No PH's or AAS (I know that sounds odd coming from me of all people, but I do eventually wanna be "clean" for a while, and I'm trying to get some input. :hammer: )

I'll start.

CEE - Great stuff, kicks the **** out of Creatine Monohydrate. Increased vascularity, pumps, muscle endurance. Minimal bloat. I think everyone should try this at least once.

Here is some old school for you... a combo of 200mcg chromium pic. and 15mg of vanadyl sulfate first thing in tha morning with breakfast and w/ post-workout solids.

Another good one is my Alpha GPC and ALCAR stack.

Flame all you want but ZMASS (the brand, zma didn't do much), worked wonders for strength gains and kept me lean.

Come to think, I tried that back when I was 17 or 18, and it gave me hella acne. Must have been doing something good for that to happen.
 
ALCAR 1-2g/day very cheap in bulk

Sesathin by Avant Labs. This is one supplement I'll be using year round

Toad, how is the Alpha GPC working out for you/how long have you been taking it? Just curious as I just ordered some in bulk powder for my wife for specific reasons. What dosage are you taking? Thanks...
 
Yeah, fish oils have a whole slew of benefits...and not just for fitness purposes but also for general health. Always a good idea and safe bet.
 
ZMA gave me crazy lucid dreams and out of body experiences. No acne or anything like that. So it was cool for the dreams, and I supposed the deeper sleep > possibly better muscle growth enviroment.

I'm suprised no one has said ephedra yet. Ephedra with caffeine and aspirin make a killer thermo-fat burner. I used it a while to shed some pounds and I swear by it.

Flaxseed Oil. Ok, so I don't use it or anything, but I read an article on bb.com about how it helps with joint soreness. My mom has arthritis, and I suggested she use 3 tablespoons a day. She loves this stuff and says it works better than anything else shes ever used for her artritis. I should probably use it too, because I train in brazilian jiu jitsu.

Thats all I can think of right now. CEE is probably going to be very good, but I sorta just started and as of now, v12 (nonturbo) was better for pumps/gains. I'm sure in some time CEE will exceed it though, because people at bb.com report its working better than v12.

Well, I don't have much to compare it to but each are capped at 350 mg in tha big caps (I think 00, but I could be wrong as a friend did it for me). I take this 3x a day, so just over a gram of each.

I've been using this now for a little over 2 weeks. The only thing I can really tell is that I don't feel like I could fall asleep at any moment at work, or even take my normal mid-day naps. This is while only getting 6-7 hrs of sleep a night.

I've never tried Go or Neuro-stim but I'd like too. I've only used this because I was trying to find one last alternative to PH before jumping headfirst.

I still got a few years to catch up to you before I make my million ;). Plus I raised my right hand and swore to Uncle Sam that for 5 years I would be poor, and like it. :frustrate
 
Thanks Toad...I am going to be ordering some soon and the comment you made aobut not wanting to fall asleep is something I'm hoping to get out of it.

My stomach is never fully empty so it seems if that is any indication, lol.

I will say this however, my last dose is never just before bed. Its usually post workout which is approx 3.5 hrs before my bedtime. I've done this because it was not only recommended by VC over at Avant, but my own experience... it tends to wire me before bed and this makes sense since it seems to make you more alert throughout tha day. So just a word of caution. :)

I'm a big fan of 4+ grams a day of vit C. Definately has kept me from getting seriously sick this year at college (always happens at least once when you get back...well, knock on wood so far) and I'm convinced it had something to do with my quick mono recovery (I was free of symptoms after 2 weeks...normal mono lasts 1-6 months...and I had really NASTY symptoms).

I'm also a big fan of ephedrine/caffeine, especially since my appetite can get really out of control at college.

ALCAR/ALA also work for me as well when I need some mental acuity.
 
My expirence with supplements

Micronized creatine the best creatine hsc by ast

vp2 protein by ast

biotest tribex - i saw increased strength

nac,ala-by ast

flax oil and fish oil,,natural efa's-when i started adding these i gained more muscle

glucasamine ,chrontriton-these worked wonders for my joints

shaklee mutivitiman-shaklee offers only pure ingredidents most vitamans have chemicals in them...put your multi in a oven for 15 minutes and see if it has dark coal spots on it ,,,if it does that it has chemicals in it which are not good for your body.after i started taking shaklee i felt better mentally physically,emotionally

thats all folks

p.s. no im not a salesman for any of these companys i posted what works and i beleive they have worked

Vanadyl is the real deal, but it takes 100-150mg to feel it. Very effective insulin booster and muscle hardener.
 
V-12 is my favorite legal supplement by far. Its the only creatine/cell volumizer type of product that really makes me gain strength alot faster than regular. Also I like insulin alot and its sort of legal.lol
 
Suprised nobody said glutamine. Helps bigtime with recovery. Melotonin is great for sleepless nights and glucosamine is a must have the older I get.

Swole v.2 really worked for me. Mainly the endurance increases...I coundn't believe it. Most of the benefits were realized when on a cut cycle...really increased my endurance when running, and kept my legs from getting tired which is an issue when I'm doing the low cal thing.
