Stacking beta alanine

I'm currently taking the new jack3d and I know it contains a little bit of beta alanine but I hardly feel the tingles. I was wanting to add a little bit more of beta alanine to my pwo but I don't know how much beta alanine is too much

Yiu do realize that the tibgling sensation is NOT a sign of the BA working but a sign that you have taken too much BA (or more than your used to). In other words, BA will still work to buffer lactic acid despite the lack of tingling sensation

When I started to use iForce BETA ALANINE 3000 I was told that I should start with the recommended dose and continue adding until I feel the tingles. Once I start to feel them, back off a scoop or two.

This - and also no need to take it all pre-workout.

I used to get tingling all over and now it's little to nothing

I wack a teaspoon to all my pre workout drinks

Beta Alanine is not inherently "pre-workout", it is like creatine in the sense that i can be taken at any time of the day.

yea this. but i still take it pre workout anyway. notice a big difference in strength when i use creature pre workout vs when i just use it post workout and morning. i dont know why but i can deffs tell same with beta-alanine

It should be safe to add 1-2g per serving to your PWo if you would like to. I think that's fine. How have your results been using this product? I may have another one to suggest to you for better results. I can send you samples just send me a message.

If you enjoy the tingling feeling, just gradually add more 500mg at a time until you start feeling it. Just know that you in no way need to feel the tingling for it to be working, and beta alanine is an over time performance enhance and not something acute you'll see benefit from immediately. While the tingling feeling might be a little intense for some, you're not really at too much risk of adverse effect by taking more until you feel it.

If you buy a big tub of Invalid Link Removed[/b] capsules and add 3 (2.25g) to your preworkout you're looking at about $.20 cents/workout at nutraplanet's price.

You learn fast my young apprentice. The SNSorce is strong in you!

Tingles are on and off for me. Depends on the day I would guess, even if I'm taking the same BA @ the same dose (currently using bulk BA from Ai). I wouldn't gauge effectiveness based off of the BA tingles.

The big thing to remember is that it should be taken everyday not just with prework out. It continues to increase in effectiveness for at least 80 days ( longest study I've seen ) but probly even longer after that it just a matter of maintaining blood levels

I don't think that it works be increasing it's effectiveness as use continues. BA as I understand it essentially needs to reach saturation (carnosine levels) in the body for it to become effective (a lot like how you would want to reach saturation and stay saturated with creatine). So once you reach saturation with BA, you're just continually taking it to maintain that saturation.

Here is a excerp from the article I was thinking of

A researcher, Dr. Roger Harris, believes β-alanine can double the buffering capacity within your muscles. This is a huge statement with big implications for every type of athlete.Dr. Harris proved his theory in a study he conducted where he reported a monstrous 64% rise in muscle Invalid Link Removed levels after just 4 weeks of daily β-alanine supplementation. Subsequent studies confirmed his results with one study showing that after 10 weeks, muscle carnosine increased by an average of more than 80%!

Yeah, which basically means that reaching saturation with BA is essentially reaching saturation/optimization of carnosine levels (BA is used to produce more carnosine). Thus you don't really get increased effects from increased usage but rather you optimize carnosine levels by saturating your body with BA and then keeping that saturation via daily maintenance dosing of BA ;)

I never commented on dosage. I was just pointing out to OP that it is still increasing carnosine level even after 10 wk I've never found a study that states when saturation occurs so not to quit after a week of taking it or dose it intermitingly because he won't get the full effect

I recall it taking a really long time for saturation to build up, much longer than creatine saturation. One would think that there is a rate limiting factor in play somewhere down the line so there has to be a limit to how much ones carnosine store can fill to. So the general rule of thumb here is to essentially treat supplementation of BA like one would treat supplementation of creatine I believe (the BA is really just components to create more carnosine with, that's why one supplements with it).

Note that the study you've cited notes the increase at 4 weeks and then 10 weeks. That 80% increase could very well have occurred in the 5th or 6th week for all we know. Do you have a link to the study? Would be interesting to see if they tested carnosine levels at each week of supplementation.

It was quote in an article on bodybuilding dot com I didn't look up the reference but I think they would have stated if they check levels every week and the hadn't changed for several.

Or they could have checked at 4 weeks and then again at 10 weeks. You'd be surprised at how some of these tests are structured.

I took 6.4g throughout the day but noticed no difference in performance/gains compared to normal dose of 3.2g so I stick with that. I spread it out, I hate those tingles...

I'll be honest if I want bulk ingredients I usually go SNS. I've got SNS MCC, BA, X-gels, Agmatine, RK, and ALCAR caps at home. You wouldn't believe all the empty SNS tubs I have either Focus XT, Cit-Mal, etc.

SNS, iForce, and Controlled Labs tend to cover everything I need pretty well between the three of them.

If you've got loads of SNS tubs, make sure you're taking advantage of Invalid Link Removed

My sweet spot is at about 2 teaspoons of Beta Alanine 3000 by iForce. I dont like severe tingles but a little is okay
