Learn More About Curcumin & the Theracurmin® Advantage:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
With the popularity of turmeric/curcumin supplements on the rise, it’s important to understand what makes the ingredient effective and the difference between the different types.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What is Curcumin?
Curcumin is found naturally occurring in turmeric and is the active constituent that is responsible for many of its health benefits including natural pain relief and anti-inflammatory support, improved joint comfort and mobility, improved cognitive health, and much more.

Unfortunately, curcumin is hard for the body to absorb. This will be discussed more in depth below along with how Theracurmin® overcomes curcumin’s poor oral bioavailability.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
History of Curcumin:
Curcumin has been used for centuries in both Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurvedic medicine. It has been sold in dietary supplements in the US for a long time but really emerged as a subject of interest when a study was published in 2000 that compared the onset of cognitive decline in people in the USA with people in India. The study found that people from a particular region in Northern India had 75% lower cognitive decline compared with people from a US town in Pennsylvania. The difference? Curcumin’s use in traditional Indian medicine and the consumption of yellow curry dishes containing turmeric, where curcumin exists in high levels.

In the study mentioned above, participants in Northern India frequently ate yellow curry so curcumin was delivered in a usable amount through dietary intake. In the US, it is not common for Americans to eat large amounts of curcumin regularly and extracting curcumin for use in pill or capsules at the time of the study required a huge dose simply because the body doesn’t easily absorb curcumin. In other words, while curcumin has some amazing potential health benefits, the average American doesn’t consume enough of it and the body simply cannot make efficient use of it before it is excreted from the body. This is called bioavailability – hence, it being said that low bioavailability is a common problem with most curcumin supplements.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Bioavailability Problem with Curcumin:
As discussed above, when consumed orally, the absorption (bioavailability) of regular curcumin is quite poor. The reason is that curcumin is relatively insoluble in water and is rapidly transformed and excreted from the body. Poor absorption/low bioavailability is one of the reasons that not all clinical studies have shown regular curcumin to be effective even when extremely large dosages were given.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How Theracurmin® Solves the Bioavailability Problem:
To tackle the bioavailability of curcumin, researchers incorporated nanotechnology into their approach. Nanotechnology is the scientific process of reducing the particle size of compounds often as much as one hundred times. Theracurmin® is finely milled in a colloidal suspension with glycerin and gum ghatti, a complex polysaccharide derived from the sap of the ghatti tree. The emulsifying properties of the gum ghatti give Theracurmin® excellent stability and solubility, dramatically enhancing bioavailability to increase curcumin levels in the blood.

Studies on Theracurmin® have shown that Theracurmin® is 27 times more bioavailable than standard curcumin and is a significantly more effective form of curcumin than normal curcumin supplements.

This improved absorption with Theracurmin® is extremely important because it allows Theracurmin® to more effectively deliver the awesome potential benefits that curcumin has to offer.

Whether you take curcumin for your liver, brain, heart, joints, or all of these plus more, you should consider high absorption Theracurmin®. With its superior bioavailability, it gives you more of what you take curcumin for.

In addition to Theracurmin®’s already enhanced bioavailability, SNS Theracurmin® XT takes it a step further by combining it with two clinically researched, patented absorption enhancers – Bioperine® and AstraGin®.

Examining the Potential Benefits:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Curcumin has been so widely researched and has such a wide variety of benefits that entire articles could be written detailing the vast potential benefits of this incredible ingredient.

For the sake of time and readability, this write-up will give an abbreviated overview of some of the most commonly discussed and popular ones.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Anti-Inflammatory Support:
Curcumin is well-known and well-researched for its potential anti-inflammatory properties.

Curcumin has a long history of use in Ayurvedic medicine and may have more studies on it than any other herb for its potential anti-inflammatory benefits. People most commonly associate Curcumin’s potential anti-inflammatory benefits with just joint health but it is also commonly used for and has been researched for its potential whole body anti-inflammatory benefits.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Joint Health & Mobility Support:
Curcumin is one of the most popular joint health ingredients on the market and is commonly used to help support reduced pain and increased ease of movement for people with joint issues.

Curcumin has been the subject of numerous studies that have shown positive outcomes for people with joint health related issues and is possibly the most well-researched herb on the planet for joint health related benefits.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cardiovascular/Heart Health Support:
Studies have shown that Curcumin can support heart health by helping to inhibit inflammation, fighting oxidative stress, encouraging healthy blood flow, promoting arterial and vascular health, and by helping to support healthy cholesterol levels.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Brain & Cognitive Support:
Curcumin is thought to have neuroprotective properties and to support brain health by increasing blood flow to the brain, enhancing focus, and by reducing inflammatory and oxidative stress, both of which are linked to degenerative symptoms.

Some cognitive health benefits associated with Curcumin include supporting working memory, focus, calmness, and reduced feelings of occasional stress.

Curcumin has also been shown to help support the body’s fight against degenerative processes in the brain by boosting levels of the brain hormone BDNF, which increases the growth of neurons.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Liver Health Support:
Curcumin supports the body’s natural detoxification system and is thought to support liver health through its ability to stimulate bile secretion and by reducing inflammation and oxidative stress.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Health Aging/Anti-Aging & Longevity Support:
Curcumin, and especially the more advanced forms of Curcumin like Theracurmin®, are some of the most popular ingredients in the anti-aging & longevity category of supplements due to its wide variety of potential benefits.

In addition to the wide variety of potential benefits listed above, Curcumin may have anti-aging benefits and support healthy aging through reducing the effects of low grade oxidative and inflammatory stress, which can damage cells and accelerate degenerative changes in the body.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stacking & Synergy:
Theracurmin XT can be taken with Joint Support XT, Cissus XT, PEA Relief, Pepti-Plex, or a wide variety of other SNS products to help you reach your health and fitness goals.

Theracurmin XT is already at or on the way to some retailers and is available to any retailers that would like to offer it.

Seen this pop up on DPS, was waiting for the write up, looks awesome!

Thank you. We've had a lot of requests to do a Theracurmin product. If anyone is familiar with this and what some brands sell it for, they'll see right away how incredible of a price that we are offering this for.

The price for the amount per bottle is stupid. 👀

Almost makes me feel bad what I used to pay for this previously. Also I’m kinda dumb and always thought it was theracumin not theracurmin…

Ha. You're definitely not dumb - you know a lot about ingredients and are a genius on training.

This is one that I think/hope anyone familiar with what ingredient normally sells for is going to be super happy with our price :)

More the issue that it has been out for years and I have definitely recommended it a decent bit and no one has ever corrected me. 😭

As this is more convenient than topical, do you think this might be just as effective? If you can compare the two.

I've been very happy with using topical XPG gel as my daily curcumin. I loved Theracurmin back in the day though, only stopped as it became price prohibitive. I may end up going something like 1 pump per day gel + 1 cap of this per day to kind of cover multiple directions of use (but I would say you couldn't going wrong with either, even at 1 cap of this with the dosage).

As this is more convenient than topical, do you think this might be just as effective? If you can compare the two.

Theracurmin is a different type of curcumin than CurcuPrime, so its hard to make a direct comparison. We do use both forms in our Elite Curcumin product, whereas the dosage of Theracurmin itself is much higher in Theracurmin XT. In comparison to CurcuPrime Gel, its hard to go wrong either way results wise, but I personally use CurcuPrime Gel for inflammation in my leg where the tissue damage is from my accident but have already started using Theracurmin XT orally. It's also hard to give a head to head comparison between CurcuPrime and Theracurmin bc CurcuPrime is Tetrahydrocurcumin, one isolated constituent from curcumin whereas Theracurmin enhances absorption and bioavailability of curcumin and all its active constituents.

I hope that helps explain it and doesn't confuse it more.

I wanted to let customers in the UK and EU know that Unreal Supps was very excited about this and wanted to make sure they had it in stock as soon as it was released. They have this and PEA Relief listed now and I wanted to confirm that they do have it in stock and ready to ship.

Sometimes when something is just released, people will ask if international retailers actually have it in stock, so I wanted to confirm that yes, they do.

I've always been a 1 cap kinda guy. I take 400-500mg of c3, or meriva, but I've been doing it for many years now, and while it might not be the optimal dose, my thinking is that the main point is consistency longterm, if the goal is antiaging and general health, vs taking the optimal theraputic dose for a specific issue. One cap of Theracumin XT should provide way better benefits than a similar cap of C3.

Same I’ve been taking “low” dose curcumin for so long now. I also figure I don’t have like pressing need for high dose so I just try to take some continually for hopeful benefit.

I don't want that alzheimers/dementia bullshit if I can avoid it lol.

Basically everyone should be taking curcumin every day, along with (IMO) green tea and fish oil, for overall health and antiaging. Cheap, and effective. So jump on these stacks and get that ball rolling!

A more absorbable Curcumin? @sns8778 when deciding between buying this or elite Curcumin XT, does it come to preferences or is there a slightly different use case for it?

A more absorbable Curcumin? @sns8778 when deciding between buying this or elite Curcumin XT, does it come to preferences or is there a slightly different use case for it?

Elite Curcumin and Theracurmin XT are both great products.

Elite Curcumin has some Theracurmin in it - it has 500 mg. of C3 Curcumin Complex, 250 mg. CurcuPrime, and 100 mg. Theracurmin; whereas Theracurmin XT has 300 mg. of Theracurmin per capsule.

Everyone pretty much agrees that one of the biggest issues with curcumin in general is the poor oral bioavailability.

Different branded ingredient companies go about trying to improve the oral bioavailability in different ways and because of this, there are different types of higher bioavailability curcumin.

The reality is that different types may work different for different people and before Elite Curcumin, people were left to having to try different types/forms to see which worked best for them. With Elite Curcumin, we included 3 of the most well-researched ones that were truly different from one another in one product so that people could use one product and get enhanced absorption via different pathways rather than have to try a lot of different products.

The reason that we did a Theracurmin XT product separately is because it is a very unique form of curcumin and has some great studies on it and is a very popular form; and we had had a lot of requests from people to do one at a cost effective price.

My worry in doing one is that I didn't want it to confuse people - they are both great products and its hard to go wrong either way.

Interesting. I will have to try them out and see which I respond to better. I'm genuinely curious about the difference in taking the three kinds in one vs a higher dose of one specific high absorption one

My mother has had bad shoulder pain when she sleeps now for many years, so much so that it was hard for her to get sufficient sleep without taking something for the pain. She was taking NSAIDs nightly for several years, until she finally had a wake up call when her doctor thought she was battling alcoholism - her liver values had become so bad from the otc pain meds he thought she was lying.

But that didn’t stop the significant pain she was dealing with, until I begged her to try Theracurmin XT. I have been using curcumin supplements for years to help recover from my weight training, so she gave it a shot. She called me that week and told me she couldn’t believe how great her shoulder felt, that she was sleeping pain free now nightly!

She is on her second bottle & completely stopped the NSAIDs, with no plans to look back.

Ya this stuff is awesome. I run 1 cap daily or bump up to 2 when it’s a time I feel I need a little more help.

I recommend it to many for issues like Hyde mentions above, replacing other things with it as a great long term alternative.

I also have been dealing with shoulder pain, did something why doing flat bench. It’s the sharpest pain in my shoulder almost where it meets the chest. I have been running two caps a day for three weeks along with liver xt which also had curcumin and while I still experience light pain I’m finally able to flat bench again ! Love this stuff

Sorry for posting the link.

Thanks both for answering.

Still got one question, isn’t it 90 mg vs 30 mg due to the 30% from 300 mg in the SNS product?
Very interesting product, definitely gonna try it out..

Should still be cheaper even if it’s 30.

This is my preferred Curcumin product. Actually just picked up more.

Oke but that’s quite a difference.
Three times the dose or 10 times the dose SNS rep stated

Theracurmin is the ingredient and that’s what you’re supposed to provide the listed dose of. Curcumin is an active in Theracurmin. SNS provides the active content dose of it as additional and full transparency information.

Theracurmin is a patented ingredient. It contains 30% Curcumin yield - if you think about it, it would be impossible to contain 100% Curcumin yield because then there wouldn’t be room for the enhanced absorption mechanism it uses.

You’re saying this like you’re saying their product somehow has a higher percentage of Theracurmin, and that’s not the case. Theracurmin is not our ingredient or their ingredient, it’s a branded ingredient and belongs to the patent holder.

Theracurmin XT contains 300 mg. of Theracurmin per capsule. That is the dose of Theracurmin. Then that 300 mg of Theracurmin contains 90 mg of actual Curcumin.

The other product lists 30 mg of Theracurmin.
30 mg x 30% would be 9 mg Curcumin. They are a Canadian company, so let’s say by some wild chance they’re labeling it incorrectly and really mean 30 mg of Curcumin, that would mean that it was 100 mg Theracurmin providing 30 mg Curcumin. I doubt that’s the case as it would be considered mislabeling in the US and even though they’re Canadian most of their sales are in the US.

But even if it was, Theracurmin XT would still be providing 3x as much per capsule while still being less expensive.

Theracurmin has always been known as a superior, but expensive form of Curcumin. That was the purpose behind SNS doing Theracurmin XT - being willing to take a much lower margin than many companies are willing to in order to provide a top quality Theracurmin at a price that people can afford to use it.

Oke but that’s quite a difference.
Three times the dose or 10 times the dose SNS rep stated

I explained this in detail in my post before this one before I saw this one.

But since you seem to be implying that I’m lying…

I’m not an SNS ‘rep’. I’m the company president and work with dozens of branded ingredient companies, including helping in the development of new ingredients for 20 years.

FDA labeling law says that you label an ingredient on the supplement facts by the amount of the ingredient. Theracurmin is the ingredient.

Theracurmin is a patented ingredient of TheraValues. When a brand licenses a branded ingredient, they are supposed to label the ingredient in the way the patent holder states which must be in compliance with FDA labeling law. TheraValues prefers, but does not require the brand to list the 30% portion.

300 mg total dose of Theracurmin - the law.
30% Curcumin content also shown - the way the patent holder likes it to be shown.

Theracurmin XT:
300 mg Theracurmin
30% = 90 mg

The other you listed:
30 mg Theracurmin
30% = 9 mg

And if you want to say that their 30 mg listing is the active content, then I’ll point out to you that if that’s true, they’re violating FDA label law. Because if they were saying 30 mg was the active, instead of saying ‘Theracurmin Curcumin Extract’ the label would be supposed to state Curcumin (from Theracurmin) - that’s how you would label it if labeling by Curcumin content.

I'm not saying you're lying, I'm just asking questions. With your username, I can't see that you're a company president. I only see an SNS profile picture with a nickname and someone recommending a product, so, for me, a representative.

I personally have good experience with Natural Factors' product and I was just asking what the difference is between the two, because the label states something different.

The label of Natural Factors indicates that it's a registered product of TheraValues.
Is it legally allowed for a company to use this? Without there rules on the label ?

As you mentioned, it's a product from Canada. Then the FDA has nothing to do with it, i guess ?
And then what your assuming, the 30% of 30 mg = 9 mg doesn't add up.

And every company wants to sell as many products as possible, so the small margin you mention is an odd remark.
Don't get me wrong. I am a satisfied SNS customer, but I feel like I'm being attacked for a few questions I asked.

I'm not attacking you at all. You asked questions, I answered them.

You keep implying I don't know what I'm talking about, so I explained to you that yes, I very much know what I'm talking about as I'm the company President and use Theracurmin in multiple products, have a licensing agreement with TheraValues, and TheraValues reviews every single label that we use their ingredient in.

In post #24 you asked:
What is the difference with this theracurmin brand ? And posted a referral link to a brand of curcumin.

@mechka_grizli replied to you and answered your question.

Then in post 26, I wrote you an extremely comprehensive reply and detailed all of the differences including dosage per capsule, absorption enhancers, grams of Theracurmin per bottle, and the price breakdown.

Then you asked:
Still got one question, isn’t it 90 mg vs 30 mg due to the 30% from 300 mg in the SNS product?

^^^ which I was glad to answer and did answer, and then I saw that you had made the comment:
Oke but that’s quite a difference.
Three times the dose or 10 times the dose SNS rep stated

^^^^ which seemed like you were implying that I wasn't answering your question honestly or don't know what I'm talking about.

And that's what got us to this point here.

I don't know how much more detailed I can possibly be in answering you than in posts #26, 30, and 31.

To reply to everything you said in this post I quoted:

Your statement:
I'm not saying you're lying, I'm just asking questions. With your username, I can't see that you're a company president. I only see an SNS profile picture with a nickname and someone recommending a product, so, for me, a representative.

^^^ I'm always glad to answer questions. You're right, I don't put company President in my signature, because I come on here and post and try to help people like a normal person. I rarely ever even mention it - but when you imply that I don't know what I'm talking about or don't know about the ingredient, the fact that I'm the company President, have a licensing agreement with TheraValues, use the ingredient in multiple products, and speak with them regularly becomes quite relevant.

Your statement:
I personally have good experience with Natural Factors' product and I was just asking what the difference is between the two, because the label states something different.

^^^ Someone else answered you. I answered you in great detail. Their label states the dose of Theracurmin; our label states the dose of Theracurmin AND the amount of active Curcumin.

Your statement:
The label of Natural Factors indicates that it's a registered product of TheraValues.
Is it legally allowed for a company to use this? Without there rules on the label ?

^^^ I'm confused as to what you are asking here. I explained this part in detail in post #30 - copy and paste:

Theracurmin is a patented ingredient of TheraValues. When a brand licenses a branded ingredient, they are supposed to label the ingredient in the way the patent holder states which must be in compliance with FDA labeling law. TheraValues prefers, but does not require the brand to list the 30% portion.

300 mg total dose of Theracurmin - the law.
30% Curcumin content also shown - the way the patent holder likes it to be shown.

^^^ so yes, they are required to have the patent attribution statement of TheraValues; that is my point about the ingredient being the same no matter whether it SNS, Natural Factors, Brand XYZ, or Brand EFG.

Your statement:
As you mentioned, it's a product from Canada. Then the FDA has nothing to do with it, i guess ?
And then what your assuming, the 30% of 30 mg = 9 mg doesn't add up.

^^^ and here you go again with the comments that I don't know what I'm talking about.
Natural Factors is a Canadian company that warehouses product in the USA and sells product in the USA, and therefore has to follow US labeling laws. They themselves have stated in the past that some labels are different in the US than in Canada.

I'm very familiar with the company, like the company, and am not putting them down by telling you the dosage of their product. They state it themselves clearly on the label.

Your statement:
And every company wants to sell as many products as possible, so the small margin you mention is an odd remark.

How is it odd that I stated:
Theracurmin has always been known as a superior, but expensive form of Curcumin. That was the purpose behind SNS doing Theracurmin XT - being willing to take a much lower margin than many companies are willing to in order to provide a top quality Theracurmin at a price that people can afford to use it.

^^^ We're literally discussing that we offer 10x more dose per capsule, or let's say that theirs is mislabeled and has a higher dose than the label states and go with your 30 mg. curcumin you keep trying to say, then that makes their dose 100 mg. so then ours is 3x more dose per capsule and still less expensive.

You can find probably a dozen examples of people here on AM asking us to do a high dose Theracurmin product at a reasonable price before we ever offered Theracurmin XT.

What you took as an odd remark is me being polite - I like Natural Factors and was pointing out that we are very low margin on Theracurmin XT to be able to offer the dose we do at the price that we do. That sounds better than leaving anyone reading with the impression that Natural Factors just has a big markup on their product - which is true - they're a good company, but they are expensive as compared to other companies on most everything. I trust their quality, but rarely buy their products bc of the prices as compared to competing brands.

If you have questions, I'm glad to answer them. I answer people's questions all the time on here that want to learn more about products, ingredients, labeling laws, etc.

But when you imply that I don't know what I'm talking about or don't know about the ingredient, the fact that I'm the company President, have a licensing agreement with TheraValues, use the ingredient in multiple products, and speak with them regularly becomes quite relevant.
Come on, i just said. It's a big difference when someone first tells it's 10x the dose and then 3x the dose.
And I understand your explanation, how SNS must label this and it's different in Canada

We're literally discussing that we offer 10x more dose per capsule, or let's say that theirs is mislabeled and has a higher dose than the label states and go with your 30 mg. curcumin you keep trying to say, then that makes their dose 100 mg. so then ours is 3x more dose per capsule and still less expensive.
My order is shipping atm and i will come back and review the product, if its stronger ( 3 times or 10 times) than Natural Factors, honestly

thanks for explaining.
Peace

3 months ago I couldn’t do flat bench do to a crazy sharp pain on my shoulder around where in context to my chest, I started theracumin xt and slowly got better and better. Last week I was able to rep out 275x10 on flat bunch with zero pain ! I have no doubt it was the three months on this supplement that made this possible

I’m glad to answer questions.

You asked for a comparison, I gave you a detailed one.

You asked about if Theracurmin XT was only dosed higher bc it’s 30%, and I explained to you that that isn’t specific to Theracurmin XT - that Theracurmin itself is 30%.

^^^ which btw is why TheraValues prefers it to be labeled they way we do, so that there won’t be this type of confusion.

I’ve answered every question you’ve asked, and explained it in great detail.

My only issue is that you keep saying things implying that someone is lying to you, such as your comment in your post above where you said ‘if’ it’s stronger.

There’s no ‘if’ to it. Theracurmin XT is stronger than their product.
  • If they are following labeling laws, then Theracurmin XT is 10x the dose per capsule.
  • If they accidentally labeled it incorrectly, then Theracurmin XT is 3x the dose per capsule.
^^^ You asked for a comparison - I gave you a detailed comparison based off the assumption they labeled their product correctly. I also mentioned in one of my first posts that if they did accidentally label it wrong, then it would be a 3x difference rather than a 10x difference.

Either way, there’s no ‘if’ to it - whether it’s 3x stronger or 10x stronger, it’s still stronger and also less expensive.

That’s not a knock at Natural Factors. It just is what it is. I even tried being tactful and polite bc I do like them, by stating that we are very low margin to be able to offer the dose we do at the price we do, so that people wouldn’t view it as Natural Factors overcharging them.

There’s no attack or any negativity towards you or towards Natural Factors.

I’ve tried to answer your questions in detail, while also trying to be tactful and polite and not say anything negative about a brand that I like myself.

Thanks for your feedback on this supplement because I use a lot of SNS supplements
especially their joint, tendon, and inflammation supps so I will definitely pick it up in
the future and run it for a couple of months and see how it works for me.
