Snag gets FINAFLEXed on Road to Nationals

yeah you must be..ever look at how much fat (satfat) is in them things??
and ppl wonder why they can't ever get lean

G8, I dose 5on/2off
you can extend the cycle longer, that shorter advised use of dosing every day..plus will keep you from getting acclimated to it, at any time

Lol I don't wonder why I can't get lean at all. It's like 2.50 pound, 96 is about 4. (Or something along those lines).

Awesome, my log should go up tomorrow and I was just making sure I had everything in line before starting.

aware on the price bro - and actually, 96% is more than $4 (quite a bit more, unless it's on sale) :D
doesn't matter to me - i'm out for quality, not cheap food to buy
effectiveness (and health) >>> saving couple bucks here & there to eat shyte

and I wasn't referring to you specifically, at all - is simply a lot of ppl's approach out there who ARE trying to do some physique leaning, and doing the same thing as you for the very same reason (cheap)

there are some cutting logs going on out there, where ppl are all talking about this 80% stuff they are using..
[sigh]

I'm not sure what the deal is a lot of people like it but the aftertaste was horrid. How are u guys preparing it?

Ha I just throw mine in the skillet and eat it in 4 oz pattys with mustard. I actually enjoy it...but tbh I don't exactly eat for taste anymore :/ most things I have to choke down still haha

Lol jims one of those lucky guys who doesnt have to worry about getting fat haha. Might be different now though since you arent getting run ragged anymore right?

Lol I used to eat only 93 or higher (when my mother was footing the bill) but I don't find myself in the financial situation to do that right now.

Someday maybe, because I prefer the taste mostly.

Yeah, I don't put on weight very easily.

But I still don't wanna get fat lol.

I put on some weight since getting out, but I am sitting fairly steadily at 185. Although, I'm gonna be starting a mild cut in the next few weeks. Gotta get down to 181 for the next meet.

Yeah I'm done with choking food down brotato. I did that for like two years straight. All that does is make me want to binge eat. Granted if I'm behind in a prep I could do again but prefer not to. I'm all about enjoying my healthy food now. After time you will acquire a taste for things you had to once choke down.

It's hard to believe that I used to hate chicken. Now I eat it at least twice a day and enjoy it. I'm just struggling with meat variety. If I had money it would be easier but I'm not there yet. I basically eat chx, ground beef, chx sausage (isernios) and steak when I can afford it.

More variety than me brother.

Ground beef, chicken breast.

That's it (unless I'm eating with someone else).

I like ground turkey until I get those small bits of bone. ... that pisses me off beyond belief.

variety not really needed so much - in regular life, I eat much the same way I am here in prep - just lean more heavily on beef and ground turkey, and some chicken breast as well, with the 2-4 cans tuna thrown in weekly (depends on if I am traveling or not, tuna is pretty easy to use for that)..fish some as well, salmon 1x weekly usually
of course, you can pick up nice sirloin steaks for ~$4 on sale, and ribeye cheap too if you wanna go that route - I eat a lot of steak, and red meat in general
then there are the odd upper-end deli cuts I use least of all - like the carving board meats, and the stuff straight from the deli when it's on sale..use these as fillers, and never eat them as you sole source, always add it to a fresh-cut meat

then very rarely, i'll maul some ribs..but now we're just getting carried away (and i'm hungry, sittin here twiddling my thumbs for this carb meal on tap -- oh look! time to go make it, right now).../
:run:

Ground beef, chicken breast.
cheap, and cheaper
I guess if you are off-setting the crappy beef with just as much chick breast, that works out okay

Completely understandable bro. For me right now its just what I have to do to keep from slippin I guess lol. I used to HATE sweet potatoes and I crave them now. Meats easy for me though. Ground turkey, tilapia (I know I know) chicken breast and venison if im feeling saucey lol. My biggest things that I struggle with are greens. Always have hated them...still do. I choke them down but not often enough thats for sure.

as promised..

see, basically same foods, just less of them (~250cals less)
sweet tater now topped with cinnamon from here on out..mmm
ima off to enjoy my food & chill, ya'll enjoy the early morning hrs :wavey:

sole update for today:
tren(avar)+carbs=amaZING!
that is all

oh all right, i'll throw a bit more out there..awoke crazyyyy early today, sleep duration has been all over the place - this is usual with me, I have never required much sleep nor been able to sleep past 7hrs at really any time in my life except for occasional blips
these days, things are getting silly, but I did sleep deep (and have been) when I get there, it's just very short..so anyway I awake ~445a (after going to bed ~130a)..with this extra time on my hands, and a carb meal just eaten couple hrs ago (LOL) decided to do some fasted upon rising LISS, 30min worth + 7.5min three-stage cooldown
felt good man - pic after cardio

and then I relaxingly sauntered my way towards the kitchen (trying to kill as much time as possible to get my feedings/general timeframes back on track somewhat), and made this cornucopia (there is that word again) of tastiness for breakfast

2.5oz turkey breast
1 whole egg + 1 white (yey! I haven't gotten a yolk in for a minute)
draped over 1 slice Ezekiel toasted
1/2 scoop isolate + 1c blackberries
tossed in shaker w/ 1/2c almond milk
and plain rice cake for dessert (oh wrong meal - rice cake did go well with my shake tho, tasty mix)
~415cals total

did I say how much fun this is gonna be yet?

Yep not a fan of veggies really. Having a hard time getting them in myself these days.

dirty ass fish..eats other fishes poop
is the pork of the water bro :yuck: pigfish

^^^^this

Garbage fish

I am really on the fence about Talapia yah it's lean and it tastes pretty good, easy to cook. Then it gets a lot of bad press. I bought a bunch of Sole last time out. I may do Talapia again, will so some research.

I see it in a lot of preps when fats get low. I've ate tons of it myself.

Lean though
sure man - lean poop
total win

I use it sometimes, simply because I do like the taste, macros are good, it's pretty cheap blah blah blah
but - I think I've made a conscious decision for going forward, to never eat it again
I mean, I already do not do pork for basically the very same reason (well, what they eat + the parasites in them things, ewww)..
cannot justify looking at tilapia any differently

well, absolutely fantastic leg session today..looked like this:

7.5min cardio warmup
4x BB atg squats ss w/ lying leg curls
4x seated leg extensions ss w/ BB RDLs
2x lunges ss w/ lying butterfly leg lifts (on stomach - these produce great bun-burn right here!)
3x standing calf raises ss w/ one-legged calf raises
7.5min cardio cooldown

pumped, swole..spent, out

At this point in the game im ok with tilipia maybe when im leaner and can be a littke pickier ill limit it or cut it out. For now though it fits well in my plan...poop or not lol

AZ suggested halibut..i'm on it :)
haven't eaten that too much in my lifetime, for some reason

I snatched up a bag of flounder the other day. Thoughts on flounder?

Tilapia is the Mexican fish out here. All the street taco vendors use it. Hahahah

I usually get salmon, mahi, tuna, or even sole.

That is very nice fish, not going to be so cheap where I am I think as it's a west coast fish. They use it like Cod in British Columbia but it's way better tasting. If you can get it for a decent price I highly recommend it.

tilapia is used a lot, because ppl in general do not realize what a nasty fish it is - and, ppl in prep are advised to use it, so they do
I myself have used it, as I said - but not w/o knowledge of what it is
I just blocked it out :D

Wow sick deal!! Nice job FF

First about the Stimul8 SWEETNESS!

Now for the tilapia and pork, the tilapia yeah it is a bottom feeder, but it is functional protein and a good source of it. When it comes down to it's use it is really just a preference. If what it ate when it was alive grosses you out then you should avoid it. If you enjoy the taste and feel that it's liver and kidneys did their jobs and filtered out what was good from the other fish poop and pooped out the rest you are just fine in eating eat too. It may have some gross habits while alive but still a solid choice for low fat protein source.

Snags and I had the pork conversation once and I went and did a ton of research on it and turns out pork as it is raised and fed now is not really a concern for the parasites. They used to be fed a lot of garbage and what not before and it was an issue but when the "lean meat movement" came along, they way they were raised was drastically changed. No longer was it okay to fatten them up on any trash you could give them. Most of them are grain fed now. People were looking for "Pork, the other white meat." So fattening them up on garbage was not going to work and a more controlled diet was needed. That and of course the FDA stepping in to clean up the health issues with them has really changed the pork game.

Again, it comes down to a preference and if certain things bother you. The quality of the meat is good, but it is still looked upon by many as a dirty or garbage meat. Depending on how you feel about that is how you make your food choices.

Snags is a major tow the line, all high quality guy so if there is ANY question in his mind he would just rather do without. This is the sentiment of many, and creates many opinions and none of them are wrong just different. So choose your foods based on macro and micro nutrient content, AS WELL AS your personal opinions and you can't go wrong.

Sorry Snags, not disrespecting you at all just discussing from another angle. Hope I did not derail the thread in any way.

Oh yeah Snags, SICK looking in that post cardio pick my friend!

never derail brother, no worries..however: rebuttal time!
tilapia, as I said agreed - just not something i'm gonna continue with personally..
pork tho - it's not so much the slop in their food consumption that is issue brother :D they eat other dead animals - inc (yes) other pigs, before farmers can get to them..as well, because they eat the ground, this is the source, not slop
and yes - improvements have been made in cleanliness, but still..once these parasites get in, you cannot kill them! not by cooking, not by anything..now, our body, if running soundly and up-to-snuff, is built to withstand these for the most part - but there is still potential for you to pick up a parasite from these, and however small the chance, I am not the one to be taking it
add to that your other point: pork is the fattiest meat in existence with maybe exception of salmon - and salmon fat is totally different ballgame..no thanks, don't need it in my diet, at all, anytime

Oh yeah Snags, SICK looking in that post cardio pick my friend!
dude - this is just glimpse of the final product! let me give you an idea...
if I can get down to 3% + gain a lil muscle thruout this process, no depletion at end game..picture that ;)
and honestly, I see no reason why I cannot do this; I mean, i'm pretty low right now ~just under 4 weeks out..if I were to just cut water in half right now (currently 2g+ per day) and massively reduce sodium (dunno exactly where I am at, but between 8K-10Kmg I am sure LOL), that alone would prolly put me close to ~5% right now...
think about that, and then please give me a reason why this will not just possibly, but more like more than likely, be accomplished?

:)

Only pork I really eat is the leanest pork loin section... I should probably clarify that. Trimmed of external fat it is pretty lean. The rest of it I have no interest in at all. Well Bacon but honestly I prefer turkey bacon if I am messing with that. Interesting on the ground eating...

Yeah you look great I have no question you are going to come in absolutely FREAKY! There is no reason you should not be able to obtain, or even surpass your current expectations. I can not wait to see how you look in the end.

Interesting way to tell snags you're interested him in a sexual manor.

Love the food updates snags, just can't convince my wife to eat that way yet. So work nights i get what she makes. Plus side is she cooks with jasmine rice and sweet potatoes more!

I ate 48 oz of cod a day for 21 days I believe. And I liked cod. Started with halibut but it was too expensive. I think I spent like 400.00 in fish the last three weeks of prep. Never again

That is all

meh - we're all Freaks over here at FINAFLEX..just par for the course :hump:

nothing wrong with those choices at all
I think I had jasmine like twice or something, very early on this prep..went by the wayside in short order, not exactly what I wanted/needed to make my move

but yes - hopefully you now understand, the course you were directed on should never be used - never ever ever, at any time, no matter what :nono:

First of all Snags, each pic you post you look more and more ripped/shredded... total win.

Second, you fukkers have me thinking I should chuck half the meat in my deep freezer out when I get home from work lol

Depending on how old it is, could be safe to chuck it. I'm with these other guys on the percentages too. I don't eat anything that's less than 93% with the exception of my breakfast sausage (isernio's chx sausage). That's still pretty lean stuff though. It's just tastes a lot better when it's less fatty. I'm also one of the guys that likes ground turkey though.
