Snag continues his off-season REDEFINing

Sorry to hear about the groin. I don't have to tell you but I will, put some ice on it for a day or two then after that alternate heat and ice on it a few times a day.

I do both parralel and ATG squats depends on if power or quad activation is my goal.

lil mid-day update here:
after feeling very ruff still this morning rising, i've made huge progress as the day goes on..mobility is coming back, i can stride normally now.
i won't be sprinting anytime soon, but improvement has been lightning fast, out of the blue..
dig it.

Typical gron injury.. it's either really resilient or very sensitive ...
 
Could have just been a trigger point knotting up and causing the muscle to pull too.

I love ATG squats, however I can feel the muscle or tendon in my hip pop across the top of my femur when I do them now. Has been that way since a severe sprain of the hip flexor a few years back. Totally sucks! It doesn't hurt but it doesn't feel good either. I had some ART done on the area a while back and it helped quite a bit. I may just need to go get a little more work done on it. In the new year when insurance changes I wont have a copay for seeing the Chiro so I will be going there to get it looked at also.
 
feeling almost 100% here this morning - in fact, busted out my 125 DBs for some flat bench action today..chesticles were engorged, looked pretty manly.

three weeks in on 1-Alpha

all right, so 3 weeks in yesterday..
groin all healed up, feeling good this morning, weighing 206 upon rising, couple lbs up..strength up on all lifts across the board (no PRs, not trying for those; rather, the weights i use in specific rep ranges have all been moved up). i think i've gotten a pretty good feel for this 1-Alpha, now we're going to take it to another level..
the stack now becomes:
2 caps 1-Alpha + 1 cap M-Sten Rx upon rising; same dosing @10hrs later w/ a meal. this will encompass the next 4 weeks, altho i may add some DAA in at some point toward the end. i'm also trying to work some 550XD in there, but this stuff is like a rare bird right now, tuff to get ahold of..exemestane and PCT Black remain remain on hand if needed - have not used yet.
caloric intake ranges from 3000-4000 daily, depending on where i'm at in my ebb/flow (i might drop to 2800 on a low-cal non-workout day).
oh - and the dreaded night sweats have been absent now for 3 days.

You have been smart enough to not go for the big lifts that are probably very attainable for you right now. 1-alpha does not dry out your joints or anything, it just makes you so strong that you could do some damage if not suported by something like 550. I was toasted when I did 1-test back in the day. The weight felt like air but it took a toll...

as far as severity of this one - i got lucky.
all healed, feeling great again.
 
everything rolling along very well..
physique changes anew since i've started the M-Sten, without doing anything different than what i been doing or changing the plan. very quick..
libido is jacked thru the roof (thought it was starting to lag from 1-Alpha but last 2 days it's making strong comeback, i'll credit M-Sten since this always happens to me early on in cycle, when i just start something new), strength and pumps are great (1-Alpha been good), body and joints feeling lubed and flexible (Achilles is awesome), energy nice and explosive in the weightroom (Ignite2, love it)..

i am feeling quite righteous. :slap:

training has been:
MON - arms/abs
TUE - quads/hams/calves
WED shoulders

today will be back and some abs..gonna flare them lats like king cobra.
it's gonna be a beautiful day.
 
The sten is supplying what we used to get from 4ad possibly, new energy to battle 1-alpha causing a bit of lethargy...
 
Sounds like things are really picking up for you Snags! What was your body weight when you added the MSten?

4 weeks in..

all right so we're 4 weeks in total: first 3 weeks on 1-Alpha alone, the last week on 1-Alpha + M-Sten.
mostly good things to report..workouts have been great, strength at high levels..libido at a nice level.
muscle pump all day long. mood has been decent, lethargy has been non-existent..........until now that is.
this last day or two i seem to be lagging a tad. and today, i had some lower back pumps creeping on. nothing major, but i was sure aware of it let's put it that way. so, we'll keep an eye on that.
as for growth - been pretty outstanding i think. but that presents a problem too..i awoke today at 208, and it's like i crossed a threshhold and feel too big, too inflexible. i need to shift the diet again (and am doing that today), should be fine. i'd rather stay at this weight and recomp than get any bigger i think.

making a shift in the training, will look like this:
1 - quads/calves
2 - chest/tris (abs opt)
3 - back/hams
4 - shoulders/bi (abs opt)
thinking 4 on/3 off, with off days scheduled when i need them rather then a set day.

so today, did quads/calves (was supposed to be off day, will make that tomorrow instead)
did some pulley crossover work as well, been awhile since i've done that.

mostly added muscle. i'm holding a bit of water too, and fat is up..
but all these things will combine to push this feeling of lack of mobility and flexibility.
208 is rare air for me...i'm glad i'm not playing tennis right now. :p
 
so no lethargy this morning..in fact, was hellbent on getting some gym action on. :firedevil:
decided on a simple arm session (since it was an off-day), looked like this.

standing BB drag curls + tri-focused dips
preacher EZ bar curls + close-grip bench
standing reverse BB curls + seated forearm curls
(no supersets, just casual transitions)

pump was just ridiculous. i feel hyooge.
quads recovered fairly well from yesterday.
 
I had a good experience as well this weekend I did some hair removal, and usually I end up looking watery and am a little disapointed. First of all the Cream I used was so fuggin improved over past versions it was crazy. The stuff had 0 bad odor and cleaned me up like you wouldn't believe I am as smooth as a cheerleaders azzz... and wow this time the hair was hiding a lot of good stuff, I am looking fuggin big and lean. I left the stuff on for 4 minutes then just got in the shower and wiped it off and it came of so easy. I will dry out a bit over the next few days so it is going to get good.

yeah i gave up on those creams long ago..too hairy, i am. :sigh:

I am also extremely Hairy, probably more than you and I have to tell you they are very much improved. Used to be the comercial shyte did not work for me at all, I had to get the Jan Tana stuff. Then I started using Veet and it was almost as good, well now it's way the fug better. Even my coarse chest hair is completely gone. First for me. It does not burn at all, I even left it on my nipples and nothing in the way of burn. It is fuggin cold though.

interesting. yeah the old stuff i used was smelly and burned like acid..and STILL had to go over it with a razor. :(
been yrs since i tried anything other than razor tho, maybe since my first comp.

Yah I know the stuff sucked, trick is you put it on thick and don't have to do any trimming every on very long hair. One thing I don't know though is what happens when you use it on shaved areas after years of shaving. My hair has gotten more sparse over the years as this method does that over time. Shaving is another matter so .. I don't know how well it will work. Like I said though my chest har is very coarse... so maybe it's good enough now. I use Veet and it was in a pink bottle which was the new stuff. It's not runny at all and no real odor.
 
Wow you are looking huge Snags good stuff. Funny I too came to the realization this weekend that the time to clean up was now. I am just not where I want to be and would rather be leaner even if it means I lose a lb or so of muscle I kept it for a very long time and even if I lose it I can recover it later. I will be dropping the excess here shortly until I feel comfortable in my own skin then will start the recomp process.
 
The gradual gain has been better for me, I still look bigger and I stayed lean so less to lose. I think this is the way for me to go from now on.

well i dint come to this realization..i been pretty damn kleen (err, i mean clean) my entire off-season. but boy, have i gone thru some srs structured caloric loads in a (successful) effort to add a bit of expansion on my frame..
i am far from sloppy bro. :D
i just feel immobile when i reach a certain bw. :shrug: really has nothing to do with bf or anything -- just mass in general.
on a sidenote: if i did want to just gain pure bulk w/o any conscious thought to composition, i have no doubt i'd be at 250 in no time..srs.
esp on something like the stack i'm currently running. it's just very easy to gain muscle right now..ridiculous.

No doubt, not exactly in the same situation. I am sitting at 213.5 now but I have at least 5 lbs more fat on me than you. Makes a big difference in the look. You Sir look like a beast and pretty much where I was at the end of the oral run I was on. Lean 208-210 and loving it. Not referring to you as sloppy by any means. Of course what I was on was not as strong as Ment
you are going to be looking crazy big and lean when this is done.
I am the same way on this stuff when it comes to mass gains I have to watch what I am doing and keep doses relatively low on things or forget about it I get way too big.

I do it from time to time as a change up. I enjoy it. And yes I came in just in time for a food picture again.

Don't know what this immobile feel is about...but bet I would if I ever got to the 200s. :D
