Adding a screen cap of RX to compare to what I actually did. This has been a fun week cause I've walked in with extreme confidence so far, and walked out not feeling destroyed despite being "heavy ish" weight.

Now I'm not gonna lie and say I havent put on some fat, but the weight belt was still on hole 2, my golden standard, despite being 205 today (and 208 yesterday morning) which is a PR in itself

Added some extra credit bench to make up for yesterday's lack of volume at what would have been BBB weight.

@gphagan1 I need you to head into Atlanta, walk down to the locker room, and give the boys a pep talk. this graphic cracks me up. When the M's lost 22-2, and then gave up 19 a week later I lost hope, and I truly started disliking Bryce Miller, our SP. Then Bryce hosed another one and I got mad that Dan Wilson wasn't yanking this guy from the mound, but here we are 5.5 games out with 9 to go, and we are still not eliminated.

The Stros play you guys in their next series. While the M's go play the worst team in Baseball, the Rockies.
Then the M's play the Stros.... if you guys can sweep the stros, and the M's sweep the Rockies, our last series against the stros could literally take us from being 5.5 back with 9 to go, into a playoff spot 😂 😂

This is what it feels like to be a Mariners fan since age 6. you are always doing math in the last 2 weeks of the season, lol!!!

Also funny, but not really, the Hawks lost our QB after like 1 play on game 1. He threw one completion. (I really like Sam so I wish him a speedy recovery) but the pats QB threw 3 interceptions so the meme of the week was that the Pats starter threw more completions to the Seahawks than the Seahawks starter did haha.

Spent more time changing plates than lifting weights. Lumped OHP together with pulls today cause Fri/sat/sun doesn't look good for gym. So I have three "rest" days and start cycle 6 on Monday.

I got back to work on fence project:

1789998359943.webp

Its kinda brutal cause I do have one of those 1 man augers, but being out in the woods I'm fighting roots everywhere I finally lost my $hit at one point fighting roots and just started slamming the post hole digger into the hold in a fit of frustration, which broke through the bits in my way and started making substantial progress. I was like damn, I have to go full ham on every one of these holes, so I did lol. It was like a workout. basically ended up with 12 more posts in the ground before taking the wife out on a date.

1789998497174.webp

My dad warned me he can't use that auger, he said he had to let my little brothers use it cause they're bigger than him (actually, they're bigger than me, too). I thought I had it figured out but I caught a root at one point, the hand slipped out of my hand jamming up my wrist and slammed full speed into my shin. The immediate pain was my wrist, I was almost worried I had broke it for 1/10th of a second. then my shin.... oh my shin... I looked down and I could see A FREAKING GOLFBALL through my jeans. I rolled them up and I had a welt the size of a damn golf ball, no joke a legit golf ball sized goose egg sticking out my shin. THEN the pain started radiating down into my ankle, and up around the hamstring into the glute... I walked it off, rubbed it to see if I could feel any breaks (lol, as if). then went back to work.

went in and showed my wife and said "I bet I don't even get a cool bruise".

sure enough, monday morning I feel like a train hit me. my feet hurt, hands hurt, lower back is sore. but you know what doesn't hurt and has no signs of bruising? my shin and my wrist 😂😂😂😂

You need to find a way to get out of this fence business and exclusively focus on consuming these delicious farm breakfasts instead 😭
Brother I am with you. the whole morning I had negative self talk and I was convinced I'm lazy. I even admitted to my wife that I think I'm a lazy person cause I'm hauling 60lb bags of concrete, farmers carry 2 x 5 gallon buckets of water to the back of the "field", and carrying each of those 10ft round posts to their spot, then the auger, the post hole digger, shovel, t-post I'm using to mix the concrete, the level, etc and every step I'm thinking "damn I hate doing this, I must just be lazy cause there's guys out there that just do this all day every day". I've thought about posting in local town talk groups to see if I could get helpers or even hire someone but I know I've seen people spend $30k on fences and if I DIY it, I think it will be around $3k or less. its miserable work, BUT when its done, it opens up this full 220ft x 220ft playground where we can do the "fun" farm stuff like raising animals and she can go hogwild with her garden...

its one of those jobs where I just gotta keep the ball in motion and one day it will magically be done and I'll be proud of it lol.

but I do think there is some pride of ownership really kicking in with this "space" we are creating. cause even after I was done with my work for the day (read: hit my goal of posts in the ground) I started cleaning random branches and clearing spaces and basically "sweeping dirt" for no reason other than to make the dirt look pretty in the area I had worked, haha.

I still have a video of me trying to raise myself into a handstand on some park parallel bars and once I go up I over rotated and fell hitting my shin on the way down so hard it just makes the metal bars ring for a few seconds. We are talking about 4 inch bars, not a regular dip situation. It ended up breaking a small piece of my shin bone off and it popped out and through my skin. I was messed up for a bit, but kept training. I just used soccer shin guards to protect me during deadlifts for a while.

I definitely had a mark from that though!

dude thats wild I don't even want to think about it 😂 😂
I'm used to walking in the house dripping blood and not even realizing I'm bleeding but I'll admit a big fat goose egg on my shin gave me about 2 seconds worth of paranoia before I decided "well it is what it is, I'll figure it out later" 😂😂

Watched a dude repping 405 on incline. These were about 4" from chest, like a spotto style almost without a pause but damn, 405 is 405 and for reps. I gave him a fist bump and complimented his strength, he goes that's easy, now I gotta do 100 pushups lol.

I offered to sit on his back but he declined.

Potatoes, green beans, and roasted chicken for dinner tonight. I didn't even think about till after we ate and my wife said the whole dinner was homegrown tonight kinda cool!

270x5 is saying you should be over 300.

Yeah a lot of guys who are strong enough to do 405 inclines are also tight enough that they won’t be touching. Usually either shoulders or pecs themselves will get painful if so - but obviously it’s not holding them back any in development! Never seen anyone who could incline 4 plates that didn’t have a massive chest & delts.

It’s always cool when it’s all homegrown…..and that 270x5 is🔥
Finished with these cup cake sized apple pies my step daughter made with the apple pie filling my wife canned this weekend from our apples and I woke up at 205lbs this morning lol. I've picked around 300lbs of apples so far and If I wanted more there must be a couple thousand pounds left!

I think so. that 270 was definitely a full effort. I recovered crazy fast and the 10 x 5 was almost silly easy, I had to play with it just to make it a little more challenging/fun. 270 x 5 may very well be a PR but I can't honestly remember if I ever hit 5 at 270 or 275 before. I know if I had taken 6 it would have been a PR for sure but either way I'm here knocking on the door!

We have a Granny Smith apple tree and a pear tree, and they keep us supplied for the Summer and Fall. My wife usually makes preserves with them and then we eat the rest or put them in smoothies.
Yeah, that apple pie will put it on you. It’s funny you really do seem like you’re more from the south than the PNW….it’s in your blood.😎🤘

I consider that a compliment!

probably has a lot to do with how I was raised. my moms family had about 200 years of south indiana before they settled in the PNW and I grew up in the 80s before the internet could fully corupt me. My dad was born in Kentucky as an army brat but his mom and dad both came from our Georgia lineage before they finally settled out here (Ft Lewis since Grandpa was still army) so between dads GA/Kansas roots, and Moms Indiana roots, I was probably not raised like a normal PNW 90s kid...

With a little more grit I may have had 9-10 reps in me, not sure. But when I hit 5 I sure felt easy (ish)

Weird schedule today. In office for 3 hrs then headed to Portland area for a work tradeshow thing so I hit the gym on my way south. Now to start a 3hr post squat drive

180 is getting to be a spicy 5x10 but they moved FAST today.

I'm not positive but I may have hit 300 x 10 once in my life before so I'm not worrying about reps PRs until it's about 315 x 10 ish.

Sounds like a rep PR would definitely be 305x10 if you only think you did 300x10 possibly at one point. ;)

Ok the apple stuff and apple pie is speaking my love language . Huge fan of pie, fritters , strudel, etc

Make cider by any chance?

You have cherries by chance. Rainier cherries are one of my favorite fruits

Yessir they did a big press about two weeks ago. I fermented a bunch more to give away some apple brandy come Christmas time

No cherries though, those are more east side. I honestly don't see them too much where we are weirdly enough!
