freakin pool table won't get delivered till saturday.

while I was looking around for accessories, I found these way coolio balls

not sure i'll get them, but they were made for a movie, The Adventures of Pluto Nash with Eddie Murphy. I had never seen it, so I watched it, and I want that 90 minutes of my life back.

Those are pretty nifty. As for the movie... Dude. If the title doesn't include a combination of the words "Eddie Murphy", "Raw", and/or "SNL", it simply is NOT worth the effort. YOU SHOULD KNOW BETTER!!!!

I would be completely okay with this if they were to relaunch TMNT with a more gritty atmosphere as depicted here.

And let us not forget the all popular "Turtle Power". Actually, if you watched any of the new stuff that came on Cartoon Network a few years ago, they already touched on a grittier and more violent version more in line with the old comics.

Yeah sure, but only to a degree. On YouTube there is this super sick trailer for a mortal kombat movie that was produced as a proof of concept. It's crazy awesome and gritty. Never gonna happen.

Actually it already did as a series of webisodes.

Yep. It was decent. They had to modify from the original trailer to make the studios happy though.

That video short was released over a year or so ago as Mortal Kombat Rebirth someone just retitled it there and is technically not correct. Which as grimace pointed out led to a web series called Mortal Kombat Legacy. Each episode is like 10 min long.

Legacy did not truly stay true to what the Rebirth short promised, but they are pretty good still over all.

I have yet to see any factual evidence to date for the release of a full feature length movie. Also if it does come out and is based more on Legacy rather than Rebirth I'll be a little disappointed.
 
The problem is the studios really do not want that gritty of a movie. The kind tht MK should be anyways. Sure the new batmans are dark, but MK scorpion ripping people apart gritty? Not quite.

You still have all the the legality, rights stuff to deal with which is going to be a huge obstacle to over come. I mean there have been lawsuits back and forth for quite some time already before this even.

It really shouldn't be that difficult an ordeal. And to be fair, it's not like they could do any worse than the original MK movies. amirtie?

I agree that to you and me it should be a simple process, but to the motion picture douche bags it doesn't work that way. After all these are the same people who brought you the SOPA and pipa bills to congress.

Oh yeah, I know how cumbersome (read stoopid,) it can be regarding liscensing rights and all that good stuff. All I'm saying is that it should be an easier process, especially when it would be a win:win. Even if you lose, you still get paid...albeit not as much. I really don't think another 'flop' would tanish the MK property any more than those first gems did. I hated those movies so much.

lol vida i workout at the VERY end of my day due to my schedule and being deployed so by the time i workout im already 3 means + a few protein shakes deep so the best i can do after i workout is just take 1 last protein shake :X

well, I spent enough money as it was on this, those moon rock balls are around $180 so i'm waiting a bit on those. Wasn't bad overall. $300 for the table, $350 to move it, $50 to replace one bad bumper, $125 for replacing the 6 pockets (old ones were falling apart) and $175 for replacing the felt (it was a light blue, really hideous). So $1050 altogether, delivered. They threw in a box of red chalk, something i hadn't even thought about :) Don't want to be using blue chalk on a red table.
 
The most expensive thing was the moving..... that angers me for some reason. Shouldn't that be included in the price?

I bought it off craigslist so not really. Theoretically could have moved it myself, but screw that with a slate table. Even at regular stores selling them new, they dont' include the delivery/setup into the cost.
