Elitism is derived from elite. I thought that was intuitive! How about defining the actual word we're using?...
Socialism is derived from social....so I guess if we define social we're good to go? :rofl:Elitism is derived from elite. I thought that was intuitive!
for some reason I got excited by thatPalin is cherry flavored.
however, there is nothing to confirm nor deny your understanding. So in essence, you dont really know. Coupled with the fact that McCain in directly linked financially to the head of the board, and it is guilt by association all aroundIt most certainly does! j/k. My understanding of what happened is that Ayers was an influential member of the foundation and pulled strings for Barry to get his position.
right, possibly by seceeding from the union. Hell, part of the rationale behind the civil war was SC as the original break after the Lincoln election in 60. Granted times have changed, but these things are not proamerican in 2008Well without getting too deep in Civil War history, 3 states did have clauses to secede from Union when they became part of the union. I believe they were New York, Delaware, and South Carolina. Given the 10th amendment stating all states are to have equal rights, that makes South Carolina and any other state seceding perfectly legal under the constitution.
The Civil War fundamentally changed the nature of the United States from state and local governments being the dominant influence in the union, to the federal government. Drawing similarities between South Carolina and Palin's husbands' group is like apples and refrigerators.
This is what they say their goals are:
The Alaskan Independence Party's goal is the vote we were entitled to in 1958, one choice from among the following four alternatives:
1) Remain a Territory.
2) Become a separate and Independent Nation.
3) Accept Commonwealth status.
4) Become a State.
The call for this vote is in furtherance of the dream of the Alaskan Independence Party's founding father, Joe Vogler, which was for Alaskans to achieve independence under a minimal government, fully responsive to the people, promoting a peaceful and lawful means of resolving differences.
If you read about the group they bring up numerous instances of the federal government regulating Alaska's affairs in roles that a state government traditionally does, such as hunting and fishing licenses, land sales, ect. This group's goal is to find solutions to these problems.
You and me bothfor some reason I got excited by that
Well, Obama was a nobody at the time, a guy just out of school. Its established Michelle had longstanding ties with Ayers prior to the project and that Barry had met the man. Then Barry magically gets on a board managing 150 million dollar. Yes theres no paper trail, but this wasn't a man wasn't just someone who lived down the street.however, there is nothing to confirm nor deny your understanding. So in essence, you dont really know. Coupled with the fact that McCain in directly linked financially to the head of the board, and it is guilt by association all around
I don't think a peaceful grassroots movement aimed at lobbying for Alaskan interest is anti-American. I haven't heard anything suggesting that the group is anything more than that.right, possibly by seceeding from the union. Hell, part of the rationale behind the civil war was SC as the original break after the Lincoln election in 60. Granted times have changed, but these things are not proamerican in 2008
Strait up... QUOTE OF THE YEAR... Bar none.Apples and refrigerators.
Your logic is impeccable! Keep entertaining yourself! And while you are at it, do more research on etymology and word derivations!Socialism is derived from social....so I guess if we define social we're good to go?
as much as I dont think she is necessarily the most intelligent, or do I agree with her policies, damn she is hot!!!You and me both
I will say this, i am no fan of Michelle, and I think there are a lot of skeletons there that are being hidden, just basing that on rumor. However, the comments by Palin of "Palling (sp?) around with terrorists" seem a bit much, considering the group that allowed Ayers to sit on the board donates to her and McCain's campaignWell, Obama was a nobody at the time, a guy just out of school. McCain received donation from the Annenberg. Obama had ties to a terrorist who very likely pulled strings to get him on the board. Apples and refrigerators.
well, just think of it this way. Imagine your comments if Obama was tied to itI don't think a peaceful grassroots movement aimed at lobbying for Alaskan interest is anti-American. I haven't heard anything suggesting that the group is anything more than that.
Russia huh, I knew you were red Kruger:rofl:Actually, the majority of the gap today is created from new money..mainly a benefit of globalization. The richest of the rich don't even reside here anymore. Russian grain moguls weren't very prevalent in the 80's and 90's
What, after FIVE KIDS?? :rofl:Palin is cherry flavored.
Quite a bit of difference between "you got a check from a foundation" to "you launched your political career in his living room"I will say this, i am no fan of Michelle, and I think there are a lot of skeletons there that are being hidden, just basing that on rumor. However, the comments by Palin of "Palling (sp?) around with terrorists" seem a bit much, considering the group that allowed Ayers to sit on the board donates to her and McCain's campaign
You keep fighting that good fight BW... your messiah will be pleased in the end.True enough, but "you launched your political career in his living room" is a lie. The woman who asked him to run for her seat when she ran for the Senate announced her Senate bid @ Ayers' home. Obama was invited.
Keep trying to make it look like collusion, though.
thank you for beating me to it. Of course though, the fact that McCain takes money from the founders of the board means nothing. I mean, obviously their (the Annenbergs) judgement is amazing as they allow a terrorist on their board and also support McCain. Top notch right thereTrue enough, but "you launched your political career in his living room" is a lie. The woman who asked him to run for her seat when she ran for the Senate announced her Senate bid @ Ayers' home. Obama was invited.
Keep trying to make it look like collusion, though.
Funny even other people there admit to holding Obama's "coming out" party in his living room, but probably the press has you convinced its otherwise.True enough, but "you launched your political career in his living room" is a lie. The woman who asked him to run for her seat when she ran for the Senate announced her Senate bid @ Ayers' home. Obama was invited.

That sounds like launching his political career doesnt it? but you go ahead and believe the liberal media its ok. You have it backwards, it wasn't her announcing her senate run there, it was her being there as Obama was being introducedDr. Young and another guest, Maria Warren, described it similarly: as an introduction to Hyde Park liberals of the handpicked successor to Palmer, a well-regarded figure on the left.
“When I first met Barack Obama, he was giving a standard, innocuous little talk in the living room of those two legends-in-their-own-minds, Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn,” Warren wrote on her blog in 2005. “They were launching him — introducing him to the Hyde Park community as the best thing since sliced bread.”
What magazines do you read to stay current? " Heehaw, all of them, heehaw".The Republican National Committee has spent more than $150,000 to clothe and accessorize vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin and her family since her surprise pick by John McCain in late August.
And the final straw for Palin and her allies was the news that the campaign had reported spending $150,000 on her clothes, turning her, again, into the butt of late-night humor.
"She never even set foot in these stores," the senior Republican said, noting Palin hadn't realized the cost when the clothes were brought to her in her Minnesota hotel room.
"It's completely out-of-control operatives," said the close ally outside the campaign. "She has no responsibility for that. It's incredibly frustrating for us and for her."
