RPN sued for Havoc

Unfortunately, I think he will win. Once they find out that this "supplement" is an active anabolic steroid and says nothing to suggest that on the label....it's over. It's just going to bring more attention to the "gray area" orals. Sucks

This guy is no different than .85 of the population. He bought a 'supp', got bad advice from some damn 'guru' and now he's screwed up and wants something for his pain and loss.

Whoever gave him advice is also to blame as much as himself. I say this only because I cannot believe the utter and pure bullsh$t that comes from many online boards, gnc, and vitaminshoppes around this country....nearly ever board we visit, there a hundreds of threads that have someone giving bad advice or poorly structured advice.

This has a very small chance of going over. Ever proper path has been followed with labeling...and, there are thousands of sources from which he could have consulted, regardless of the lame sources which he did consult. This isn't an obscure product, it's well known and much info has followed it. It doesn't matter if the courts say it's a steroid or not...it's not banned and it reads that he should consult a doctor before taking. The big one is that it says that it is a prohormone...this guy doesn't stand a chance.

you know he's going to win this lawsuit right? theres not a doubt in my mind. even if he is an idiot that's whats going to happen....but i don't know how this stuff cause that kinda stuff....well i do understand...but i know a guy who was on some kind of cycle or another for 6 years supposively who did tons of coke and special k all the time and he's still kicking...his liver is pretty banged up but he still is able to function and live a normal life

You do realize that this happens yearly to companies and nothing ever comes of it?
This is one of those stories that just had 'it' and a moron of a reporter to report it..it'll go no where period.

BAM. So true right here.

I do believe my favorite piece to the pie on the message boards is that things are touted as 100% safe without real testing. Stuff comes out everyday around here and claimed 100% safe. Then a turn of the head you see someone blasting big pharma non stop, even though they do a dozen years of testing, then give the real side effects, instead of the normal "Consult a physician" statement.

People are too trusting around here, and some do give some horrible advise.

Correct, you are!

Well, if you can sue Mcdonalds for $1 million dollars for burning your mouth on a cup of coffee and win....I wouldn't rule anything out

I want to really meet this dumbass.
Blaming someone else for the idiocy that an individual does is a cop-out. As a wise man once said, "If you jerk off in to the wind, you're bound to get jizz in your own eye."

LMAO! I've never heard this before - funny!

THIS IS THE CASE THAT HAS RPN UNDER POSSIBLE SHUT DOWN???

WOW. I had no clue this was the actual matter that RPN was under. I remember reading this thread a while ago but was now informed that this was the actual matter RPN is handling. I guess the suit over crossed my mind because I was so overwhelmed at the fact that this guy ran Havoc for freakin 5 MONTHS...STRAIGHT!!

Usually companies get sued for something that they DO NOT warn or disclaim. I have never ran Havoc or any PH but almost all of them warn to not exceed 4 straight weeks of continuous use without equal or greater off-time in between and also highly recommend a proper PCT follow-up. Also was this guy 21 or over? And I'm willing to bet he probably didn't follow the dosage protocol properly either. I cannot believe this is the case that is fcking up RPN right now, ridiculous. It's guys like this idiot that puts every company, PH product in their line or not, under the risk of a raid. Only one word describes this guy and his case, complete STUPIDITY. I hope Matt's legal team bury this guy.

We need to get the Gambinos on that terrible excuse for an imbecile.

Is this why you can't find anything on Nut Planet or BB anymore?

Jessep, here is the link...sad news

No one wanted to listen to me about them finding an ACTIVE ANABOLIC STEROID in the product. I saw this coming the second i heard the story. Saying "it's not banned" and whatever else is WAY beside the point. Go try and buy your "grey area" anabolics now. They sold a kid a lot of steroids and he ****ed himself up without knowing it was a steroid. Sounds like they have a damn good case on their hands. I don't see where some of you guys are coming from.

Carrots don't come with a disclaimer saying that they should only be eaten as part of a balanced diet. Eat nothing but carrots and you're dead within three days. Who do you sue then?

PH products have product advisories on them that advise max cycle lengths of typically 4-6 weeks max. Not months on end like this ****wit did.

If I go to the doc and get some vico and shoehorn a whole bottle down my throat and ignore the dosage advice, I also die. Is that the doctor's fault? The company who made the vico in the first place? Or would I just be a dip**** who did the world a favour by removing myself from the global gene-pool?

**** dude, most people don't even take fishoil tabs above the recommended dosages on the packaging.

So in closing, **** this kid. **** him in his stupid ass.

Kid ****ed himself up by ignoring all common sense and product recommended doses. The issue isn't whether it's an anabolic steroid, grey market ph or anything inbetween. It's an issue about responsible use and responsible users.

And this, here again is the issues with young kids and these products. They are not responsible enough to take them and it makes it bad for everyone else that is.

Buncha ****in hypocrites here. First, tell me who asked for ID from a kid when selling them a steroid? Next, Who here went above the recommended dosing for alcohol prior to being 21? Anyone drink themselves to puke before 21?

The kid ****ed himself up, guess what... kids do that. Do I think the lawsuit is pointed in the right direction? Nope, I think whoever sold underage kids the product should be at fault. But i can see why a suit is in process. Hell.. I see adults quadrupling the dose of product here... there is a thread called lets kill my liver.

And...?

**** them in their stupid asses too.

You can't legislate stupid out of existence mate. That's why there are Darwin awards.

Age is not a factor in itself to remove the stupid from a product use.
using a product in a manner not intended is an action that falls on the use, imho.

If I huff paint I can't being a case on the paint company... well I could but it wouldn't last.

This isn't a viable argument. We are talking something made to be ingested and soemthing that is not... you can still sue tobacco corp for lung disease.

I think most people are still missing what I'm getting at. Disregarding directions, warnings etc. Still has nothing to do with it. Carrots, Too much water (hyponatremia), all kinds of natural **** can kill you. Carrots don't contain Steroids. There are energy drinks out there with warnings on them. What if they found out there was a derivative of methamphetamine in them? Massive class action law suits would be filed. The fact is they were selling a steroid with every term but 'Steroid' on the bottle. When the DEA finds out about this what do you think they're gonna/have to do? The jury hears the story about how a kid was sold steroids at at a health store without knowing it. Now has an incurable disease. Who's side do you think the jury's gonna take? C'mon? I'm as pissed as everyone else I can't easily go buy my orals, but this seems like a no brainer to me.

The compound listed on the bottle is exactly what it contained. "Without knowing it" implies there was something spiked, when there wasn't

Obviously, I can't comment much since this is an ongoing case - but your premise is invalid.

This was the kinda guy RPN was hoping to avoid, as a customer. Why do you think you don't see these ridiculous ads in magazines. RPN wants intelligent people, who research what they put in their bodies.

This kid has no valid argument.

Would you consume, even a basic test booster for five months straight?

I'm sick and tired of reading about morons, suing people, and winning, making everyone else pay for their lack of common sense.

goes back to the @$$hole who sued McDonald's because he spilled hot coffee on himself.

It's a damn shame, whats happening to Matt and RPN. I hope they prosper, and this kid pay's.

This kinda **** aggravates me so much, that I can't truley put my feelings into words.

Like Matt said, it was labeled correctly. It was missuse that caused the problem. Why should Matt be held accountable? The suit will claim that it was a grey area product really not legal and which contained a steriod. Again, who do you think the jury will more than likely side with? It sucks big time for him.
But again, there are idiots out there who will push the limit or ignore directions altogether (on purpose or unknowingly).

So when you say pays then are you saying that you hope that this kid dies?

I feel bad for the kid. I really do, but he brought this on himself.

I think maybe the suite was brought about more, because of the parents. Unless they are "active" in the fitness - supplement world, they're just as ignorant as he is. How else are they going to hope for redemption, and pay for his medical bills?

I ran into a guy last year selling spawn out of his trunk; he was telling kids that it was all natural. I told them that the supplement is anything but natural...the guy tried to argue me down saying it was natural. After I hit my treo and showed him the actual write-ups, he was shyyyat faced. I asked him if he had a business license and sales tax number. He said no. I asked how was he legally selling it then.

I told him that he needs to research wtf he is trying to sell to H.S. kids because many of those natural supplements are not tribulus and fenugreek. He got pissed and was ready to fight me about it....i was hoping he would swing, praying that he would...he jumped in his car and hauled ass...I despise people like this, online and off....

I don't know the whole story, have no idea how he got it.

I know that if he got it from some retailer, especially gnc, the guy behind the counter should be sued and that branch. They did not do their part in checking for ID. The bottle says (I believe???) 21 yrs and older? Hell, people have served time for selling alcohol to underage kids, why not the guy that sold it to him or gnc pay a price? Unless he purchased it online then it's solely on the person that bought it. If he went into a store, the worker, store and himself should share the blame.

NOTE: I have no idea if havoc was even available in gnc or any shoppe.

this is reallly tragic.

I don't know what Ill do without havoc....

I hope IBE stays up.....is epistane going to last ??? Nothing compares to this hormone as far as gains vs. sides. Not even the prescription drugs.

People being able to sue tobacco companies is a perfect example of not having personal responsibility... There's a difference between having a legitimate complaint and cause versus those looking to make a quick buck because they can.

Havoc is not an issue of an unknown product and unknown warnings...

K Jay, we will leave it at that.

Although you are completely wrong on the unknown warnings. Unless you can show me the decades of studies provided for epi/havoc that tobacco/alcohol/Tylenol carry?

Not unknown potential long term sides but there isn't even anything on that in regards to actual confirmed steroid use in the manner which most weight lifters use it.

However, I was actually referring to unknown warnings in relation to dose and cycle; specifically addressing the 5 month continuous cycle this kid supposedly ran.

Wanted to add that if you want decades of studies for potential long term effects in any supplement you're probably not going to find it. There's a reason a different method is used as well as controlled when talking talking about supplements and drugs.

Then you have to ask the questions

1. Was there research doneto the current standards?
2. Was the methods of control between supply and end product done by standards?
3. Was there any knowledge by anyone putting the product out that could of prevented the eventual market or delayed it but was ignored?
4. Was there an issue with what the product was and what is was sold as?

Of course there are a lot of other legal issues addressed when it comes to these lawsuits. I just don't think it's rational to think that you're getting any product supp or drug that is a 100% safe with no chance of future science changing that initial claim. Does it suck to be at the receiving end of this? Of course it does but sometimes there isn't a guy grinning from ear to ear knowing all along what he was doing. I have no problem attempting to find those answers either but this is in reference to this kid specifically.

If those concerns I made above are addressed and found to be good to go then it falls solely on the users shoulders (imho), when they go and use a product in a manner not intended or instructed to be used.

Has anyone else seen this. Apparently some douche was taking Havoc for 5 months and now is trying to sue RPN because he's having issues. Here's a clip from Ironmagazine Blog

I mean if you didn't research the compound first to know what it was or how to take it I could see this happening. But why wouldn't you? its' morons like this that have no clue what they are putting in their bodies (but won't it get me hugez) that f**k it up for everyone else. I'd seriously like to smack this guy upside his head and ask him what the hell was he thinking.

All I have to say is wow. It reminds me of the lady who sued McDonalds because she put her coffee between her legs, drove off too fast, spilled it in her lap and was burned.

I made the mistake of taking superdrol and it screwed up my liver bad from only a few days of use...ALT in the 600's. I certainly didn't sue CEL. I hope this kid breaks his neck.

Weren't you taking almost twice the amount?

I took p-plex for about 2 weeks or so at around 3pill/day. It didn't do ANYTHING at all. NOTHING. No pumps, no fullness, no water retention, nothing! So I switched to M-drol for about 9 days at 10mg/day. Immediately I swelled up, rock hard, huge pumps, and then extreme anxiety/insomnia hit me. Checked liver values and they were off the chart. 2 weeks later they dropped in half, and 2 weeks after that completely back to normal.

Most people check their enzymes AFTER pct. I bet if you checked them on cycle with something like SD you'd see some terrible numbers. Havoc/epi on the other hand generally yeilds alt/ast around the 50's ON cycle. So, f*ck SD. But, I have no intention to ruin it for everyone else.

This kid was obviously a complete idiot, or he knew what he was getting into and played hard-ass. "Its just a tiny capsule how could it hurt me, its not like I'm injecting real steroids"

I think it's a given for most if not all that their values would be severly screwed if the get bloodwork in the middle of a cycle...when I was cycling, I knew my values looked like death during cycle but, honestly, that was normal for me...been that way since the mid 90's...i was never concerned about values 4 wks into cycles...more concerned 2-3 weeks after.
This kid should get some of the blame but if he purchased at an actual store where they ere suppoed to check I'd then 2 sets of person are responsible.
