I felt slightly masochistic today and decided to throw in some drop sets at the end to really fry out my muscles. I have one simple parameter when I do this session: do I cramp while washing my hair? Today, the answer was yes, especially in my inner chest and brachialis. I had a great pump and M-M connection despite my cranky rotator cuff. Also, I should add that the DOMS in my thighs is brutal right now. I'm walking around like a cripple and most of my campus is hills. FML.

I still feel great, though, and sleep has been excellent lately. Most of my body is sore, but all I think about right now is a way to blast my triceps and delts on Friday night. After that, I'm going to take the weekend off and test my maxes on M, W, and F to make my final assessment of the ecdy. So far, I have seen a 2-3 lb increase on the scale along with noticeable leaning in the torso. The fat is starting to break and has that gelatinous feeling right now. I would have loved to not have had a URI during this so I could have sparred, but sh!t happens.

I have tried large doses of ecdy over the years with disappointing results. I read that ecdy on works if injected, apparently that’s how the Russians did it. Since an injectable is illegal sublingual is probably the next best thing. I'm not sure of the MW of ecdy but maybe it could be made into a transdermal as well. Either way I am interested in this product not only because of its ability to increase strength and build muscle but also because of its potential health benefits.

MW of 20hydroxyecdysterone C27H44O7 = 480

This is large for transdermal delivery, but do-able. In practice I find the following homebrew to be effective:

- 8oz 91% isopropyl alcohol
- 6-10g of HPLC tested 20-H base, ideally extracted from Rhaponticum Carthamoides
- 4oz d-limonene or orange cleaner containing same
- 2oz DMSO

The DMSO is essential, as it will take such a large MW molecule through the skin. When not using DMSO, I'm not confident d-limonene or another carrier is enough to get it through. The d-limonene does mask the DMSO smell somewhat, making it tolerable.

Transdermal is the only delivery method I've ever used where I felt 20-H "worked". To be fair, I haven't tried LG's sublingual (although I'd like to hint hint!).

DC Stretches

This was a great session in every sense. The reps kept coming and the pump was awesome I even got some vascularity in my biceps and forearms after just a few sets of DB presses. I had to warm-up my rotator cuffs, but there was no pain during any of the heavy sets. Today begins my strength evaluation and I have already hit some of my PRs (Front Squats, P-P).

This is such a great log, Rodja! Very detailed and easy to read. Glad you're seeing improvements.

Would you mind giving a quick recap? What you've seen so far, possibly comparing it to other Ecdy products; just a summary would be great. Not a review or anything.

The main thing that I have noticed are the aesthetics. By that, I mean that I have seen increased fat loss, vascularity, and muscle fullness. Compared to other ecdy products, this one has given me about the same amount of LBM gain and it's even more impressive considering that I was only 19 when I experienced great LBM gains on ecdy; I went from 170-175 in a few weeks. This time, I have gone from 196-200 while not being in a major caloric surplus and much better strength gains than usual.

The main difference between this ecdy and every other form of ecdy I've used is the aggression. It was noticeable within the first week and has stayed consistent. It's not quite as intense as a PH/DS or the old version of Activate X, but it is very nice. I honestly think that this is going to be the halcyon of this product.

Dynamic Stretches

I went back to my strength routine after a 1-week hiatus due to finals. This week is going to be my strength assessment for this ecdy product and I had already hit some of my goals before this week (Front Squats, SLDL).

I did not reach my goal on Dips (BW+115x5)
I did not reach my goal on Chins (BWx10); however, this was intended to be done over multiple sets and not just one. I could easily do this for 1 set, but not for 4.
I did reach my goal on P-P (195x3)

There are some factors that played into this. I really believe that I could have reached these if I had some more time and I was battling some injuries. Vertical pulling has always been difficult for me and I did make some solid progress on them over this run; I increased my reps by 2 on every set. Dips are a strong point of mine, but I have stalled out on them for quite some time now. Despite this, the session was really nice.

Great log as usual brother. Im excited to try this product myself, seems like it added some nice aspects to your training!

Nice job on the log. So in your opinion the aggression aspect of the product is what you felt the most?

Thank you!

Yes. The aggression/focus is the most noticeable aspect of this. It has the VO2 increasing capabilities that I expected, but the aggression is definitely new.

That sounds pretty awesome.

I'm thinking I'll hop on some Natatropin+Ecdy when given the chance. :bigok:

DC Stretches
Foam Roll

This was the final thigh session of this ecdy run and I was quite satisfied. Both of my PR goals were met and I really surpassed my goal for SLDL. I tried to go even higher on the Front Squats, but I just didn't have it in me on this day. Hopefully, I can set another PR on my final session tomorrow.

Dynamic/Static Stretches

This, unfortunately, was not a good session and a rather disappointing way to end this log. The weight just felt heavy this day and weights that I usually use a warm-up felt like a working set. Plus, my erectors were still fried from my thigh session.

I will have my full review and stats coming tomorrow.

FINAL REVIEW

Dosing on this lasted 31 days. I started at a sloppy 200 lbs and ended up at 198 with much, much more definition, vascularity, fullness, and less water-retention.

Lifts (Goal/Actual):

Dips: BW+115x5/BW+100x5
P-P: 195x3/195x3
Chins: BWx10/BWx8
DB Press: 100x5/90x5
Incline Press: 205x1/195x1
Front Squat: 245x1/245x1
SLDL: 305x3/315x3

I only reached my goal on 3 of 7 lifts, but I did have some very high expectations for this. There are some things I could have done differently and I was logging this towards the end of the semester during my projects, finals, etc. and that had a huge effect on this log. The first two weeks were spectacular, but then school really started to kick my ass and my lifts started to suffer. I was just too exhausted.

Pros:
Pumps
Recovery
Usual ecdy effects which is increased fullness, vascularity, and cardio
Increased aggressions (this was a new effect for ecdy on me)
Increased appetite; I've noticed a high correlation between increased appetite and increased cardio capacity. I am guessing this is due to increased RBC count.

Cons:
Dosing was a pain in the ass sometimes; I missed several doses because I left the bottle at home
Sprayer would clog

Overall:
I really like the approach that LG took with this product. The first run I had with ecdy was back in '03 and it used a similar delivery system, which was to swish the solution in the mouth for increased absorption. This didn't have nearly the same effects, but I was also a relative novice at the time. My recovery between sets was very good and the pumps were lots of fun (even painful at times). I didn't get 4/7 of my goals, but I have a hard time advancing my upper-body, particularly my chest and school had an incalculable toll on this.

I'd give this a 7/10 ranking based upon the obvious effects of this along with the innovation and surprises. FYI, a 5/10 would be expected effects and the only thing that held this back from a higher ranking was the sprayer. If this was an oral syringe, then it would have be at 8/10.

Thanks for the log and review, Rodja! I know what you mean about the sprayer, as my GHenerate can clog sometimes.

Awesome review man! Looks like this is a product Eric may have to take to mass production after reading your log.

Thanks again for taking the time and putting in a great effort to log.
