Well I spent too much time reading my materials for personal training via Renegade Training International and lost track of time so my off day...is going to be an off day, haha. I will do some Rx movements and maybe some AB work...but thats about it.
 
No real update for today as it was a day off. Did some Rx positions and light cardio and then went to work. Fun.

Carbed a little heavier than usual as tomorrow is legs so that should be a smashing good time, haha. I just did KB's yesterday which use a good amount of leg in them...so hopefully i'm up to it. If not, i'll figure something out. I always do :)
 
Do legs anyway!! Nat used to make me so sore that I limped around and could not walk for 4 days. But On Wed 2 days after leg day she would have me do light leg work. Now i used to think this was imposssible, but after doing it the soreness would get better.

10/30/08 - Day 25

Overview : My training is changing!! haha I knew it was going to so i'm not too surprised. Whats happening is since I am taking on a client that wants to play professional football, I have begun training for football again, haha. It happens to me anytime I change around my clients a bit. I guess it's actually for the best since no workouts really get to be TOO comfortable and my muscle confusion is at max....but the workouts I was doing were working just as well as changing up often. Who knows, maybe i'll try to stick with them...or maybe i'll succumb to the football madness and toss a jersey on ;)

I am stuck thinking of a very popular phrase all day today. "When it rains, It pours". As things began to start looking up...down they go again. I have never been very close to my father's side of the family so it isn't effecting ME greatly, but my father's brother (my uncle) has been placed in hospice and hasn't been given much longer. What hurts me is to see how bad my father is hurting. His only real family left are his brother and his kids. It sucks. On top of that, when I got into work today they decided it was sh!t on Chuck day and people basically just took turns yelling at me for things that the AM shift did not complete before I arrived. It was one hell of a day.

Thanks bro...I appreciate it. I am personally alright. It's sad to say but I only met him a handful of times because most of my fathers side of the family I don't get along with all that well. It's just sad to see my father the way he is. Greg (my uncle) was 67 and my father is 69....so my dad is hurting pretty bad. The only three times I have EVER seen my father cry were when my brother passed away, the day after Mickey Mantle passed away (we were at the ball game and they announced it and had a moment of silence...which was really a moment of a stadium worth of people sobbing), and today.
 
I hope your dad can take peace that his brother is no longer suffering. My dad passed in June and this will be our first holidays without him. But I would not change it to bring him here as he was. He is no longer suffering and he died before he got worse!

yeah I know what you mean C. I actually felt like a sh1tty son because I still went in to work today...but I knew there was no one to cover me and I (modestly) am the best manager there by far.

I told them I am taking beaurevement (sp?) time the next few days to be with my father.
 
10/31/08 - Day 26

Overview : Happy Halloween everyone. I woke up to the news about my Uncle so the day started kind of rough. I then had a kettlebell class to teach (one person cancelled so I only had one class) and that went really well. He is picking up a great deal of knowledge and is really loving his workouts. I'm glad that i've been able to help as much as I have. I start working full time with the football athlete monday morning. I also have some football stuff as well as some hockey stuff set up for tuesday already.

Didn't do much else today really. I wanted to make a day of spending time with family but I had to go in to work. I am taking off the next few days though so maybe things will be able to settle in. I plan to go for some HIIT tomorrow and maybe some compound lifts. Who knows.

Thursday - Eh:
Just some light KB work and 30 seconds of each Rx Position for each leg.

Meals:
Meal #1 - bowl of shredded wheat with 8oz skim, 1 med banana
Meal #2 - Chicken Breast with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese
Meal #3 - *pictured below* Sirloin tips in light gravy, romaine lettuce, a piece of chicken breast (on bone), a whole grain dinner roll
Meal #4 - Whole grain dinner roll and a cup of tuscan turkey soup
Meal #5 - EAS AdvantEDGE RTD (yeah I know...they suck)

Anyone have any suggestions on final goals for the end of the log (March 3rd)? I originally just wanted to throw some mass on...but it just feels so much more appealing to me to continue adding stength and shaping up while doing so (which I think I can attain easily). Being as how i'll be training a future AFL running back, I will be spending my lift days still lifting heavy, but on other days I will be in the trenches with him doing sprints, high knees, agility ladders, high jumps, running patterns, bear crawls, tumbles, hurdles, etc.

I need some feedback.

First of all I want to say thank you. I appreciate that you would take the time to say that.

I love ZMK personally. I've been using it probably over 6 months now steadily and the effects have not dulled or gotten any different for me. One of my favorite supps of all time. Stacked with Somnidren GH it's simply unbeatable (and i've tried a lot of them)

I also want to thank you for following along. This is the first time i'm seein ya in here so Welcome!

I've actually always had better results at shooting for goals of fitness itself. Rather than saying I want to reach a weight/bf% ... I will say something like "if my standing long jump is 5 feet...on March 3rd I want it to be 6.3 feet" or ya know...something along those lines. I tend to train harder when I have goals of sheer fitness rather than (what is usually the case) goals of vanity.

I apologize in advance to anyone who takes that personally. I'm not saying trying to reach a certain weight/bf% is vain...i'm saying that most people I have known personally with goals like that were doing it because they want to look good on the beach that summer. I do this because I want to feel good and live a longer and healthier life. The first step in any TRUE exercise regimen is adding quality to your life :)

Cordygen is a product made from a very potent strand of cordyceps. The difference between our cordyceps and the regular bulk kind is that they are grown with a solid state method rather than a liquid cultivation method which drastically changes how effective the compound can be. With the solid state the process takes about 24 weeks before the strand is ready to be harvested in which time it has used about 98% of the solids in which it is grown on. With those goals you have listed, it sounds like asking about Cordygen was the best thing you could do ;). There is absolutely 100% no doubt in my mind that Cordygen 5, Cordygen v02, Citruvol Xs, or Cre-02 can help get you towards your goals. I have been known to make a bold statement or 2 in my day...but if you purchase a bottle of the Cordygen products and it does not work for you, I will send you a bottle of whatever MST product you would like out of my personal stash. THAT...is how confident I am.
 
Wow man thats an offer hard to resist! Does it in any way increase ATP? It helps with oxygen absorption(not sure if thats the right word) also right? Is it safe for my age?(17)
 
Cordygen 5 increases ATP by 30%!!! It also increases oxygen utilization by 40%!!! It is a truly amazing product. I have trouble choosing between Cordygen5 and Cre-02 as my favorite supplement of all time. I can remember the first day I took both of them so easily though....I can't decide which day was more shocking, haha. The fact I could run and run and run and run and have my heart racing but not be breathing heavy, or I could lift and lift and lift and have my heart racing but not get tired, want to lift more, and not be breathing heavy.

Cordygen v02 is much the same except the release is timed differently. Many days when I do "cardio"...I am at it for very long durations. My cardio sessions are rarely running. Its usually tennis (4+ hours), swimming, football, hockey, etc. For a long duration of cardio you'd want Cordygen5. For shorter duration you'd want Cordygen v02. v02 I noticed also gave me a hightened mood as well...which was an interesting side effect!

Either way...great products.

SATURDAY: SPRINT TRAINING

10 X 100 meter sprints (week 5)

12 X 100 meter sprints (week 6)

After Sprinting session:

3 x Side Bridge to Failure (per side, both weeks)

3 x Prone Bridge to Failure (per side, both weeks)

Begin with the standard warm up procedure.

Stretch hamstrings holding each stretch for 20 seconds.

Perform 1 sprint at 50% speed, a second at 75% speed, then begin the workout.

Run each working sprint at 100% speed.

Run through the 50 meter mark.

Walk back to the start, sprint the next.

Finish with the standard cool down and static stretch.

TUESDAY: HIIT

Do 6 circuits.

Rest only as much as I need to between exercises and circuits.


* 12 Burpees
* 100 meter Sprint
* 10 Push ups à side bridge
* Prone bridge to failure
* Walk back to starting line and repeat

No need to apologize, and no need to delete. Cordygen v02 is a stronger compound in the respect that it is not time released but that it kicks in all at once directly. If your cardio sessions are under 1.5 hours...I would say to go ahead and get Cordygen v02. If however there are days you run over that time....or that you are lifting and then doing cardio or cardio in the AM and lifting in the afternoon...i'd change my opinion to Cordygen5. All depends on what you're shooting for. A little extra ATP and Oxygen Utilization right away or one that could potentially last up to 12 hours.

Good choice. The recommendation for v02 alone is around 4 caps. Stacking it with Cre-02 you should start out with 2 caps. If it works well, stay with that. If it isn't enough for you...then up it by 1 until you hit the sweet spot. No need to go wasting money right? :)

haha everyone needs a little fun every now and then. I was invited to a few this year but decided to neg them all...halloween really isn't my thing most years. Sometimes I get really amped about it...but usually not. The depressing part of today was my girlfriend took her daughter out trick or treating and I didn't get to go along because of work. Maybe next year!

Seriously though : You'll notice the effects of Cordygen while sitting still, haha. It really effects your breathing that much.
