Putting Epitome to the test!

Thanks! The log takes some time to put together, Im hoping for good results as well, I have 3-4 bottles of epitome so I can run it for awhile and keep the log going.....it makes it much easier to do and put the time in when I have people following along, thanks again!

Doing great Wep, keep it up man, you got this.

Following and cheering along my man. Let's knock some fat out. I know you can!

So I will have week 2 results coming soon. I have to say I feel like epitome is having a recomp effect and the sweating is the most pronounced effect..

Awesome. I'm down about 6 pounds since starting a few weeks ago.

End of Week 2/Start of Week 3

Okay, here it is:

***Week results in bold

Weight- 230.8 (228.8) - 2lbs

Skinfold Measurements

Tri- 14 12 (-2)
Bi- 10 (12) (+2)
Back/Shoulder-20 (20)
Waist-32 (32)
BF% - roughly same

Circumference
Rt Arm- 15 (15)
Left Arm- 15 (15)
Waist-42.5 (42.5)
Hips- 40 (39.5)
Glute- 43.5 (43)
Rt Calf- 16 (16)
Lt Calf- 16 (16)
Chest/Back (Nipple)-46 (45.5)
Neck-15.25 (15.25)

Summary- Overall there was a little weight loss (2 lbs) and some circumference changes, nothing crazy. My diet was on point this week, Im thinking about adjusting it and maybe droppin some of the carbs. Any suggestions? Although 2 lbs in a week is not a bad deal at all. I am also ramping up the cardio this week.

Effects- I have been noticing the increased sweating definitely. As far as noticeable effects my appetite has fluctuated like crazy, I will completely forget about eating and have to remind myself some days whereas others I feel like im starving!

I will continue to post and monitor it. Im glad to break out of the 230s, not long ago I was up at 237 and feeling like I was not going to be able to break back down...

Are you cycling your carbs or keeping them stready every day?

Suggestion:

Consume lower amount of carbs/calories on rest days from lifting. Consume higher on days you lift especially in the pre/post workout time frame.

I will give that a shot, I think Im going to decrease calories altogether and try to cycle it that way. Ill update the thread

Yeah, I would definitely throw a few very low carb days into the mix. Try for less than 60, not including fiber-heavy greens.

I've seen strong results by adding just two days of very low carbs.

I tried going back to my normal carb intake yesterday (bulking level) and put on some fat. Back to restriction today and it's coming back off quickly.

That's promising, i haven't done much in the way of carb cycling, I've tried the keto diets and other things before, hopefully this will help...but really I can't complain about the 2 lbs, it's progress, just keep it going in the right direction

Okay I'll definitely work that in and see where it goes, so off days super low carbs + mid carb day and high carb for leg day

You don't have to go through the misery of keto diets if they aren't your thing. Just see if you can do two days a week when you aren't lifting where you can decrease carbs as much as possible. I think you will be pleased after a month with what you see.

High carb leg day is a VERY smart choice.

I havent messed with zero/low carb days in a while. I normally dont eat tremendously high carbs anyway. Do you think it would be beneficial to change my lifting style and try to do 3 full body workouts a week and mess with a carb cycle or to stick with what im doing and max in days where I vary my carbs?

and adding in the low carb days I may need to pick up a preworkout or start to utilize some of the Monster Zeros...any suggestions on a good preworkout? I need to stay away from anything with Yohimbe, I get crazy sinus issues from it...

Results from Week 3

Good morning everyone! I wasnt able to do the skinfold measurements this morning but I was able to weigh myself and go by circumference. I am pretty sure the skinfold measurements have been a little off anyway. I am thinking of picking up one of those handheld bf% and judge by that. It may not be perfect but at least it should show a level of progress or regress, any thoughts?

***Week results in bold

Weight- 228.8 (229)

Circumference
Rt Arm- 15 (15)
Left Arm- 15 (15)
Waist-42.5 (42.5)
Hips- 39.5 (39.5)
Glute- 43 (42.5)
Rt Calf- 16 (16)
Lt Calf- 16 (16)
Chest/Back (Nipple)-46.5 (44)
Neck-15.25 (15.25)

Observations- I dont think I mentioned much about appetite during this log. During the initial part of this so far I did not notice an appetite crash like some of the other people. Thinking about it I did not feel an overall urge to eat, but I did not have a problem eating whenever I reminded myself to eat. During this past week I noticed that Epitome has really reduced my cravings. Around easter there is always a lot of candy around and while I do not normally have a terrible sweet tooth, I do LOVE Reeses, and they are everywhere around. I noticed that even when I was hungry I was not eating them, just did not want to. That is a TESTAMENT to the product because I wouldve devoured them before.

I also noticed that my weight may be staying around the same, I am including pictures and I dont know if they will really do justice to it, but there have been some noticeable effects mirror-wise that I cant seem to capture. For instance, my face, legs, shoulders/traps, and arms (to a smaller extent) all seem to be becoming more defined which is totally on par for when I was losing weight previously.

I continue to notice the increase in body temperature and the sweating. The sweating is much crazier the closer I take it to a meal.

Planned Diet Changes- Seeing as the results have not changed on the scale, it was suggested above that I try and cycle my carbs, I will follow the recommendation and try to lower my calories on the diet, roughly 500 calories and plan my week with Low carb (LC)- medium carb- LC-MC-LC-HC-MC, I am going to schedule my high carb day around my leg workout.

I have also noticed a slight lethargy on some days and Im sure that it is a combination of my crazy work schedule during this time and the plan, adding in low carb days I expect that to increase, so I am going to pick up a preworkout. I picked up a bottle of the one from Olympus Labs based upon the recommendation above. I have been on Mysosynergy, Strafe and Epitome long enough that I feel I will be able to differentiate the results.

Again, sorry for the long post, I want to really try to keep it as detailed as possible. Thanks for following along!!!

I love the detail of the posts! Weird thing with my last week of Epitome, the scale didn't move (similar to you) but the mirror progress and picture progress was my best week yet!

Yeah I know it's a lot of rambling but I said I'd give honest feedback, trying my best to do so

Yeah the scale stayed the same but there is a different of nearly 3 inches circumference. I have my Gf trying to use the calipers, she isn't used to doing it and has a hard time so I think the +/- may be just the same as using one of those bf scales...

But I've been pretty strict with where I am measuring circumference, and i do not do it the day after lifts, i try to take it the morning after an off day..

I am looking at it as some pretty good progress so far. I KILLED the workout saturday, I'll have to log it, it was the best I've felt in awhile...

Simply awesome glad you are feeling good.

I'm adding Absolutely Abliderated into the mix with my second bottle of Epitome.

Thanks, you think the topicals will benefit someone who is as high in bf as I am?

The Abliderate series could potentially have some benefits for you. I can't find the old pictures of fire drake who was higher BF and used it with great results. It's not something you have to do, but if budget allows it might be worth giving a try. I would definitely opt for Absolutely Abliderated over Abliderate Advanced.

Alright im good with that, that's close to what I had just reorganized, more periods of lc than the every other day that I was doing.

Today was low carb #1, no issues at all and a decent workout tonight, logging the last two workouts in a few minutes

Last Few Workouts

Overall I have been feeling really good the past few days....

Saturday 4/11- Chest/back

Flat db bench press supersetted with tbar rows= 12,10,8
Incline db pullovers supersetted with db pullovers= 12,10,8

Deadlifts- 8,5,5,2 (pulled 365, that was a good push for me, I havent really pushed deadlifts in a while)
Incline cable fly- 3x 8-12
Snatch-Grip High Rows- 6,6,5

27 minutes on the elliptical (5 minutes warmup, 20 minutes of 15 second sprints and 45 second jog, 2 minute cooldown)

Monday 4/13- Shoudlers

Behind the head shoulder presses- 3x8-15 (very strict, havent pulled these out in a LONG time, shoulder felt great!)
Reverse DB fly w/ Y raises- 12(8), 10(8), 10(8)
Cable Lat Raises- 3x 8 (each side)
Machine Lat Raises- 3x 8-12
Wide Grip Upright Rows supersetted with Wide grip shrugs- 3x6-12

25 minute run- 5 minute warm-up then alternating 60 seconds jogging w/ 90 seconds walking... (im following the couch-2-5k running program to try and build up to that 5k Ive been talking about)

Observations- I have honestly felt great the past few days, I was a little sore from the deadlifts (lower back) but it only lasted the next morning, Strafe has been an ANIMAL alleviating the DOMS, Myosynergy caused slight DOMS when I started it but the addition of Strafe has been crazy. I dont know if anyone thinks the pictures show progress but losing inches is definitely not something to complain about.

Today was a low carb day for me and it was not a problem with Epitome. My only problem was I ended up not eating enough, according to MFP I was at 1,270 calories with 36g carb, 48g fat and 171g protein. I will have to tweak that tomorrow...I am also thinking of trying to log my diet more here, any interest? I know Ive kept this pretty detailed...

I wouldn't log your diet everyday. But, I'd log your HC day, one med and your low days here for extra accountability and maybe suggestions.

Geez that low day though lol your macros fell short! You'll get it adjusted though, keep hammerin

Yeah thats where I felt the epitome appetite control the most, I had a hard workout on no calories and felt like I could go more...i even sat in the sauna for 5 minutes after running....

Any ideas where to get it? I didnt see it on the shopify store, nutraplanet, orbit or TSG

I will have to search when I get home and PM you. I think a few places still have it I can hook you up with.

Sounds good, i might give that a try...i have 2 unopened bottles of epitome. I may wait until halfway through to add it and see if it makes a difference.

If I continue the slow and steady I may pick up another bottle. Maybe I'll turn the corner and come up with some numbers soon..

Workout tonight- Arms

Cable Pushdown supersetted with Standing EZ Bar Curls- 15, 12, 10, 10, 8(drop)
Close Grip BP w/ Preacher EZ Bar- 12, 10, 10, 8 (double drop)
Dip Machine w/ Preacher Curl Machine- 12, 12, 10

Cardio- Elliptical 28 minutes (Intervals from 5-25). I was feeling a little off with the cardio so I added in 15 minutes in the sauna....it was insane!

Observations- This is my medium carb day (100) after back to back low carb days and I can say without a doubt that the appetite effects are more noticeable during the low carb days, I felt no urge to eat and actually underate my macros both days. I can also say that the temperature spike and sweating is MUCH more pronounced when it is taken near carbs, I noticed that from messing around with the diet.

Side Note- I picked up Olympus Labs Conq3r Demigod based on the recommendation today, it came in today so i gave it a shot (i think that may be the culprit for the decreased cardio session). This stuff tastes/mixes TERRIBLE, I may not continue it and if I do will limit it mostly to low carb days when I need an extra pick me up.

Sorry you didn't lke the flavor WeaponX... it takes some getting used to. But the formula definitely works. :)

I get a very specific craving sensation when I go low carb, it is almost as if I can taste my own breath (?) if that makes sense. I do not get that on my low carb days with epitome and I have been loving it for that.

It's not your fault I was just surprised by it, maybe more water, I ended up ordering the wicked melon flavor by mistake .... the wicked part doesn't lie haha

Yeah hopefully it will help with the edge on low carb days

Yeah its definitely a more pronounced effect on low carb days for sure

Heading out for a chest/back/cardio session here on another low carb day....i have tried low carb diets, keto diets and the like before and have never been a fan

Adding epitome in has made a world of difference. I went yesterday and ran and sat in the sauna and even with dragging some I made it through ...

Let's see what tonight brings

Last Few Days (and some observations)

Now, my last two days have been low carb days and I accomplished the following (I was also in trial most of this week, which will usually lead to craziness, did not this week)

Thursday- I was dragging but I still managed to hit the gym and run. I have been following the C25K (couch-to-5k) app for running because I havent really been able to run since high school and figured I would be an easier way to get back into it.

My ability to make it through the run cardio-wise was great, my legs (calves, ankles and feet) were a litle sore but I made it through the 30 minutes then hit the sauna for 15 minutes.. sweating profusely

Tonight (Again low carb)

Flat BB bench- 4x8-15
Bent over underhanded Rows- 4x 8-15
Incline H.S. Press- 4x 8-15
H.S. High Row- 4x 8-15
Superset of H.S. Decline Press w/ H.S. Low Row- 3x 8-15

Then hit the elliptical for 25 minutes (5 warm up, 15 minutes of 15/45 intervals, then 2 straight high level and 3 cool down)
Then added in the sauna for 15 minutes...

**I walked out, my shirt is an ENTIRELY different color and the past week or so I have had this crazy euphoric feeling, cant describe it but I can tell you I am pushing hard and forgetting to eat (damn you Epitome! Lol) but doing my best to stay on track. Without sounding too much like a dbag, I have been feeling incredible, no exaggeration.

I have been on the fence about adding some Absolutely Abliderated, I may purchase it and hold off. The way I feel with just epitome is CRAZY and I will give it a full course, I am almost done my first bottle and I still have 3 more stashed away so lets see what happens....

Again, Thank you for following along and dealing with my long rambling posts....I am trying to be as detailed/fair as possible

4/27 Weigh In

I will have pictures to come, they are on my phone just need to upload them... I did not have much of a change in circumference measurements, my biggest change was on the scale (nearly 8 lbs since the start). I have also had people that I see semi-regularly asking if I did anything different because they thought I was losing weight, which is awesome!

Weight- 226.2 (222.6)

Circumference
Rt Arm- 15 (15.25)
Left Arm- 15 (15)
Waist-42.5 (42.5)
Hips- 39.5 (39.5)
Glute- 42.5 (42.5)
Rt Calf- 16 (16)
Lt Calf- 16 (15.5)
Chest/Back (Nipple)-44 (45)
Neck-15.25 (15.75)

I took these measurements after my High carb then Medium carb days and I did not get in the gym during either because of my schedule. I can honestly say I am happy with the progress so far, nearly 8 lbs is a huge achievement for me. I cant wait to keep it going.

I will update my last weeks workouts next and the pictures a little later
