Where is Dragonfly these days? At the LA airport, a Florida hotel room, or someplace in the Ukraine? lol

Be careful with her my friend. Apparently, she is another who is not who she claims to be. I'll pray for her, but I'd think twice before you believe some hard luck story and send her any money. :no:

Some may remember that my girlfriend is going through a tough time of chemotherapy.

She is suppose to have one more set of chemo to go.

The doctor say's she is doing well with each treatment, however when she reports pain that is not associated with her disease to the doctor. And he says that it is weird, and should not happen, makes me worried.

It is good to see that she is finally able to walk about now, with each treatment it seems that she is getting better.
 
Could her pain be related to the treatment itself? Each day is a miracle in and of itself liquid, and you are the man God wants you to be man in every sense to stick by the love of your life during this time. She will go from walking to playing frisbee or throwing the football with you soon enough :)

The doctor came to the conclusion of the pain have to be from the treatment, since the pain should not be associated with her disease.

Thank you once again, I do try my best to stay by her.

I do hope that day is near when I get to have a good stroll with her in the park again.
 
Hey guys it's been a while since I've been in this thread and I'm sorry for that, reading through this page I've made a prayer for Liquids girlfriend (Liquid I hope she goes through it ok!)

First I'm going to try and be more active in this thread....But I have some prayers to ask for.....
The last time I was in here I was really depressed and was semi-alcoholic and thanks to you guys that stopped, but I ended up going through a big drug 'rampage' which lead me to rehab in November, but the reason I'm posting is that the guy who helped me finallize my decision of walking into rehab (I wasn't forced to), he is currently in the hospital and has a blood clot in his lungs....This guy means a lot to me and I owe so much to him for being a big part in me going there and getting my life back together, and before all of this he had no religous views but now my mom just informed me about all of this and asked her to pray for him which is beyond shocking, and all I want is for this guy to be ok and make it out of there safely so please pray for him....
And also my girlfriends mom has just got out of the hospital for the third time in less than two months for blood clots and I also hoped that you guys could pray for her to....

Jesus once said that whoever humbles himself as a little child would be the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. In the book of Proverbs we read that a man's pride will bring him down, but a lowly spirit will bring him honor.

"Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted."

Many things happen to us in life that bring us grief, but God will comfort us when we turn to Him. A person must also mourn, or be sad when he/she does things that make God sad because of disobedience.

"Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth."

Meekness is also about humility. Moses was described as a meek person. He knew that whatever he accomplished was not by his own power, but by the power which God gave him.

"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled."

A hungry baby will cry for milk. We also should be hungry to learn what God wants us to do. The Bible tells us of the things that please God, and that is where we get our spiritual "food".

"Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy."

The person who is merciful is kind and forgiving. This person is not hateful toward others, but looks for the good qualities in people.

"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God."

We can be pure in heart if we fill our minds with good thoughts. If we listen to the evil things of the world, our hearts and minds will become defiled and dirty. We need to be careful of the things we watch, read, and hear.

"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the sons of God."

Do you encourage people to get along and to be friends? If so, you are a peacemaker. Where peace is concerned, you can be part of the problem, or part of the solution. Be a peacemaker.

"Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."

We must stand up for what is right even if it means making someone angry or upset with us. Sometimes this is a hard thing to do, but it is pleasing to God.
 
Thank you David, those words really gave me insight to my own ailments that only our Great Physician Jesus Christ can heal.

I've always liked this definition of meekness:

Dragonfly is at her parents home in Croatia. She was trying to go back to Australia but her visa was expired.

No worries D, fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.

Wrasslin, this is clearly indicative that there is a battle for your soul. Draw close to God and He will draw close to you. The gentleman who helped you was placed in your life for a reason, and regardless of the outcome we can be sure that it is for the glory of God.
Even though everyone here is spread out globally, we can be sure in the name of Jesus that one day we will all be on the Sea of Glass.
I prayed for you both, and know that He promised to never leave us alone, we may feel lonely, but if the veil that separates our physical world with the spiritual world were to be lifted you would see that Christ Holy presence is with you, and us for that matter.
That on each side you are protected with angels that excel in strength. Never forget that. The final battle my friend is a battle for the mind, and put that mind in you that was in Christ.

Thanks to all of you....I'm not sure on his condition right now but I'm heading out to see him Friday, hopefully he's doing good it would tear me up if anything happened to him..

I had a phone interview with one of the jobs I applied for in Charlotte last week. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers still guys. I should find out soon about whether I get a face to face interview or not.

It might sound weird, but I've started praying in between sets now. :) It's a time when intensity is high (during a w/o) and prayers feel more sincere and powerful than usual.

The reason i have decided to post here is because on May 1st my beloved mother lost her battle with cancer, my mom was a Godly, prayerful woman who loved her Lord and savior Jesus Christ and I KNOW she is with him now and no longer suffering, therefore my prayer request is not for her but rather for me as I am not dealing with her death very well. I would say I am somewhat emotionally retarded I'm not comfortable with my emotions and I find myself in a position I have never been in before in my life and that is that I am a basket case. I have cried more in the past 2 weeks then the I did in the other 41 years of my life combined. I was with my mom for most of the last month of her life (thanks to the family medical leave act) and watching my mom crying out in pain and vomiting blood I feel scarred me emotionally. I cannot erase those memories and when I think of them I begin to cry again. My mom did not die well she lingered for nearly 5 days in respiratory distress with that awful congestion, the last 2 days she had agonal breathing and minute + long periods of apnea. I felt so completely helpless and the stress was so unbelievable that as a person who has faith I did what came naturally I prayed, for hours sometimes mostly that her suffering would end but also for the comfort of my family. In reading the Bible I have seen the scriptures that speak of people crying out to God and I always thought I knew what that meant now I know firsthand because that is what I did. I poured myself out to God like never before unfortunately my prayers were not answered. Sorry to go on for so long but I could never talk to people about this in person and it's easy to post about it from my computer.

Hello to everyone. It has been a while since I have been on AM and longer since I have been in this thread. Two weeks ago was the 1 year anniversary of the death of my Mother from cancer and I was thinking about how I posted the quoted post in here because I was lower than I ever have been in my life and I needed prayer. Many brothers offered prayers and it definitely helped and I am still grateful to all, especially my man DR.D who offered prayer, advice, kind words and was generous with his time. D you're a friend and a brother.
My life has been hectic with career and family but I feel guilty that I have neglected this thread especially when it was a source of comfort for me in my time of need. I have been reading through the tread and am praying for you all. May God bless you all in your time of need as HE did me.

God has it all covered. I don't know how, I just know He does (because I can literally feel the affirmation through His Holy Spirit sometimes.) We are all connected here in this thread, and God listens to brothers united in His name! We are strong in His Spirit.
 
Amen Dr.D, Jesus said where 2 or 3 are gathered together in His Name, He is there with them.
That to me is comfort knowing by Faith that Christ will navigate us through the turbulent waters of life.

I've never though of doing that but it's a great idea. The Bible tells to pray without ceasing. God loves hearing from us whatever the cause. Don't forget to offer praise, not to covet favor but because He deserves all praise and glory.

I pray with my training partner before each lift. I pray mostly that I'm not injured, I am getting old after all.

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference, just for today. One day at a time. Fellas, I have a request, actually two..I don't think I have ever asked for prayer but I would like to ask you all now. I have a PT test coming up on Wednesday the 26th and I could use yall's power of Prayer...to give me the strength and drive to get through it..I am not worried about it but would really like yall's input for me to the LORD...

Second, my wife is fixing to come over here next Wednesday and I would like for yall to pray for her to have a safe trip on her way to see me at my remote...It is half way around the World..gotta love the places the military sends ya...

As I prayed for you today
To guide you and protect you
As you go along your way

His love is always with you
His promises are true
And when we give Him all our cares

You know He will see us through

So when the road you're traveling on
Seems difficult at best
Just remember I'm here praying
And God will do the rest.

Second, my wife is fixing to come over here next Wednesday and I would like for yall to pray for her to have a safe trip on her way to see me at my remote...It is half way around the World..gotta love the places the military sends ya...
