Post Your Best Proats Recipes And Win Select

Apologies for the delay in shipping.

Originally the plan was to send a sample packet of each flavour however with hurricane Irma there were delays in getting these in and we don't have an ETA yet.

I didn't want to risk sending a flavour people didn't like (if you have a nut allergy you obviously don't want peanut butter honey lol) hence the request for your preferred flavour.

Everyone is getting a full sized pouch of their choice. :)
I would have preferred the sample pack, personally; however, I understand why you guys had to change it though. I just don't like having to pick because they all sound good.
Glad this is sorted and gains are on route!

Hey who is testing out in cream of rice? I think Rhadam is one and kbayne and myself

I imagine it will shine there too
I will probably try it in cream of wheat, but I have never had cream of rice.

I use both, the COR seems even finer/smoother if you can believe that.

I'm sure you won't be too disappointed about it not being just a sample! ?

About to come home and smash some PB proats right now! :)

Disclaimer; PEScience does not recommend nor take responsibility for someone fornicating with their Protein 4 Oats.
Lukey is constantly getting me in to tight situations around here. I will be blocking him soon! ;)

Oh stop. You know you like it! Not even going to comment on the "tight" aspect of oats......
I completely set you up for the kill shot there and you aren't even going to bite? :D

All ready to go :D

I did some reading before online about the flavors and it seems people like the other two more than the PB & Honey. PB & Honey is what interested me the most, so it's what I wanted to try. Honestly, if people like the others better, then they must be incredible because I thought PB & Honey was awesome. I very often add PB into my oats (which I'm sure a lot of others do) and the flavor was spot on. It wasn't blind taste test, 'no way there isn't PB in here!', but for a protein powder I'd say it's one of the better ones for oats I've tried. For reference, I think one of the best is PES Snickerdoodle. The honey flavor comes through, but it's not overpowering at all. PB is definitely the driving flavor and the honey is a really nice compliment. Maybe 70/30 PB to Honey from my experience. By the time I added the protein (I was cooking dinner, making today's lunch and making a shake at the same time), the water was a little cooler and the protein still mixed perfectly fine. No clumps or anything.

I'm going to try doing this in overnight oats for tomorrow's breakfast.

So I made some overnight oats last night, and goodness they were really really tasty. I spilled a little bit of the powder last night and just licked dry powder as an initial taste test. Sweet, but not too sweet with a strong peanut butter flavor.

This morning the peanut butter flavor was definitely the most prominent part of the Oats, but there was also a subtle honey sweetness that I enjoyed.

I will try it in regular cooked oats tomorrow, and a shake tonight post workout, but other than that I'll be saving it after I am done with this 4 week diet stint as I want to keep carbs low especially testing keto burn.

Overall though, initial impression was really good. No clump or anything texture weirdness in my overnight proats. I think cooked oats and then a scoop added will be the real test though.

I'll be sure to report back, but initial impressions was that the flavor was indeed good. I don't have anything select to compare it to other than snickerdoodle, but I definitely liked the flavor more..

Thank you for your thoughts gentlemen! PB & Honey is looking like a strong contender!

I don't know where you've been reading but PB and honey is probably my top flavor. :)

The others are amazing as well but it edges up over maple and brown sugar for me just a bit with apple cinnamon at a very close 3rd.

Great review and thanks for sharing. :)

I agree and like the above user posted I think the 70/30 taste ration of pb/honey is pretty spot on. Oh boy is it good with cooked oats you need to test it right now! Lol

I actually just got home from the store with some oats as I've been out since yesterday morning and after checking in here will surely make some up! ?

All around the world wide internets.

More to come. I want to try a couple more applications with it. Overnight oats with milk is certainly the next one.

Tried in cooked oats today. More honey flavor comes through for me, almost a 50/50 ratio that time. I really did like it, but overnight oats were delicious too lol

You cook with the powder mixed in or add it after?

Due to hurricane Irma my shipment with the final production products has been delayed and still isn't here.

I am looking forward at getting creative and trying some new things. During the testing phases we kept to a protocol when making it to minimise variables.

Overnight oats will be my first go I think. :)

So I ordered all 3 flavors before I knew that I was in for the test run, I picked apple cinnamon for that but have tried all 3 so far.

Initial thoughts on the maple and brown sugar, very underwhelming when mixed with hot oats, really freaking good when mixed with overnight oats and allowed to really settle.

I’ll be quite honest, all three flavors are pretty awesome with my overnight oat mixes. The apple cinnamon has a really distinct flavor and I love it. Personal fav has to be the pb and honey simply because I use those exact ingredients in a lot of my Overnight Oats so it really pairs well and brings out the flavors even more.

Lastly this stuff mixes EXTREMELY well, Zero clumping at all even with cold liquids.

Really loving it all, and definitely can see it becoming a staple in my household (my girlfriend LOVES it as well!)

So then who has the best overnight oats recipe for us all to try?

The PB & Honey one you just mentioned sounds bomb! If I can spare the macros lol

When I'm not dieting hard (tracking religiously), it's old fashioned oats, unsweetened almond milk, protein 4 oats (protein Powder lol), half banana, 1 tbls peanut butter, blueberries, chia seeds. Mix up and let it rest overnight lol. (that is also what I did for my first overnight oats action)

2nd time I did the same minus seeds and fruits.

Yes that will be tried, I will even copy the BB and chia to get the full Wimsicle experience haha

Lol same way i prep my oats when not tracking or when i hit legs!

I did chia seeds, oats, and vegan wild berry and that took the wild berry to another level.

Well I don't get around too much so must have missed those reviews! Good deal.

I'm not huge on honey but I do like it with certain combos. This honey hint in the product is just right for my taste buds.

Mine showed up yesterday. Have used in oats twice so far. Will likely try in cream of wheat and possibly a shake before weighing in on it.

Any particular reason to not mix it before cooking?

Standalone Shake Review
4oz water and 4 oz almond milk

Taste: 9/10
Very very tasty! I only tasted peanut butter and the after taste was sweet and a bit of honey. I absolutely love peanut butter, so for me this is a win! This is very thin mix so it taste like flavoured milk!

Mix: 10/10
No issues again. The product mixes great. 3 shakes and it was good to go.

Effectiveness: n/a
This is protein and i can not measure this after one try. Satisfied my belly so i give it that.

Conclusion:9.5/10
This is not meant for a stand alone shake, but it mixes great and it is just a thin flavoured milk result... but way delicious!! Can't wait to try other methods

Oh my gerr. Let's do this!

How do you make your oats? Not sure why you would want to mix it prior. I believe it would make the texture a lot more dense you could say maybe that's the reason.

Great feedback brother. Not quite sure if the review tab is up yet for the product but if it is that would be cool to have thrown up in there. :)

I am an instant oats guy. I am considering mixing it with the milk that I use to cook the oats to see how it turns out when prepared that way.

I'll give a final review once i try with oats how it is meant, but so far so GOOD!

Ah ok that would be interesting. Would seem like it could thicken it up too much to stir into the oats but I'm not sure. Guess the worst that happens is you lose a scoop or 2.

Overnight cold oats. Pardon the Mexican in me of putting it in a salsa container :)
Wow very delicious! Also tried with packet instructions. mixing into cooked oatmeal, but the peanut butter flavor gets taken away that way. My cold oats taste more like peanut butter .

Flavor is just much better in overnight compared to hot cooked oats.

Never really tried the overnight cold oats method. Already love the pb flavoring so may have to give that a shot soon!

Going to be trying it in overnight oats tomorrow morning.
1/2 c oats
1/2 c milk
1/4 c P4O
2 slices of green apple diced
Sprinkle of cinnamon
2 tsp sugar

Have tried 3 times the regular way but towards the end each time, it kept getting a funky aftertaste with each bite. Wondering if the heat of the oats didn't go well with some of the flavoring so that's why I'm trying the overnight method. I can't quite put my finger on what the off taste is. Will expand more in my actual review if I can. Lol!

Flavouring wise it seemed to work better adding in the Protein 4 Oats after the oats were cooked rather than prior. We tried various methods when developing the flavouring and that seemed to have a unanimous vote. :)
