The encryption on most databases is pretty tough to crack ;)

Not to mention YOU literally are the only one with your password. No even Bobo knows it or could even find out what it is. It's encrypted and secret.
Like Crowler said, the admin of the site can access everything.

on the topic of safety, I dont think there is a judge in the world that would give a search warrant based on something they read on a forum

Where do you get this idea? The database here may be encrypted, but it's relatively easy to hack into and access and most certainly the DBA of this domain has complete access to everything posted here with passwords and IPAs and would give up eveything if a judicial order was received.

Again, assume everything here is avaliable, it is, take my word for it, this is the field I work in.

speaking of searching the web for your username, anyone know anything about this site Invalid Link Removed

i have never reviewed anything there, i reviewed that product at bulknutrition and somehow it was copied to there....

I think that is just a branch of bulknutrition that mike made to target more of the endurance audience. log into your account there and the url has 1fast400 in it

Several members including myself discussed concern and surprise about the PM thing, but now it's clear that the problem has to be adressed pretty drastically. I support banning anyone who uses the forum for fraudulent purposes. Most of us enjoy the hell out of this place for insight, discussion, and info exchange. Everyone who encounters anything that's not legit and above board should report it and action taken to keep this place safe.
I was a little bummed when I asked Bobo a couple weeks back if I could sell some goods (for considerably less than what I paid) because I wanted to offer the deals up to AM members first) and he said no. Now I understand that with such problems persisting, there was no way. I hope everyone who values the quality of ths forum is willing to pitch in and keep it strong and legit!

Well, maybe I'm wrong, but I sure as hell don't know how to recover encrypted passwords.

I mean, when you've got something that looks like this:

8dfb9e7410f7cfb23238e0b65d8a6413 (no, it's not real, but an example, and yes that's most likely what bobo would see if he wanted to take a look at your password)

for a password, it's not just stuff everyone can access and crack.

If the passwords are not encrypted, then yeah, it could be relatively easy to get ahold of, I'd assume. A relatively weak server could undergoe a brute force attack and give up admin rights.

I'm sure it's possible, given judicial order.

However, the guy was worried about the "privacy" of his PM's. They're not just going to have e-nerd cops randomly hack peoples usernames to check their PM's, etc. His PM's are pretty damn private.

Plus, I operate a phpBB forum and I don't have access (as admin) to everyone's PM's and passwords. So, although you may be able to prove me wrong--being that it's your line of work and all--that's where I'm coming from.

I'd be curious to know why you say Bobo has access to our passwords and PM's other than the fact that he's an admin.

edit: Oh, and yes, I know you can set up your forum, etc, to do whatever you want...

Well, I'm not finding the option on my board  If you know how, let me know....

edit: oh, and without having to change their password for them. You CAN do that easily, BUT you can't just jack the password and check PM's through a admin function.

Then the board is not very secure and full of holes. VBulletins's database is horrible (securtiy and efficiency) and its actually the best out there.

There are certain things that should be hardcoded and not available thorugh the Admin Control Panel unless you want it hacked.

Bobo please don't erase my post for brodus. I just want to be able to contact him thats all. I will keep it off this board, I just want him to have my email. Nothing wrong with that is there?

exactly.

I guess that's probably the difference, eh? I'm using phpMyBB...I'm not sure VBulletin is better....

Yeah, my admin just controls whose a mod, who's banned, etc, etc.

Everything else is encoded in phpMyAdmin (a database) and i don't have access to it.

However, IF I do want to check soemones stuff, etc, I can change their password and login. I CANNOT, however, login using their password. That is all secure info, along with PRIVATE messages.

Bro, its not you. I have already erased about 20 today and I'm sure it will continue. NEVER post your email on an open forum such as this unless you want to be absolutly HAMMERED by spam.

You could always let everyone learn the hard way :D But, you're too nice a guy, right ;)

I do have access but its a pain in the ass because the database is a piece of **** and I only have access from certain areas (server based security)

I got back from the holidays with over 1500 dbase errors emailed to my account.

Its securtiy sucks and if you don't hardcode things you are asking ro trouble. Its too easy.

I have access to my database, but I mean, everything is encrypted so I dont' have access to the info through the database.

I never get any errors, luckily, but I have almost zero traffic :D

I dunno....when my nocturnal ass is up at night, sifting through 5 forums at once, it sure doesn't seem like am.com has quite enough :D

That is because you don't see everyone.

Half my clients aren't even members here and just like to read and for some reaosn half the member base like to surf in "invis" mode.

Ahh...i see. But damnit, I cant respond to my own posts all night! :D

(Plus, the previous post was meant as a crack at me having nothing better to do with my time than surf forums all night :D)

There was more traffic at 4am this morning than 8am EST. Go figure.

Really, that's odd? But, I'd never know anyway. I don't think I've ever been on my computer at 8AM.... Maybe it does make sense. We live in a world of procrastinators, so I can see everyone sleeping in late, rushing to get to work by 9:00AM and then staying up late the next night...that's what I do anyway.

If you remember the names just say so and I will contact you so I can take care of it.

Also take into consideration a number of people are not located in North America so time/users figures don't necessarily indicate a certain type of lifestyle.

As for the db passwords most are just hashes so there's no way to reverse engineer them providing adequate security although many like SHA have been proven to be insecure.

Back to the topic at hand, I don't think there will be a reduction in people try to sell stuff after the ban at least for the first 6 months. It doesn't seem to make sense that people would be getting rid of their stashes at this point trying to make a profit. Greater profit would be seen after the ban has been in place but what do I know.

There have also been a lot of newbs here asking what do you think of so and so product lately as they rush to stock up on things. I've also noticed a few pms asking if I had this or that and how much for them. They also always state they were in Europe where these compounds aren't banned so there's no legality issues. And then there's the pm of steroid/prosteroid pricelists like the one on avant a few weeks ago. With all of this activity taking place via pm it's no wonder the feature has been disabled. As I stated earlier I think it's going to continue post ban which is a shame. Hopefully it will return as there was some info I wanted to access but oh well.

Hey Pete...I'm gonna be trying out one of Iron Addicts sample routines. It is a big change from "the norm"...but, have you tried out those programs like that? It's such low volume!

It's so odd. I hear people over here at am.com talking about Bobo's success with such high volume training (or saying, it was a lot of volume for THEM) and I hear people over there talking about sucess with such low volume training...WTF???

maybe when i get some money in the future I'll have to pay for both of their services and see how things work out.

Assholes. And they wonder why we don't have more then a few girls here?

And I did a search of my user name on Yahoo and there are other people using it! I mean the name is not well know if at all (what it means) and I have been using it for 6 years in various capcities. So for people to use it is strange...

I might be the wrong person to ask.. I tend to stay away from "routines and philosophies" and do what works for me.. ;)

The volume I include in my programs is really not high at all.

Yeah, me either. I get some funny looks sometimes when I crank out 3 sets of something them move on to something else. One day I did my entire shoulder workout (3 exercises 12 sets total) while these two lunkheads were still on the same smith machine doing the same exercise where I started.

LOL. Mr. Laid Back himself has spoken :D It's cool man, thx for the response. I'm done thinking about it and I'm just going to DO IT and let the results dictate my future decisions. It's all about results, right? ;)

High volume to me is 16-20 sets and I don't go that high (although one muscle group might hit 16). The majority of the major muscle groups gets 9-12 per week.

9-12 of the MAJOR groups and then the rest don't really have their own days, right?

I was doing 9-12 per week 5x a week: chest, legs, back, shoulders, arms/abs

what I'll be trying now is way less and only 3x a week. Oh well, I'm just going to do it and see where things go from them. If I get weaker, I know to stop, right ;)

 It really is amazing isn't it Wonder what they would think of my workouts. I don't do 12 work sets TOTAL in an entire week.

Speaking of doing a search on ones screen name. I did and this site came up Invalid Link Removed
I cant read it but it links to this board.

Bobo's workouts are not high in volume. They just incorporate more mind muscle connection in reference to tempo. Most ppl do not train the way he has his system setup so it's a shock at first. I will tell you though from experience that it works.

Some of my best gains came last summer when I doing 20-25 sets per muscle group,, somtimes training twice a day.. no androgens/PH's..Diet was good and I was sleeping a lot (at least 12 hrs every night)
My gym owner said that "More bodies have been build up in history (old school BB'ers) with HIGH volume training than with any other method"

Comments??

Thats you, some can take it, some can't. THere is no "one" way at all and for most, especially when you get up in age, can't come nowhere to using that much volume.

Plus I find more gains are earned more with intensity rather than volume and my program dictates intensity by the way the exercise is performed.

So you were training anywhere from 40-50 sets a day for a single BP and gaining?

well funny thing , there is a guy who posted here on this thread who tried to sell me some AAS. And now he is pretending that he is with PM disabling thing, and many people consider him as a good bro. all i can say " Hypocrisy is the homage which vice pays to virtue"

If two wrongs don't make a right, try three!!!! i dont think so.
i think the PM function should be abled again, and people who abuse the board should be banned.

Well, crap. I go away for a few days and find this. And, I really needed to get something out of my PM account. Sorry Scorpio! Oh well, I know it's for the best. I guess people can contact through cyber accounts and such if it's that important.
