I am almost done with my second bottle of Norcodrene and it has been a decent run. I haven't been too strict on my diet, and lost 4-5 pounds in the first 2 weeks or so. Then I just plateau'd and stayed at around 242-243 for 4 weeks. Again, my diet has just been a typical working American diet, nothing to strict and I could have done much better. I've had a lot of things come up over the last 6 weeks, so I've barely had time to even workout - but I've kept my weight training going for the most part.
I've played with the dosing. In the beginning 2 caps in the morning and 1 cap in the afternoon was rough. It definitely was a mild stimulant, but kept me awake at night and I had some minor yohimbine sides. After about week 4 the sides were almost all gone.
I worked up to 2 caps 2X per day but I was also taking this with Diablo so I backed off and went back to 2 caps in the morning and 1 cap in the afternoon again - I didn't see a big increase in effectiveness at 4 caps.
About 3 days ago, however, I decided to take all 3 caps in the morning. This would have killed me in the beginning but almost no negative sides at all now. I've been taking 3 caps in the morning for the past 3-4 days and some days I take 1-2 caps in the afternoon and some days I am fine with just 3 in the morning. This product lasts so long I feel it is still working around 4-6 PM even when I dose 3 caps around 8 AM and don't take any in the afternoon. Appetite suppression is good, but not as strong as when I first started.
3 caps all at once, however, has had an interesting effect - regardless of whether I take a noon dose or not. In the past 3-4 days I've lost another 2 pounds and my waist dropped about 1/2". This is relatively sudden to be honest.
I think the dosing that is given on the bottle is pretty effective and you get some diminishing returns by simply increasing the dose. Even at 5 caps/day I'm not sure if it is that much more effective. Taking the full dose all at once however, seems to have improved the results somewhat.
Also, I have a very strange "side" effect with Norco - I take it in the morning and I am fine. Then about 6-8 hours after I take it, when I expect it is starting to leave my system, I start getting HOT. My GF tells me I'm a furnace at night. I know my body temp is up almost 2 degrees while I'm on this stuff. I was in a friend's car the other day and she told me she could feel the heat coming off me just sitting about a foot away from her. 2-3 hours after I take it, the heat is OK. When the stimulant effects start wearing off, however, it seems the thermo effects really kick up. It is strange.
