This might be a stupid question, but I'll ask anyway.
Being that Amino IV has a high content of leucine (and knowing that leucine is the primary trigger for mps), is it redundant at all to have a protein shake immediately post-wo?
If you're consuming 2 full scoops of Amino IV during your workout, is that enough to initiate protein synthesis?
I'm obviously no expert on the mps process, I'm just curious and trying to figure out optimal dose timing, etc.
It's enough to initiate things, but not redundant. I always look at my intra-workout as a means to push further and harder while training, but it also needs to support me from going catabolic. It also gets the process ramped up, so that afterwards I can drink my post-workout shake and continue what the intra started, while beginning to effectively recover as well. Either one helps, but together they are greater than the sum.
