Not to rain on anyone's parade, but I would be careful throwing all this "unnatural" weight around in the gym. This is probably going to sound like 3rd grade health class, but muscle tissue grows a LOT faster than connective tissue. If you start lifting weight that you've not accustomed to naturally, you're cruisin' for a tear/injury. Just want to say to listen to your body bros......would be awful if anyone got an injury! I did Superdrol and my bench went way up, but I didn't increase the weight, just number of reps. Throwing 315 around, but I did not go past the weight I typically used. I did not get an injury :D

This is the fundamental reason why ligament (ie, ACL) injuries take FOREVER to heal. Their blood supply is vastly limited compared to muscle's.

Good luck on the rest of this. I'm starting EPI soon :)

I may have been able to hit 9,but I didn't feel safe so I listened to that little voice.I mean the eigth one was hard as hell! Then when I quit I had a little pain in the side of my right knee......You ever see a guy snap his leg on deads?I have,on TV ofcourse.

I'm not going to get my reps up to 50 on this cycle!I'm repping low cause I'm shooting for size through strength!

Yeah I picked one 90lber up off the floor to put it on the rack beside the other, and I though this feels kinda light? Then as I got 'em into position the first time,it was way easier then I had thought it would be.I forgot to say this but I had a feeling it was kicking in cause last Sat I had to pick these augers up and put 'em into the bed of my truck by myself. It's those things you may have seen people digging holes with and they drag 'em.Well ours is an 8 horsepower engine with a roll cage which really came in handy when I forgot to tie it down one day and that b!tch went off the back of the trailer bouncing and rolling all over the road!Well it's heavy and awkward,2 people always load it and unload it.I have put it on the trailer beofore and it was easier putting it in my truck last time which is twice as high as the trailer. That was my first clue I forgot to mention...I mean I was getting myself phsyched up and everything for it,did it and though wow! That was pretty easy!As long as things keep going well I want to gradually increase to 60,and run it for 6 weeks.I'm loving it so far!
Nice! Keep saying things like that! Im drooling on my bottle of Havoc as we speak.:run:

Way to go Pantera!! Great gains already happenin'!! I'm extremely proud of you bro!! You have the heart of a Beserker of Odin!! Your strength is going to shoot up fast now over the next few weeks for 2 reasons. #1: Havoc of course!! #2: You'll be getting accustomed to the DC style of training. You shouldn't plateau for a while. So you're gonna be recording some even bigger numbers as you go along. Great for motivation man. Yours and ours!! I'm getting all stoked up for my next attack just from reading your workout report here!! :aargh: Let's keep rockin' til Ragnarok!! :head: THE THUNDERGOD:hammer:

Thanks TG!It felt great man and I didn't want to leave the gym. When I realised rack deads were it for the day,I was kinda disapointed. But man I have been wore out since!I have also been laying around the house all day,but I now realise how much I truly gave it today.I will hit 495 on rack deads next!I just realised you're supposd to do your heavy set first.....IDK what I was thinking!

Good advice here, been there done that!
I don't know how high in reps you're talking but I sure as fvck would be going to 30 or something like that. He got 9 with 90's so I don't think that is too retarded. He also says he is strict on form so he should be safe. Papapumpsd, how many reps did you start out with @ 315 and what were the rep increases from session to session. I'm curious because I often do rep increases before weight increases but I figured on cycle the jumps in reps would be retarded so I just kept adding weight. I'll normally employ rep ranges like 3-6, 6-10 & 8-12 and when I can hit the top number I increase the weight to bring me back down to the bottom number and work back up.

Thats the shitty part about not having a spotter. I'm thinking bout hang cleanin the *****es up then sittin down.

I do throw them up,but I do it when sitting.Being that I hit 7 on the first part of the rp set,I should of hit atleast 3 the second time.I just wore myself out trying to get them into position the second time, and I had that old man come right in front of me doing db rows and his huffing and puffing.I mean right in front of me.Thats what I hate about noisy lifters in the gym,it's just distracting to others!Especially when they bend over right in front of you when you're sitting on a bench. Then he takes my 70's in the middle of a set.I was done with them, but you don't do that without asking and get right beside someone all up in their personal space in the middle of a set!I have seemed to get frustarted from time to time,I'm pi$$ed right now!!!!Seriously:aargh:

Yeah I understand all that he said and have heard it before. But at the same time I'm not letting fear hold me back in the gym.I'm usually shooting for atleast 7 reps on my first set.I don't realy see the potential for danger there. If I were performing singles it would be a completely different story!I can see how a jump in strength could hurt something their!

Lol, your definitely more patient then I. I would have pushed his face into the nearest mirror if he grabbed db's I was clearly using. The fuse is cut in half when in the gym, meaning its extremely short. lol

I was done with them but I wasn't going to put them back and then grab the others and then go at it with the 65's you know?I was going to put them back when the rp set was done.I should of been done with my set before I grabbed the 65's so I was just rushing it.But I mean they were beside me on both ends of my bench.I swear he just wanted them cause they were by me and I didn't re rack them. He's a fvcking d!ck man!He got ona machine a pt'r was using for his client so he told him he was using it and the old man starts grunting well I have to cool down or once I get going I keep going or something like that. Then he complains to the manager that the trainers hogging the machines.....I fvcking hate him and hope his form gets to his old @$$ so he can't train anymore.......I have never seen someone throw and drop weights as he does. And he's old!!!!

The first time I ever seen this man I was doing pull ups and he comes from the other side of the gym so he can do the whole stack on........I guess stiff arm push downs? All up in my way and he came from the other side of the gym and then went back.:frustrate:He's just pi$$ed cause he looks like sh!t and he's old.Probabaly doing the whole I'm stronger but they're bigger cause of roids. When he doesn't realise the diet guys like us follow or the impotance of proper form.

All right, enough of him!Heres a quote I found quite inspiring. It didn't say who said it....

"Wrap up or strap up,and get in position. Then look down at the ground and whisper/mutter this to yourself, and believe it-I'm the baddest mother fvcker in this gym.I'm a goddamn human forklift and I own this sh!t!"

Nice quote brotha!! I'd rep you but 1. I can't and 2. you NEVER repp me back:sad:

I'm interested in how he progressed in his lifts while on cycle. I think with your rep range and form if you can keep adding weight to the bar go for it! If you have to sacrifice either be careful which I'm sure you know. A lot of my injuries have come when I was fixated on a goal which I think is common. Some people have a tendency to become so driven that they ignore plateaus & over training symptoms and push on anyway. I have done this on many occasions and it often resulted in injury which means time away from training. Fvck that! His way would be one of the safest but I question if it is the most productive especially for short cycles. IDK so I'd like to see how he progressed with his reps.

:goodpost: Amen brother FOOFAC!! I heard Dorian Yates say one time that he didn't need training partners to push him harder, but rather to hold him back somewhat so that he wouldn't hurt himself. He had no problem being intense enough, but rather had to be wary of being TOO intense!! I also have incurred my injuries from being overzealous. I love training intensely as I can. It's a natural high for me. And I'm addicted!! When I grab the weights, a rage builds up inside me, and I can't wait to release it!! :aargh: THE THUNDERGOD:hammer:

I know some don't understand DC,so I figure I'll explain it right quick to maybe help see what I'm doing a little better.Just quick, plain and simple. It has you divide your body in two,and these are what you work in each wo.So we'll call it woA and woB.Now you choose 3 exercises for each muscle. You train M,W,F and only do one exercise per body part, per workout, switching back and forth. So you would do A1,B1,A2,B2,A3,b3,a different exercise each time, for the same muscle. Then repeat. This is why it takes two weeks to repeat the same exercises for the same muscles.I also wanted to make it clear that even though the increases you see are from the first wo to the second, they are also two weeks away from eachother, and I have trained those same muscles twice since then with different exercises. On average you get a weight you can get about 7 reps or so untill absolute failure, set the weight down, take 12-15 deep breaths, and do that again twice.Thats why my reps look like 7,4,2.Then you can do static holds or partial reps to finish that muscle off,and then extreme stretching.I wouldn't set up your routine off this,I'm just trying to make some understand.Go to intensemuscle.com to learn DC,and/or buy the DC dvd.

That is the paramount. If you listen to your body all is good.

there's a time to be fearful and there is a time to say fvck it LETS DO DIS!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hate my BP!Today at work I'm going to hurt my Dad on "acident" for giving it to me!!!It's 147/73.I have heard the second is more important, and less than 80 is good,so thats good. But the 147 is well over the normal high of 120!What this means is no more pre wo ECA unless needed on an early @$$ morning with little lesss sleep than usual......and dammit!More cardio...:sad:Off to run now cause my Dads way late to work today. My little puppy dog is in for a treat! He loves to run and go pi$$ on things he hasn't yet!

Sucks on the BP, but yay for the pup!

Yeah he loved it!Now he's drooling all over my floor. So it starts out like this.I haven't walked him for like 3 weeks I guess cause I have a house with a yard now.I get him on his leash open up my first door and he's just ready to go!Open my second and he steps out, stops and looks around,I turn around to close the first door and he takes off running and pulls me to where my head smacks the door!Gotta love pits man!It hurt, but I was laughing.

I gota say I hate cardio so much! But once you start and /or finish,it feels so good!I'm going to continue a little bit of cardio after weights, and then do a little more on tues and thurs in the mornings with only xtend in my belly. This should realy help keep the fat levels low and my BP lower.I may do some on Sat or Sun.Depends on work.

DOMS is down considerably!Lats and traps are sore just a little, but nowhere near what I feel they should be after yesterdays wo.I'm getting some new veins on the top of my bi's(well the right one)I have never seen before!VERY NICE!!!!

I'm just going to start using synthol so I don't have to workout anymore.

LMAO. You could join the carrot-top club. Just don't inject in just your delts. That guy looks creepy as fvck.

Bertil Fox.Known for having horrible form and using "too heavy" of weights. Also known for being huge!Even by todays standards.Just incase one doesn't know.He had his sentence to death reduced to life in prison after murdering his fiance and her Mom.

legs are part of tomorrows wo,and I'm getting ready.I fell way short of the norm last wo due to cutting.Same happened with my rackdeads though, and then I beat my PR.So hopefully the same happens with sq's.DC has you do your hams first too,so that def plays it part.I have got 255 for 4 deep @$$ sq's.I got 225 for 6 last time...:sad:255 for 6 would be great.I'm preparing now,but trying not to get amped so I can sleep tonight.

You know I was thinking, they say your body has to work harder to pump blood to bigger muscles and all.......So could growing muscle raise your BP?IDK,but I've always heard growing muscle causes stress to the body which is part of the reason it's so damn hard to grow.

I have seen 144/73 three times in a row now.Checked my BP this morning at 133/68.
133/68 isn't bad to be on-cycle IMO Pantera. If you feel like you want to lower it some more, you could add Celery Seed Extract to the Hawthorn Berries you're already taking and it should come down even more. I'm glad you're liking the DC training. You'll probably never go back to high-volume/low-intensity again. That's such a waste of one's time and energy! I'm going to give DC training a spin on my next cycle, with some slight modifications. ;) THE THUNDERGOD:hammer:

No it's not bad,I just hope it stays there.I will never do the whole multiple work sets of multiple exercises ever again.I'm of to the gym and then a day of work.Hopefully it starts raining later in the day so I still get in some good hours, but get done early too.

Honored for the stint in your sig Pantera.

It was genius man!I couldn't resist.

I'm home right now cause I go to get a shake out of my cooler, and as I'm putting it in my lap,the lid pops off.Man that sh!t went everywhere! All over my lap,in my door panel, seat belt, steering wheel, arm rest, floor board, just everywhere!I'll update this mornings wo right quick than get to cleanig that sh!t up!

chins-45lbs-7,4,3----->55-6,2,1
reverse curls-85-4,3,4(form got sloppy cause I aimed too high with the weight)----->85-5,2,2-much better form, esp on the first set
smith calf raises-225,12,12,12---->245-12,9,8(ouch!)
SLDeads-215-10,8---->245-4,225-6
back sq-225-6,135-20---->255-5,155-20(I said earlier I hit 275 for 4,well I lied(I edited it),it was 255.I know it was a 45,35,25.When I figured it in my head yesterday I figured it wrong.Plus I have actually hit 255 for 5 before, but it took some time due to breaks in between reps, and I didn't maintain it.I have hit 255 for 4 several times though. So I'm moving on up!)

Way to go Pantera!! Increases are lookin' good bro! The Havoc+DC training will treat you good this cycle!! Never surrender!! :head: THE THUNDERGOD:hammer:

I'm not sure what would look worse on your car seats... vanilla or chocolate..

One is going to look like you blew a massive cheeseburger load... the other one will look like you had explosive diah...

Dude my bp was straight jacked the fcuk up on Epi bro! Norm for the whole time was 147/78!! Went back down after PCT though so just keep an eye on it. Hey has your heart rate gone up? Have you checked it cause mine has gone up both times I've fcuked with PH's substancialy..

Do you stand on a board when you do the smith calf raises? Or how exactly do you hold the 10-15sec stretch? Or do you not do it that way?

DB Ham Curls btw are a fuggin pain. The DB's at my gym have the rubber stuff on them...cant hold on to them worth a **** with me feet. Gonna replace that lift with SLDL's probably....

Do you RP your SLDL's?

Looks like you had a good workout!

You Rp'ng calves?

Yes.I'm almost positive you aren't supposed to,but I don't see why not.I understand some things are for safety purposes only with DC,and I feel completely safe rp'ing calves.I think it provides more of a shock than two straight sets would. It hurts like hell, that may be why he says not to rp them.I used get a weight for calves and go untill I couldn't,wait 10-15 seconds and do it again. Many times on a good day.Their were times I used to work my claves 5 x's a week too.So I feel they can handle a rp set every 4-5 days.

Yeah they can. the calves are mainly comprised of slow twitch fibers, and unless you are genetically predisposed to large calves the only way they grow is by deep stimulation of the fibers, it takes a lot of reps a lot of different ways. Them SOB's can handle it......

Do you RP your SLDL's?

Yeah I use one of those board things.I don't hold the negative for 15 seconds.I lower the weight slowly and pause, then go up untill I can't go up no more, and try and stand on my toes so to speak. That makes a kller contraction.I may make a concious effort to hold the stretch longer now,but it's a pain to do.Especially when you got the bar on your kneck and your hands all behind you.I swear looking back,it's gotten harder doing that.I actually stretch my shoulders before getting under a bar.Thats good though!Plus, have you tried keeping track of your reps when it's 1-1-15,2,1-15all while your calves are burning like hell!?

DB ham curls are a pain to do.Thats why I got away from them for a while. My db's are rubber coated too.You have to squueze your feet together like crazy!Thats what gives it such good contractions cause you are squuezing the sh!t out of the db while fighting the weight at the same time.
