I really like training while stoned, great way to spend a Thursday afternoon. The cannabis also helps a lot with appetite for me, even more so than Mk-677. I am going to the Olympia in 2018 and thought it'd be fun to take shrooms to watch the posing, would probably make it one hell of a fun day! Anyone else combine non-PED drugs with their bodybuilding pursuits? And if so, tell me about how it went!

I haven't done it myself, but I have heard and read that pot can cause more aromatization of testosterone into estrogen. I don't really know the science behind it, and whether or not it's even true. But anecdotally I've seen some potheads with really bad gyno. I personally wouldn't want to use pot while on gear if it had the ability to definitely cause it to aromatize more. But I'm also training for my first physique show next year too so that's why I won't do it haha. To each their own though.

In your case, definitely better safe than sorry. I haven't had any issues with Gyno on it, but than again I smoked weed before I started shooting test so the AI could have been masking that side effect from day one. Who knows might have otherwise had a lower AI dose if I wasn't a stoner lol.

Weed should not be a problem and I doubt shrooms. Alcohol yes that can be a problem in many ways Al though it doesn't happen over night

Lmao, yes it would be! I would love to try a posing routine at a show on molly. Although I'm sure someone who actually went through the hell of prep would change their minds real quick about doing that. It's like you get up on the stage and start hugging your competitors and feeling their muscles instead of posing lol.

I always train very close to my threshold for recovery and a night of drinking and poor sleep quality absolutely ****s recovery bad even while running Test and MK. Even if diet is otherwise perfect on that day.

I know tons of ppl that smoke before they train. The whole estrogen thing don't seem to hold true in real life. Any other drug id say is a bad idea. I do like me some mushrooms once or twice a year but when I trip I go all out so being in public is a big no no

I’d kicked everything before I started training but can’t imagine getting aggressive in a training session stoned.....

I’d be too paranoid to even go in a gym I reckon. That and I’d move so slowly that 3 sets would probably take an hour, god I was slow at everything on weed, driving was the worst, only realising when lorries are steaming past you.

I smoke weed before every gym sesh. I didn’t in the past, but now that I’ve been doing it that way for about a year, I can’t imagine going without. The way you feel by the time your workout is done... it’s a great feeling.

But I just lift for hobby, no contests or shows for me.

I used to take pain pills before training and it always worked like a performance enhancer for me lol. But i was so hooked i couldnt do anything without them cause i would be too sick to do anything lol anyways i dont do that anymore and i wouldnt recommend it

Everyone is different on weed I guess. I was 36-0 my senior year in wrestling and I had the state record for fastest pin. I smoked before almost every match lol

Ditto- opiates gave me an amazing energy boost at the gym. Best PWO ever.

Not a drug really, but started using cbd oil/gummies and definitely helps with appetite if need be.

Kratom and shytloads of nicotine gum. Sucks on leg day cause you will sweat everywhere and then end up vomiting. ??

I use Phenibut to potentiate alcohol when I got out, I turn the **** up on less than 3 drinks for the entire night on 2 grams of Phenibut. Combined with a little stimulants, absolute god mode! Super loose and super composed all at the same time. Really loving Phenibut.

Dude that sh!t is intense. Have you actually taken it? I only took a "small" amount and was tripping HARD for over 36 hours

It's not enjoyable. And WAY stronger. But may also help with Parkinson's and is proven to help with opiod addiction. And is very cardiotoxic

I could totally see this being a massive benefit. If you know how to control the drug, it allows you to tap into your nervous system on a level that you cannot do normally

I read something about high flyers in Silicon Valley doing this......was to give them a creative yet productive edge

I hope a lot of these posts aren’t for real because this is the kind of **** that gives bodybuilders and people who truly embrace the health aspect of the sport a bad name if you have to smoke or use some kind of substance because for whatever reason you can enjoy training sober than please find another hobby outside of bodybuilding. If you wanna live and breath bodybuilding than just be good at that, you wanna smoke pot or take other recreational drugs than be the best at that. Don’t try to be a jack of all trades master of none please.. sorry just my opinion.. it would always annoy me to hear the idiots at the gym training Monday to Friday just to get ****ed up all weekend. It’s like congratulations on wasting your time. Again not attacking anybody I’m just very against recreational drugs because of a lot of **** that I seen it could do

I'm going to take it a step further and say competitive bodybuilding is actually Extremely unhealthy. The dehydration, the combination of drugs, the stress on the endocrine system, etc etc. Smoking weed before you go in the gym is mild

You are a tool and obviously have a very little understand of pharmacology. Arnold smoked weed daily, it has some very beneficial aspects for bodybuilding. Such as increased insulin sensitivity, helps increase hungry, pain relief, etc.

I agree. I mean really. To each their own. You get benefits from weed or whatever? Go for it. Speaking as a recovering drug addict i used to dose opiates and kratom pwo cause i loved the feeling of training on it. I also used to smoke week prior to training. Also as someone who has reaped the benefits and found negatives of all these far outweighed the benefits for me i quit. But i aint gonna bash anyone for reaping the benefits and being able to not fall victim to the negatives. I wish i could. But i dont see the need for bradleyt1 to come in and roast anyone for using anything really. You disagree with what theyre doing? Say so and leave it at that. You dont have any place to be so judgmental with these guys who are just our brothers on the internet that enjoy training just like we do. Theres people that live and breathe bodybuilding and are also most likely way better at it than you that also partake in recreational drugs i bet. I bet theres also people that live and breathe bodybuilding that are also way better at it that would say the same thing to you about using anabolics. I bet you wouldnt like it very much. Sorry, wasnt meant to end up a lecture. It just bothers me to see someone attack other people because they're doing the same thing a different way and you think its a terrible thing to do it differently

Agreed!!!! Plus drugs aren't bad. It's is how people use them how and why, that makes them "bad". They are just molecules. If you get benefits from something that out weigh the side effects, and it is not ruining your life then who cares.

Not really meth can have great benefits. In lower doses can be neuroprotective and cause neurogenesis. it is very smooth and clean stimulant. Way less side effects in medical doses then Adderall. Hell it can and still is prescribed for narcolepsy and or ADHD. If I had to say one drug that is "bad" would be coke but even that has some benefits.

Lets face the truth here. Bodybuilders who use PED's are risk takers, meaning, they are also likely to do some other illicit drugs.
Personally, I don't care about it, but pretending that its not true is blatantly lying. Look at the "legal" pre workout stims we are taking. Some of them scare the sh1t out of me -and are hitting harder than any scheduled drug (for me rauwolfia + yohimbine HCL = crack on meth)

I know people who do smack every morning. 1 shot after breakfast and that's it. There good all day.
Lots of people can handle drugs.
