not the same.

omega 6 is linoleic acid , the gets converted to gamma linoleic acid, which then become arachidonic acid. so an omega 6 pill is not the same, but it was a good thought,

AA belongs to the n-6 family.

So how much LA do you need to get the gram on AA?

42. (Thank you Douglas Adams)

Come on, there is no way to yield even an approximate uniform answer for that. You can either purchase X Factor, bulk AA from NP, or eat a ton of sunflower seeds (42g omega 6 per cup, coincidence?) and see which one works better for you.

yes it does belong to the omega 6 family, but taking LA or GLA alone, is NOT the same as taking pure AA.

because it still needs further breeakdown to get to AA

wait so if i eat 20 eggs a day ill get the about 1000mg of AA?

wouldnt that be cheaper than buying x-factor

well isnt the source of the aa in x-factor eggs

yeah i definately couldnt eat 20 eggs a day for 20 days.

its hard enough remebering to take my bulk x-factor everyday.

check out my log

if you can eat 20 whole eggs a day for 20 days i would be extremely impressed,

the problem with the egg theory is oxidation of the AA when cooking them. so either eating 20 raw yolks and taking the salmonella risk, or cooking them and taking the risks of getting no AA but still eating that much in yolks + fat :P
