Sweet workouts and numbers bro!

Curious what Seated EZ-grip Machine Overhead Extensions is tho :think:

another member that does seated dips with the stack :)

side lat raises 50x15? that's straight up hoss man.

Seriously!

Damn you guys get all the cool machines!

I actually got two of my sets on the Machine Dips recorded; just real up close cus it's right in front of a mirror. I'm trying to upload it to YouTube, but I'm having some minor problems with it. It keeps canceling/failing to upload on me. Will let you know when it's up.

And Irish; can you picture that exact machine there, only with a 'lever'-like ez-bar machine grip? Such that the movement is one fixed range, on not 'free-range' like the cable and ez-grip handle was on that machine you ID'd . . . ? That's the kind of machine it is. From now on I'll make sure to snap pics of the odd machines/movements I'm doing; it'll make it much easier. But you caught the grasp of the machine; only it's not a cable version of it, but a fixed-range lever . . .

nice :) if i had a video recorder i'd post mine :( frikken old camera could do it - cheap ass kodak, but i broke the screen. the new camera is a top end digital (10megapixel) and it won't do video. WTF is up with that?

Here's the Dip Machine video.

You freaking Yetti beast. :p - Nice dips! Shoulders look insane bro.

Lol, thanks a lot, bro !! Gotta be representing the Scandinavian roots all the whey here !

.. regarding your gyno-treatment question. The past 2.5 weeks, I've been using Cabergoline @ .5-.75mg EOD alongside of 2.5mg Letro EOD. Sex drive has decreased, but puffiness is THANKFULLY reduced, and the lump/tissue has reduced in size. I don't wish to comment too much as I don't want to jinx myself . . . but so far, so good, even without Epidrol.

I do that same thing, and I seem to be the only one that does it at my gym. I like the way this position draws your pecs in, so I usually end my chest days with these.

You're looking yacked Thomas. Remind me not to wear my underarmour around you.

Appreciate the comments, fellas !

Volcom; I, too, add this one in as a finishing touch on Chest day, but the squeeze I get on the bottom of this movement really gives me a contraction worth mentioning. I realize I used slightly loose form in the sense that my arms weren't rubbing up against my sides, but to me, it was also a matter of working around my sore shoulder joints.

I love that dip machine. I used to use it all the time. But doesn't it go to 300? I could've sworn there was a dial you spin to add more weight (0-30#)? Or am I tripping?

As for my Heart Health:

Blood Pressure remains elevated; varying from 140/85 to 160/80 from doctors visit to doctors visit. In the past three weeks, i've had seven appointments so I've been able to maintain records of my readings. It ain't good . . . this is including 2.5 weeks on a beta blocker (Inderall @ 80mg XR a day), so that definitely ain't good !

I went back to see a different doctor at Texas A&M, because the first one was very unprofessional with everything. This second one, who I saw yesterday, got me set up on Lisinopril HCT, thanks to myself having done the research . . . So I stopped the Beta Blocker, and started the Lisinopril HCT this morning.

This morning I also had an EKG [so YET another doctors appointment] to check and see if they found any blockages, decreased blood flow, etc. I got hooked up with the wiring, and BP was, yet again, 160/80. I saw there for 25 minutes with the EKG machine on, seeing my pulse - resting pulse rate simply sitting there - go up and down from 62 - 94. Most BP readings had my pulse at 100, which is TOP/HIGH Normal. OBVIOUSLY not good news. The doctor came in, checked the Baseline readings of the EKG, turns to me, and tells me I failed the baseline reading. I can't specifically remember how he explained it, because it was based on the readings off of the graphs. I had some disturbances in my reading which didn't qualify me to jump on the treadmill and perform the actual test. He told me this is likely to be a direct sign of an enlarged heart . . . so I wasn't feeling too good about it. This doctor referred me on to a Cardiologist, who I'm seeing next Monday, where I'll be doing a test similar to the EKG, only much more sensitive. It's a Nuclear-yada-yada something, so I'm sensing radiology ahead. I might also be getting an ultrasound of my heart at that time.

.. will update as I go along with these doctors visits, etc. I'm also heading out to Colorado on the 15th of May with my girl. And I need to finish finals. But damn, at least I'm doing my best to treat my current issues. Better later than never, but I sure as hell waited long enough to get on this cardiovascular health issue . . .

The one at Gold's here only goes to 270 lbs, but then there's that dial where you can add 0, 5, 10, and 15 lbs, so essentially, the MAX stack is 285. I just didn't feel like 'dialing in' at the time I was doing them, LOL.

I wish you all the best, bro. It'd probably be in your best interest to put the hormones aside for a good while while you get this all figured out.

Oh, that's it. 0-15. Yeah, I believe that's the exact same machine we have at my gym.

when did this problem initially come to your attention?

I wish you all the best, bro. It'd probably be in your best interest to put the hormones aside for a good while while you get this all figured out.

Yeah, man, for sure. Hormones are out from here on. I'll be taking a greater aim at merely having a healthy body; I need to get over the hunch of looking healthy superficially, but not feeling healthy internally.

when did this problem initially come to your attention?

I was diagnosed with high BP as a Senior in high school. I tried out Toprol XL for a while - 5 years ago - but did not experience any benefits from it. So once my health insurance ran out, as did my prescription meds.

I went untreated w/high BP for years. As long as I could have fans on high in my apartment, and the A/C on in the 60s, I'd be OK, so I've simply dealt with it. But I haven't had ONE comfortable dinner or shopping experience with my girlfriend in years. By that, I mean that not once in years and years did I not feel heightened perspiration, had major difficulty adjusting to room temperatures, would turn red, skin would go blotchy from time to time, etc. All along, since I had the same girl who knew my issues, I never sought out to actually fix the problem. I might even have assumed it'd work itself out.

After months and months of working at a night club and sweating my ass off while carrying on any random conversation, I decided I had it. At GNC, I needed the A/C on 60-65 degrees, or else, without warning, I'd get the sweats. I WAS SO GOD DAMN FED UP WITH IT ! So 3 weeks ago, I began my doctors visits . . . and now I'm here.

well props for realizing theres a problem and not trying to ignore it. u think its from hormone usage, how about ur docs?

Way to be smart about it, bro. I sincerely applaud you. :clap2:

We don't have that machine. Our gym has it in a hammer strength, so its free weight loaded, and I usually need assistance to bring the weight down (b/c it exceeds my bodyweight of course), then I have to Jiu Jitsu wrap the seat so I stay planted and not get teeter tottered by the weight.

I've got that Hammer Dip Machine available as well. I haven't experimented much with it in a long time, as I seem to remember it straining my shoulder joints too much. But the feeling of loading up the 45 lbs. plates on each side is quite the sensation !

Except for that guy who does basketball reps on that thing. I call it the dribble rep. Some guy at my gym loads up the plates and after he gets that first rep, he drops the weight at full speed and bounces off the rubber guard for illegitimate reps, grunting the entire time.

Next time I should ask him if I can get next game.

Yeah, whenever I try pushing the stack on our dip machine I will generally ask someone to help me get the weight down to start out as well. And there's no seat belt on it either, so I do the leg wrapping too so as not get flung off the machine. :lol:

* Sick workout; out of this world, to be honest ! I had so much energy and stamina in me today; NOT thanks to thermogenics/caffeine, but thanks to Beta Alanine. I had 6 caps MORPH 40 minutes pre-workout, and 2 caps Peak Beta [2,000mg Beta Alanine] approximately ten minutes pre-workout. It's like I swore when I ran the Intra-bolic/Intra-X-Cell; Beta Alanine - when taken in the proper dosages - is far superior to stims/thermogenics for enduring weight training session. With my high intensity, low rest, and high volume - then like now - Beta Alanine is a MUST, and absolutely, 100%, essential !

* Incredible energy and endurance. Definitely shattered records on that close-stance hack squats; I could NOT believe I got three sets with 450 for 8 with my legs tucked together. The pump didn't kick in really until I did the seated leg curls. When topped off with the leg curls . . . dayummm . . . now I'm only hoping I can muster up the energy to show up to work for the night !

You love that beta don't you? I might need to try this one day when i gets some money to spend on supps. I haven't spent money on supps in months except for protein> Maybe i should make a meth lab j/k but being broke is gay for bodybuilding!

I finally got caught up in here. Good luck with the doctors visit on Monday.

Much appreciate it, bro ! That should be the biggest doctors visit thus far in this round. With the ultrasounds and other tests, I hope to get a final verdict on what's going on.

* I received my BC+EAA from Legal Gear yesterday, and it was my first day using it. I thre 8 scoops in 60 oz. of water. Started drinking it on my way to the gym, and sipped on it throughout my workout. The difference was incredible in terms of:
* increased stamina and edurance
* increased vascularity to a dramatic extent !!!
* increased pump
* increased fullness

.. I'm telling you, I did NOTHING dramatic in terms of my eating today, and last night I even had a couple cranberry vodkas at work, so there was no other factor that could've contributed to this dramatic increase in overall workout intensity than the BC+EAA. Log will be coming up tomorrow. I've got a loooong day of studying ahead, with my last final coming up tomorrow.

Good luck with the final and your doctors visit. Glad the BC+EAA treated you well. You finish school soon, right? I can't wait to be done. Assuming the new FL gambling legislation passes, I'll probably be moving down to south FL after I graduate. Pretty stoked about that. Uncapped poker games and no state income tax...holla!
