Nad Goes Andro

Whoops, meant busy. Your a busy dude.

Ok thank's that makes more sense. I didn't even go in to half of what i got going on this month. I almost thought about waiting till May because this month is going to be soo busy but i needed something to look forward to with all this hectic crap going on.LOL

It starts with the core and grip strength. I have grappled with guys that are 150 lbs and would be up embarrassing numbers in the gym, but are EXTREMELY difficult to move because they have wrestled for 15 years. There is something about the core strength that you get from judo, wrestling, and BJJ combined with their vice-like grip.

Agreed, the goal is to create a training environment that incorporates weighted/explosive/functional movements that are imperative to on field athletics. No bubbles and balls training, biceps curls, or butt machine bs, incorporate oly lifts, and use the basics bench/deads/squats and dynamic cardio. At least that's how I feel...

Not very often, but right now is worse then normal. I was at work from 8 till 3:30 went to the gym. Then went straight to a wedding and just got home. Right now I'm waiting for a phone call to tell me if I have to work tomorrow.wiether I work tomorrow or not I'll post up my workout and some thought on the Andro. Right now I'm going to bed

wow nice start. Thinking of running an hdrol clone with andro lean atm for a recomp. Will be checking back here to watch your progress :D

It's the explosive part that is always overlooked. That's one of the reasons I am really big on using bands while training to increase the demand for bar speed and power.

Thanks i'll try to answer any question you have.

Saturady Day 6

Saturday is normaly a off day for me. But i had to go from work to a wedding so i hit the gym for awhile to use the shower instead of Driving a half hour home only to turn around and drive back for the wedding.

Workout:
Cardio 1 mile
I did some pullups forget exactly how many
Lat pull downs 140 3x8 Shoulder width grip
Lat pull downs 100 3x10 wide grip
Cardio 1 mile

That was it just a quick in and out only had about a half hour.

Diet:My diet has been way off with all the over time and the wedding.I plan to be back on track today.

Thoughts on the Andro: So far i've been really pleased. Mood has been much better then it would expect normally with every thing going on. I deffinetly have more energy and my libido well let just say it's more active than normal.:smirk:

Day 7 off

Day 8

Squats 175 10x10 superseted with (finished all set next week 180)
Calf raises 200 10x10 (think i need to find a better 2nd exercise)
Hanging leg raises 3x15

I weighted in a 203.8 today about 1lbs more then when i started, but with all the junk i've been eating and the high salt that comes with it's hard to say if it's just water weight. My diet has been better today but not great i need to go shoping tonight to stock up. I still havn't made up my mind on the GVT as to weither i like it or not. It certainly kicked my butt to day but i just worry that i'm not getting a balanced full body workout by not hitting a varity of different movements.

Thoughts on the Andro: Still feel grat and getting a good pump today if the first day that i've felt a real thermogenic effect by the end of my workout i was swaeting like crazy and my body temp. felt throught the roof. Even know over a hour later my body temp feel elevated. This if the first day i took 50mg of haloplex so it might have something to do with that.Only down side sofar is that i'm getting back pumps. They where getting pretty sever by the end of my workout. I started taking Taurine at 5 grams prework out next time i'll up it to 7 to see if that helps.

Looking good. Back Pumps are unexpected, but it seems you know how to respond properly.

Why not do stiff-legged deads? That way you stay balanced and keep the hamstrings loose.

That might be good. I usally do deads on friday with stiff-legged for warm up. I just wonder if that would make my back pumps even worse.

Dosing at rec dose? Back pumps? Iiiiiiiiinteresting.

Keep in mind that i'm also taking 50mg of halo-plex. I seem to be prone to back pumps. I get them even when i'm not ON if i go very heavy in my squats, but there not to bad usualy.

Day 9:

Workout:

Bench 165 10x10 superseted with
BB rows 110 10x10
Back flye 110 3x10
Incline db press 40 3x10

I was pretty pumped to finish todays sets i know 165lb bench isn't much but around the 8th set i really started to feel it. I'm not sure if its the Andro or just the GVT but i've been getting good pumps on almost every exersice. I've also been hungary all the time, making it hard to stick to a good diet.Tomorrow in a lighter day with some cardio curios to see if back pumps will be much of a issue now that i'm on Taurine.

I got back and shin pumps on a halo clone as well man. had to get up to 7-10 grams of Taurine to alleviate those

I had no problem today. Tomorrow will be the real test i'm going to try 7 grams and see if its atleast some what better

How's your overall electrolyte intake (Na, Cl, K, Mg, etc.)?

Whats Cl as far as i know thats Cholrine
During my workouts i take Volumize from Bsn and 1 scoop of Whey. They both have your basic electrolytes but not in high quanitys. I also take my multi about 1 hr before going to the gym.

Chloride. You might want to pick up some magnesium.

I think you will be pleased with the Taurine. It has helped many people :)
And as Rodja mentioned, electrolytes are of big importance also!

Have you ever thought of something like sugar free powerade? Ive thought of either using that or just getting powdered Gatorade.

I think that i'm going to try next. I only got the Volumize, because it was cheap at the A.C. and i got a free shirt and samples if i bought something.

Been really busy with the new software at work so a little late in posting this.

Day 10

This is my mid week light day so:

Cardio 1.15 miles
Leg Raises 3x16
Incline side crunch 30 3x16
Hand Curls 135x15 185x12 185x10 135x15

I got to the gym late and didn't have very much time.

The back pump's weren't really and issue.I took 7 grams of Taurine and started taking a Sup. for Kidney health.

Day 11

Ezybar curl 70 10x10 super seted with
Skullcrushers 70 10x10
Dips Bw 3x10
Hammercurls 40 3x10

Each workout that i up the weight i keep thinking that i'm not going to be able to finish. By the time set 7-8 come around i think i'll never finish but i just get in a zone and there no way i'm going to let my self come up short. Thats one thing i like about the GVT when you finish you feel like you've really accomplished something. The down side is that the high volume is killing my joints. I already take a Joint multi and 5 grams of Fish oil but i'm going to have to find something more if i'm to keep this up for a few more weeks.

Fish oil didn't help my joints until I got to 20grams, have you tried cissus or celladrin (sp)?

20 grms of fish oil..thats a lot. Cissus is pretty good for joints, ive had good results from it.

I take 10 grams regularly. I think 5 grams is just too low.

I'm going to up to atleast 8 to see if I notice a difference.

I had to work through lunch today and didn't make it to the gym so not much to say. I'm going out of town this weekend so I won't get a chance to make it up.

Oh and by the way I'm 30 today

The big 3-0! Happy birthday bud:friday:

It's only a number bubba. Happy B-day!

It feels like I just turned 21, but I'll be 27 in a few months. The older I get, the faster time goes by.

Do you have kids Rodja? That is where you really see time fly.

No children, but I have 3 dogs that occupy my time. My oldest I've had for almost six years now and it makes me sad because he's getting gray and can't move around as well as he could when he was a puppy.

Same here 2 Yorkies and 1 Irishwolf hound and no kids.

Nad I forgot to comment when you asked about my GVT training... yes I do was doing the 5 day cycle. I think it's imperative, otherwise the training stimulus wears off (i.e., a week inbetween chest training is too long). At least imo.

I've recently switched to stripped down hypertrophy and will keep this up for 8 more weeks. It's kind of similiar to GVT but works two separate rep ranges and the workouts are basically total body, 5 days a week.

Sub'd...
Happy B-day.

I take animal flex and is one of my only "staples". I love it. Elbows/Knees used to bother me more when I was doing more preacher curls/distance running. Since taking the flex I've had minimal issues.

Keep up the good work.

Might give it a try, been having some joint soreness lately, and if it heightened on cycle, I will be looking for ways to handle it.

You'd be surprised how much elbow pain is actually caused by shoulder impingements, weak rotator cuff muscles, and neglected lower traps.

The only time that my elbow really bothers me is when i do Skullcrushers or cable pulldowns. I have tried Animal Flex in the past it worked ok but what i've been taking has been as effective at half the cost. Usally when it starts to flair up i take Y...... can't remeber the name have to see if i have an old bottle at home or find the thread on here that talks about it. it for tendons and inflamation. I got it at vitamin world last time i'll stop by and see if i can find it again.

Day 16 (yesterday)

Been insanly busy and tired lately so i didn't get to the gym on friday or monday.

Yesterday i worked through lunch (when i normaly go to the gym) so i went after work. Last couple day's i have been really beat. I think it's a combination of the long day's low carbs and lack of sleep. So even though i didn't feel like it i dragged my self to the gym after a 10hr day at work.

Bench 170 10x10 superseted with (only got 9 on set 9 and 7 on set 10)
Bb rows 110 10x10
Back fly 110 3x10
incline Db fly's 40 3x10

First time since starting GVT that i didn't finish a set. I still think that if have more energy next week i'll go for 175.
