My prayers and best wishes for your wife. I live in the biggest retirement community in the world here in The Villages. Cancer is perhaps the most common and most feared concern.

What I have advised my friends for years and have seen many have success is forst to start taking Vitamin D3. Forget the RDAs of 4oo IUs. Forget the mild recommendations of 2000 IUs. Forget the use of 5000 IUs for cancer prevention and consider taking at least 10,000 IUs daily to address the existing cancer. MS patients are now running a test program with 30,00 IUs so that seems to be the tested, tolerable limit so far. My wife who has a severe precancerous condition that kille one of he twin brothers, Van Recklinghausens disease, takes 5000 ED as I do with my prostate concerns. Try NOW Foods, Vitamin D3 at 5000 IUs per, 120 softgels at BB.com for $7.99.

Second, try Super Curcumin C3 Complex with Bioperine, 60 cap;ets $14.05 from Puritan's Pride. Curcuminh is normally recommended at 400 to 500 mg for 2X ED. Those fighting cancer try 1000 mg 2X ED. Taken with VIoperin it works much better.

Selenium is a nother staple as a cnacer fighter. People should really only take 200 mcg ED. That is really enough. Available everywhere and cheap.

I have two personal favorites and they are Omega 3s which I take at a minimum of 2 gms ED. Now I do mean the Omega 3 portion and not just the Fish Oil. In order to reach this number I have to take at least 5 to 6 gms of Fish Oil depending on my supplier. Barlean's makes a great pharmaceutical grade, orange flavored Omega 3 available in liquidf of gel cap form. The best prices I have found for it are from Vitacost.com.

My other staple is Green Tea. I believe in taking at least 3 gms ED as a preventative but in this case you might want to have her take 5+ gms ED. The best around is get the powder here on Nutra Planet and cap it yourself especially if you want to take so much.

Lastly there are two liquids I rely on. The one is 100% pure Pomegranite juice. I use an inexpensive 64 oz bottle from Old Orchard that I get at the nearby Pulix store for $6.99. Pomegranite is a superbv anti-oxident and also works well when people are going through Chemo to improve the success rate. I take it as a preventative and also because with all the pill I take, it works great to ease them down LOL.

Lastly I believe strongly in resveratol. Google it, it is the hottest thing in the market now. Of course the Dutchess and I augment our usage by drinking a bottle of Merlot or Cabernet every night just to be healthy LOL.

My wife is ok. I didn't update here, thought I'd let it die, but since it;'s back:

Her doc blew it, ****ing **** told her definitively 'you have cancer' after an mri. We had weeks of fear and doubt, seeing specialists, and after an unsuccessful biopsy and two successful operations, we know the lump was a non-cancerous schwanomma. She had cancer before, so it's still 12 years cancer free.

I think this comes down to down regulation of the IGF-1 receptor caused by lower calories. Seems that going into starvation mode for the short term increases antioxidants and increases your body's resistance to chemotherapy damage but it does not increase the resistance of cancer cells.

There's some interesting work being done in this field including figuring out how aging works. It doesn't seem to work in humans so far but in mice, worms and fruit flies to name a few, mutations in the gene coding for the IGF-1 receptor have allowed aging to be slowed down by as much as 5 times.

Also I was just listening to this podcast this morning, haven't listened to it all but it's all about the genes thought to cause aging and what work is being done to try and influence human aging

B-17....never heard of it? that's because the FDA does not allow it to be sold in the US since the early 80's; too much competition for the anti cancer drugs. you can import it though, and make sure you do all the reading up on it. p

Vitamin B17 has been undermined by our government but it is used extensively in other countries as a first line therapy for treating cancer. It selectively seeks out a kills cancer cells while actually nourishing normal cells. Poison! sorry just saw this post now, i know how it feels, it is a very touchy subject to me. I lost my mother to cancer last year. Life has been upside down ever since. I am glad things turned out for the better for you.

We were recommended by Hahnemann College for Heilkunst in Canada at
w w w homeopathy dot com and others from India was that Liquid Chlorophyll Concentrate in distilled water is very beneficial. Their school of thought is that cancer thrives in a toxic environment, this seems to neutralize that toxicity and maintain a positive balance. Hope this helps.

What kind of cancer are we talking about??

Sorry for all the questions but I have 2 family members who have survived cancer, and both were different types 1 was lymphoma, and the other was breast cancer. My mom who had the breast cancer completely overhauled what we *ALL* ate in the house :( but it helped her tremendously, we threw everything at it including the kitchen sink.

I have a cousin in AZ who's farther was terminal, he tried something that's called "Indian Mud" I have not researched it yet. It was effective with him. I plan on looking more into this and if its something will post more

I read about this a few years ago and have preached it quite a bit to friends. But never over the internet. It's a very touchy subject but what you have said has been proven. It releases nitrilosides in your body which can't exist in the same enviroment as cancer and will eat up cancer cells.

What form do you have your 100mg? I have seen both orals and injectable.

I usually just grind up a few apricot kernels and have them in cereal or yoghurt. Too many can be toxic though. One kernel for every 10lbs of bodyweight was recommended to me.

Very interesting subject.
 
there have been proven cases of people abstaining completely from sugar, and being cured of cancer. this is probably because cancer feeds off of sugar.
