Boy, coming back into lifting after so long off kinda sucks. My ability to recover has decreased significantly from such little volume.

Push low weight back down sets or superset with a safer compound or even isolation to add more volume & drive GPP safely.
Or run giant sets at the end if you need to be very careful on the big lifts, however you can get more done overall in your training window.
Whatever you need to do to get the workload & increase training density. Even just shorter rests and more/higher rep sets on smaller accessories at the end. It will force you to get more fit.As always, I appreciate it!

Haven’t lifted since. I’ve had diarrhea for the last three days, coughing like crazy and my heart rate has consistently been in the 100s unless I’m sleeping.

Not me. Covid sent me to the hospital with heart inflammation, tachycardia, lymph nodes swollen mid axillary, low back pain that didn’t let up, coughing 24/7, headache all day for two weeks, nausea and no appetite.
