Have only worked out sporadically for the last year - despite buying gym equipment.

I’ve determined I’ll have two sessions- one each; upper/lower with compound movements and a top “heavy” set and one session each upper/lower of body weight movements timed total reps.

So, generally it’ll look something like this

Upper -
Barbell x3-6 @8/9
Cable movements 3-4 sets 8-15r

Lower
200 squats for time
1000 sets on stair climb

Upper
100 push ups for time
75 pulls ups for time
1000m row

Lower
Squat x3-6@9 + 1-3 back down sets
Trap deadlift x5@9 + 1-3 back down sets
Leg curl 3-4 sets of 10-15r

Boy, coming back into lifting after so long off kinda sucks. My ability to recover has decreased significantly from such little volume.
Lean into the suffering.

Push low weight back down sets or superset with a safer compound or even isolation to add more volume & drive GPP safely.

Or run giant sets at the end if you need to be very careful on the big lifts, however you can get more done overall in your training window.

Was thinking of myo reps or cluster sets however, giant sets could be key as well.
Whatever you need to do to get the workload & increase training density. Even just shorter rests and more/higher rep sets on smaller accessories at the end. It will force you to get more fit.

Idk having had both I'd waaaaaaaaay prefer COVID over the flu. The flu feels like f'ing death on spikes in fire covered in ice. While puking with your head in a vice and someone running razor blades along your skin.

I'll gladly give up the opportunity to smell my own farts for a week over that.

Not me. Covid sent me to the hospital with heart inflammation, tachycardia, lymph nodes swollen mid axillary, low back pain that didn’t let up, coughing 24/7, headache all day for two weeks, nausea and no appetite. Would rather have the flu any given day of the week.
