Some good christian screamcore is Underoath, The Chariot and Norma Jean. And Beloved is really good too.

Even though I haven't listened to music while training in a while, when I did it was nothing but the best of Black, Death, and Thrash Metal:

Belphegor
1349
Immortal
Overkill
Exodus
Death
Dissection
and more...

the allman bros. the long ballads for cardio. one way out and whipping post.

The Allman Bros. are one of my favorite bands of all time. I've been to see them live at my local concert venue 7yrs running....this will be 8. I literally take a day off of work and devote my day to the Allman Bros. GREAT BAND BRO!!

Same. Love the Allman Bros.

It varies for me, but I generally prefer high BPM songs, something with driving double-drums. Old metallica and metal works well.

Every now and then I'm also in the mood for DMX or some gangsta rap. :D

Metal: Nightwish(AMAZING), In Flames, Children of Bodom, Atreyu, Avenged Sevenfold, Blind Guardian, Chimaira, Coal Chamber, Cradle of Filth, Dark Tranquility, Disturbed, DragonForce, Fear Factory, Finntroll, Flyleaf, Hammerfall, Hatebreed, Iced Earth, Ill Nino, Killswitch Engage, Lacuna Coil, Machine Head, Opeth, Roadrunner United, Sevendust, Slipknot, Mudvayne, Sonata Arctica, Still Remains, System of a Down, Therion, Tool
(I dont listen to half of this, but i figured i throw some unknown names out there for anyone thats interested)

Punk: Flogging Molly(AMAZING), Dropkick Murphys, NOFX, Against Me!, Bad Religion, Goldfinger, Millencolin, No Use For A Name

Ska (more relaxing/fun than pumpin tunes): Less Than Jake(AMAZING), Reel Big Fish, Streetlight Manifesto, Catch 22, Save Ferris, Cherry Poppin' Daddies, Mad Caddies, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Suburban Legends

yup have all these bands. :head:

Drum n Bass (stuff like Noisia, Phace, Mayhem, Prolix, Vicious Circle, Unknown Error, Silent Witness, Break, etc)

Hardcore along the lines of Converge, Refused, ShaiHulud, Hatebreed, Bane, Sick of it All, 59 Times the Pain, Raised Fist, etc

It depends. When I workout my favorite songs are:
Mudvayne- Happy
Disturbed- Droppin Plates
Godsmack- I Stand Alone
Korn- Coming Undone or their remix with Dem Franchize Boyz, Coming Undone With It
Drowning Pool- Let the Bodies Hit the Floor
and theres a lot more.

When I do cardio tho I listen to rap like Lil Jon, Lil Scrappy, Eminem, and more but if I jog at night then I listen to slow songs, don't ask me why.

No electronica or industrial... Jazz... Gosh.

KMFDM
Tool
The white stripes
Pantera
Nine Inch Nails
Soilwork
Rob Zombie
Megadeth
Front Line Assembly

Nine Inch Nails is industrial, they practically started industrial (them and Ministry).

I remember when ACDC and Judas Priest were Heavy Metal/Rock, now they are "classic" rock. Does that mean that I am old? Always have Motley Crue, Iron Maiden, Sabbath as well. Slowly appreciating the new rock forms, just never remember band names. I do like the suggestions for heavy metal, checkin out clips online.

Soundgarden, Velvet Revolver, Powerman 5000 are as new as I get, and Soundgarden is long gone

Ubi told me for him it is a tie between Yanni and John Tesh and that bald guy that plays the saxaphone

CROWLER

I gotta have my Roc a fella, Dip Set, Clipse, Lil Wayne, TI, Cassidy, Most NY stuff, if it's Rock I need Metallica or Godsmack.

Major tool fan here just saw them last night at the excell center in minneapolis.
Other than that:
Poison the Well
American Head Charge
Chevelle
Ill Nino
From Autumn to Ashes
Killswitch Engage
Rise against
Old Snapcase
Skyecamefalling
Atreyu

I'm sure I'm forgetting a ton.

I voted for Rap because that's probably what I have the most of on my player, but I prefer a wide array.

Rap - 2Pac, 50 Cent, old Bone-Thugz, Dr. Dre/Cube/Eazy/NWA, Snoop, old Master P/No Limit, Outkast, DMX, etc....

Metal/Rock/Industrial - Pantera, Metallica, old Guns-N-Roses, Skid Row, Korn, Limp Bizkit, Rob Zombie/White Zombie, etc....

Dance/Club/Trance - Crystal Method, Chemical Brother, Fatboy Slim, Rammstein, Prodigy, Amber, and a bunch that I don't really know their names...

Ouch I forgot Prodigy, Rammstein and Crystal Method...

I guess if I was in a REALLY good mood I might be able to listen to DMX. Maybe.

im all about hard rock. kind of off topic but does any1 know of a cheap mp3 player that holds like 1000songs? im cheap i dont want an ipod, rather use money to buy more gear lol

I'm a Deadhead so I'd have to say the Grateful Dead.
But I've been listening to Financial programs of late.

Lux Aeterna, Ecstasy of Gold, Last of the Mohicans theme...stuff like that. No, I am not a Buckethead fan.

Rodja, I've ALWAYS thought the Last of the Mohicans theme was incredible! I'd be interested if you could post a copy of your playlist with those instrumentals... are you a musician as well?

I also agree with the Allman's and Zeppelin for cardio.

Tool and RAGE for powerlifting.

i cant stand rap nevermind lift to it. I swear listening to 18 and life by skidrow gives me a 5% strengh increase

Today it was some old Shattered Realm, and some Stampin Ground.
Usually just straight hardcore...Madball, Sworn Enemy, Death Threat, Irate, Everybody Gets Hurt, Terror, Turmoil, etc...Oh and whoever mentioned Donnybrook!
:squat:

Bury Your Dead
Between The Buried And Me
