Montego gets FREAKY

I hate quinoa, so I'll definitely look for the burgers.

I LOVE black and pinto beans. Yum.

Yeah, one of my favorite meals is Ground Turkey, rice, black beans, salsa, Greek yogurt. Then crunch up some Quest Protein chips over the top! One of my all time favorites. Might add in some guacamole next time too...

I've replaced all my rice with couscous. Hands down my favorite carb source.

Try seasoning your quinoa with the kernel seasonings

Let's see.....

Meal four - grilled chicken salad with olive oil and vinegar dressing

Meal five - 6oz grilled chicken 4oz sliced brisket 1c green beans

Last meal of the day will be 50g whey followed two hours later by twenty minutes of LISS cardio before bed.

Chest and shoulders today

Incline bb - 4 sets of 12-8

Flat bb - 4 sets 12-8

Flat db -'4 sets 10-7

Hammer strength shoulder press ss side lateral - 4 sets 12-9, 4 sets 15-12

Shrugs ss bb front raise - 5 sets 15-12, 4 sets 15-10

Cable fly monster set

Rear Delt fly monster set

Was a pretty intense session. Almost every set went to failure besides the first two sets of incline bb. Shoulders and chest are fried right now despite the lower volume.

Woke up late today so was scrambling to get going before I was too late.

Meal 1 - 50g whey (Hate liquid meals first thing in the morning)

Meal 2 - 6oz tuna steak, 1c green beans

Meal 3 pre training (1 hour before training) - 8oz chicken 1/2c oats, 1/4c blueberries

Meal 4 (immediately post workout) - 50g isolate, 50g karbolyn

Meal 5 (1.5 hours post workout) - 10oz ground Turkey 2c salad no dressing just salt and pepper, 1c Jasmine rice

Meal 6 will be steak and broccoli I'm thinking

Yeah I used the old formula before and I like this one better. Isn't as heavy in the stomach as the old one to me.

Agreed. I use and like the new one better.

One of my fav meals too! Sans the quest chips; never had em but never met a chip I don't like. Greek yogurt also pairs really well w scrambled eggs and salsa (especially black bean salsa), btw - just a couble tbsp really lubes up the eggs so they're much easier to eat as you get full.

I've replaced all my rice with couscous. Hands down my favorite carb source.

It makes me think of cornmeal sawdust, if there is such a thing.....I find it gets dry really fast when you reheat it.

Lol sawdust.

Really? When I reheat it its just as soft and sticky as if I just took it out of the pot. You could add a tsp of CC oil to it when you cook it if you wanted

anytime you reheat it or rice in the microwave add a tbsn of water to the dish prior to reheating. it will re-steam it and make it fresh.

Good tip. After I typed the comment about couscous drying I realized everything dries as you reheat it lol

Maybe I'm weird but I have gotten used to eating cold chicken and rice .... cold beef and rice .... etc. I pack it in my tupperware container and open it up, toss in some hot sauce and its good to go. Even when I am at home I have caught myself doing the same thing before I realize I am standing right in front of the microwave ;)

Yuck, not a big fan of cold rice. Reminds me of some of the first MRE's the military came out with back in 1984...terrible...lol

Good to see you being active in here again. Looks like things are going well for you too. I tried the CousCous thing and it was okay, just not real big on pasta in that form. When made right with some good seasoning it is pretty legit but cooking it in the microwave definitely leaves something to be desired.

Well...I never had to do the MRE thing but I hear ya. I did just eat some left over pork loin and brown rice with broccoli .... AND I heated it all up in the microwave since I'm at home ;)

I don't know what you guys are doing to your couscous lol

Boil 1 and 1/4 cup water and add a cup of couscous remove from heat and let stand for 5 mins.

Taste =/= to rice. High(er) fiber, pro and same cho content.

Definitely a good idea. Do you have a goal as far as how many lbs you would like to add?

Shooting for 215 realistically at the same bf as my first show. So 17lbs. I've probably got about eight of that on atm without any (extra help) four the last two months.

Some meal prep. Tilapia with red onions and squash. Never tried this before so I dunno how it will be. Baking it.

Yeah those are dry weight measures.

I ditched the Karbolyn yesterday mainly because of the cheat meal the day before.

Sounds doable to me!

I think with the rest of this year, part of next and the guaranteed four or five lbs of muscle from pre contest cycle its very doable.

Especially if I can keep the off season diet in check.
