Methyl Cobalamin

I read about SubQ injections and are yet to try them. I'll try them later on today I suppose. A subq injection might be nice to have in the low belly abdomen fat area. I'll have to pull up a bit of fat that's still there. I'll ram it in at a 30 degree angle and we'll see how it goes. My hypothesis is that the SubQ administration will make the B12 enter my body faster than that of IM and therefore I will have a quick burst of energy, followed by a very restful night. Lately I have been getting 6 hours of sleep per night and not even being tired during the day. Any ideas on that? Unless it's the albuterol but I stopped taking it for 1 day to see if it was so I believe that it isn't.

From everything I've read, it would be the opposite. SubQ would be slower, and IM would be faster. I don't think albuterol has anything to do with the energy. I have been using it for asthma (as an inhaler) for a long time, and it never gave me "real" energy, just a quick jittery energy sometimes.

As I read I think now that they said SubQ would be slower. That's why I ran IM. Thanks.

I don't notice too much difference either way, really. I think it absorbs pretty fast either way.

The methyl-B12 also works as a great IGF diluent for those that refuse to use AA (like me!) Still stable at the 60 day mark and it's a great way to kill two birds with 1 pin.

cool

Doesn't really seem to matter much. I think consistent dosing is the key moreso than how you pin it.

I agree. I myself have been spacing my injections more and more and I must admit that the additional energy effect has vanished for me.

Which must mean I am always in that state and don,t get a boost anymore. Anyone else get that?

Sounds like you're well loaded for now. Take a holiday from it for a month or two. It can last up to 6yr in the liver once your loaded!

Sure wish I could find some methylcobalamin.

Damn interested in seeing if my hamster will notice it's effects, he is currently taking Accacol for a intestinal disorder.

The place I have seen it in the past seems to no longer carry it.

Uhhh.. are you being serious?

I tried oral methylco, and it just made me sleepy and groggy when I wake up in the morning.

Most people can only get things like methylcobalamin for veterinary use(animal testing), so if a human used it, it would be illegal...thats why he has his HAMSTER on it...

Yeah, I read alot for several years. Didn't feel the need to clutter up the board with useless posts. I'm a member of so many boards that I sometimes forget about the others.

Actually, no. We never have any idea what you talk about so we figure you must be talking ultra-science over our heads and just rep you for what must be mind-shatteringly smart posts if we could only understand them.

I thought I'd bump this as it's that time of year again.

Once again, this year, the methyl B12 is wiping out my allergies!

Thanks Bio!

I just got mine and i was wondering about dosing i'm currently 255lbs at 6'1 if that helps and just wanted it for general health benefits, i did 1ml (1000mcg) shot today and noticed the increased energy and mood lift, how often should i be shooting and how much?

No need to thank me Crunch...this board is about sharing info and it's my pleasure to pass along an easy and healthier way to fight off allergies. I know how much misery they can bring.

There really are no hard or fast rules with dosing. For me, just for energy I can get by on 2-3cc's every 8-10 days. It will also calm down allergies for me at this level but works it's best dosed at 3-4cc's per week taken either all at once or spaced out...doesn't seem to matter for me.

Sometimes I take it before physically and mentally taxing days...or after those type of days just to ease the recovery.

Did you get the Methyl version or the regular?

The regular version I myself am @ 250lbs and have been diagnosed with a b12 deficency and so took 1000mcg every day for 2 weeks and after that 1000mcg 1x month - It is done this way because your liver actually stores it and will use it when it is needed. Sub -Q

For the Methyl version I take it as needed, when I need an extra boost @ 1000mcg Sub -Q

EXCELLENT SUPPLEMENT!!!!!!!!!

I'm thanking you anyway!!! So don't sass me!!

By sharing this info, you saved me from several weeks of absolute misery for two years in a row! I've dealt with spring allergies for as long as I can remember. I've had ALL the different script meds, and none of them come remotely close to the b12. It's got to be the single best piece of info I've gotten from these boards after all this time.

Funny thing...there's an ENT doc I know that says it's total bunk. That b12 does nothing for allergies and no studies prove it does. Ugggh!!

The weird thing is it was only very breifly mentioned in "Alternative Medicine: The Definitive Guide."

In a small paragraph talking about cases studies on asthma in children a naturopath said he used B12 shots and Mg to help with immunomodulation to resolve the symptoms. This got me thinking because I was just starting on regular vet grade B12 and had one of those "come to think of it..I'm not dying from allergies like I normally am" moments. After boosting up the frequency of dosing..I was allergy free. The methyl B12 just works better and faster.

You'd think naturopathic practitioners would be all over this, but I had to actually introduce my accupuncturist/chiropractor to the concept...and he's way into herbal/orthometric therapies.
