interesting workout. May I ask what the rationale behind it is?

rationale for this one is to deplete glycogen while only eating carbs, workout wise anyway. Mostly fruits and veggies for diet. 5 days on this. The goal is to change substrate utillization to carbs. And because protein is not there but the lifts are still heavy and working in the glycolytic anaerobic pathway we are still able to spare protein.

Then after the 5 days we change up the diet and add back in the protein and fats. The influx of aminos and caloric surplus should trigger the body to grow because it just came off a "protein fast". The theory on this is we are sending the body signals that we need protein but we dont have any. Also, we are trying to promote catabolism as well. But the diet only provides enough substrate to keep the workout up.

This whole concept is very different for me because I have run the UD 2.0. Which is basically opposite of this. Protein Sparing modified fast diet for 4 days then carb loads. This way is a protein fast for 5 days then a "normal" bulk > cut diet for 5-6 weeks followed by a 2 week "maintenance" phase. Then repeat. Lifts of course will be changed a bit throughout.

Im no pro at this yet but to sum up the theory > Body has no protein, body is stressed.... Feed body, body grows.... but body cant keep up the growth curve because if not we'd all look like the hulk... so we have to phase it and taper it.

yea basically for 5 days you are starving your body of protein. Oh its going to get better. I have never been this excited to do a workout in a while. And I really think the 2 week mark is when EndoSurge kicks in full charge. I definitely feel it.!

Endosurge: I was feeling the improved sleep from the first week, but these past couple days have been amazing. Dreams increasingly vivid. Also, the past 3 or 4 nights I have been able to sleep through the night. First time in a LONG TIME. Also, I have been waking up with a refreshed feeling. For a long time I have been getting up dreading just getting up, not work, or working out, just the whole waking up process.
Libido is at it's highest so far and its getting dangerous @_@! One thing I have noticed is the muscle fullness. Either I am losing fat or this stuff is keeping me pumped all day, or a combination of both. I noticed my bicep being a bit more defined. It will be interesting, I have never felt this BAD dieting EVER. Its not the brain fog, lethargy that comes with lessening of food... it really feels like my muscles are starving. Like when you do a really high volume workout for chest/back where you hit like 7 super sets back to back and nearly vomit while fainting... Usually im so good dieting, I dont even think about eating non diet food... But this time non diet food is my staples... grass fed beef, chicken breasts... so my body is yelling at me to eat this stuff... and I cant... 3 more days... I might break on thursday night instead.. Just because my wife is coming over... maybe I can coax her into eating some veggie/fruit dinner. But ones thing is for sure... Im am feeling the full effects of this diet. And its only day 2... about 3 more days to go lol.

Ha Ha Ha is there a hidden message in there somewhere. Yeah I dont know how you are doing it. If I don't have protein I am the biggest D!ck. Now ask me is I can go with out carbs and the answer would be yes. Weird I guess.
 
Man that's will power brother. I couldn't do it just couldn't. I can easily pass a cake or donought and not think twice about it. But right now the way I'm feeling in the gym and the new trt I'm like a lion in the wild ready to devour one thing PROTEIN!!! lol Serioulsy I could eat a chicken whole right about now. Stay with it bro!!

I wanna eat a whole chicken..... I'm use to like 250-400g of protein a day man, this is torture lol.

Even though I feel like death i think the combustion is keeping me focused an the endosurge is keeping my aggression up so I don't cower over like some little girl.
Joints are noticeably drier and skin is kinda takin a hit from being a bit more moist/oily from the endosurge. Back to a bit below bass levels. Sad.

Phillipinos party right. Whenever I go to my Flip friend's family gatherings, there's always a whole roasted pig as the center piece of the dinner table. That's so fricken awesome. There's something extra cool about cutting a piece of meat right off the pig. The best tasting, but worst for you is the Chinese version, they deep fry the entire pig, so you get tender meat under pork rine skin, tender and crunchy... I need to stop, I'm making myself hungry and I loves me some tempura, I eat the tail and everything.

Dear god man eat some protein!!!! That wouldn't do anything for me. If I don't get in 50-100 grams of protein per meal I want to die.

Most of the days I have 3-4 meals, so I need that to hit 250 grams a day. I don't eat huge amounts of carbs so protein and fat make up the rest. Most days I can easily throw down 20 ozs of meat.
 
Agreed. And without the protein, I'm also less satisfied and more likely to eat junk that I shouldn't even have in the house.

It's hard. On a VERY surprising note, I actually look leaner and have lost some lower back fat!! Odd haha.

I used to get in around 75g-150g protein in my meals... I miss being full.

Oh yes. Oh yes. The most I have eaten at once was 5kgs of meat. That's around 11lbs in one dinner.

I live alone, well wife lives with me but only on the weekends, and I only eat fresh food so I really have nothing in the house I can cheat with. :).

I used to have family parties on Kauai where we'd kill two pigs and have a boat full of fish.... Seriously I'm gonna kill something pretty soon. I'm sooo hungry for protein I would. Well I'd probably die trying... I'm pretty weak ATM lol.

I'm an enigma. I can eat meat no problem, but try feeding me fruits... Goddam I can barely eat like 5 a day.. And veggies, I love um but they make me constipated... Go figure.
